Good: Beds are very comfortable. Shower has good water pressure. Robot delivery thing is entertaining. Loved the Brita water system and ice! Fridge in room was good. Towels are huge and soft. Bad: the location is very close to the Tenderloin. When we arrived at night it felt unsafe to get out of our cab. We asked for an extra blanket (two beds, needed two blankets!) and they seemed confused as to why we’d need two and then gave us an extra sheet and a ROBE. A robe to use as a blanket. That’s not good service. The front desk people were not welcoming and provided unhelpful advice on basic things like “where is Starbucks?”. Bathroom door would not stay closed. A bathroom door should LOCK.

Highly recommend!! I stayed here with my partner and my parents (2 separate rooms) for 3 nights and had a great experience. We were first-time visitors to SF and this location was perfect for the BART (to and from the airport), cable car, Union Square, etc. We were able to walk or take the BART to all the highlights. I also loved the cafe downstairs (great coffee from Sightglass!) and the novelty of the room service robot. The rooms were a great size for the 2 of us, and the bathrooms/showers are excellent. I don't have a single complaint about the service or accommodations here, the hotel is such a gem. Last but not least, front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! Thank you for a great stay!

I really like this hotel. Very clean and modern. Bed is very comfortable. My issue is that while the room had a blackout blind, there was no shear curtain (looks like it may have been ripped off). Not that there is a view - our room was in a light well. Still it is nice to have outside light and not let the other rooms have a direct view of us. Other minor nits, the shower body wash was empty. This is not a cheap room and you expect this.

The location for this hotel is excellent! It is right next to the cable car and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. To enter the building you have to hit the doorbell button to get buzzed in. They keep the doors locked. The room we got was small but it was good enough for two people with two large pieces of luggage. The bed and pillow were really comfortable.

Fine hotel for a few nights. There were scuff marks all over the room. Not necessarily dirty dirty but not clean either. Neighborhood is not easy to find good food and is fairly rough. Room service was very bad. Other hotels in the area are similar but better. We got a room in the center of the building with a window to the mini courtyard in the middle of the building. It made things very dark and claustrophobic, but quiet. On our last morning at 730am some workers swung down to right to our window and started chipping away at the building, mixing concrete, and yelling. Loud doesn't explain it. The hotel never told us the construction was taking place and when we called, they pretended not to know about it.

First time in San Francisco, and, unfortunately, we did not enjoy the hotel’s facilities as much as we hoped for based on the well designed rooms on the photos online. Room we ended up having was barely meant for two people, cramped, small, uncomfortable: to get to the other side of the bed you would be better off using the beds to jump over, there was not even space for two hand luggage bags. And although the room was clean overall, one would not want to stay in such tiny space for extensive period of time! For the price paid, the hotel without parking was absolutely underwhelming. Would not recommend! On a good side, the front desk was helpful with finding a safe alternative parking in the nearby areas.

Very small room and apparently the AC was broken as they had placed a portable unit in there. I checked out my window and saw other rooms with the same ducting in the windows which showed this seemed to be a common problem. Keep in mind, this is not a Central AC, but individual units installed in the wall under the window. They did provide a beautiful snack and wine assortment as a Welcome gift. The staff were all very friendly too. The coffee shop has an English Language barrier, and they don't open until 7am.

The service was great, rooms were clean and the location is central to almost everything in San Francisco. These are the positives. The building has very little to no natural light and they keep the halls and rooms dark. The beds and pillows need an upgrade. I would say this is a decent place in the heart of SF for the price.

The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, though you'll have to find the entrance first if you're driving. my room A/C would not work at all so it was very toasty. This is definitely on my "do not stay" list, but for the right traveler it would be quite nice

Great location. Absolutely interesting from a design standpoint. The design of the hotel is very detailed oriented and sophisticated. A lot of amenities for the guests from retro arcade games to a private computer room. There is a gym and a lot of places where you can hang out with family or friends. Every space and corner of the hotel has interesting details: the designer did a great job. The rooms are pretty tiny, but they have everything you need for a pleasant stay. In my opinion the furniture is too big for the size of the room. The little bench close to the bed is a killing machine: both of us kicked it during the day; too much for a small room. The coffee machine with Ily capsules to enjoy is a really good coffee. Great bathroom with all the room you need for your toiletry. The staff is great and extremely helpful. Why then one star? The AC in the room is a little portable machine that works well, but makes a loud noise. If you sleep on the side of the bed close to it, you spoil your night. The polyester sheets, new American Standards, do their best to make your night absolutely uncomfortable. The mattress is too soft, and without incapsulated springs, it makes your night unforgettable and not in a good way 😱😱. It's a pity, I really liked this hotel.

Room is small but clean. I got a room that looks out to the back, it's not a pleasant view , but luckily it's on the top floor, so at least it isn't in the shadow of the surrounding building. The location is great, right in front of the cable car terminal and turn table, so easy to witness the turn and get on/off. Shops around are great and good restaurants around.

Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. Would have liked to see a blackout curtain on the window as I was woken at 4am by the adjacent building’s lights.

It was made clear to us that we needed to call ahead 15-30 minutes to get our car out of valet because the weekends were busy. Each time we needed the car i did this, calling ahead by 30 minutes to an hour, and each time the hotel failed to call for our car until we came down to the lobby meaning we had an additional 15-30 minute wait for the car despite calling ahead per the instructions. I would understand this happening once, but it was a consistent issue during our visit. Accommodations are nice enough but the service is not.

BE CAREFUL OF HIDDEN COSTS! Hotel is a great location to get round the city, very clean and safe. Room was pretty small which is expected for a city hotel but with limited places for clothing. A room for 2 has a wardrobe and one drawer. However half of the wardrobe is taken up with a handy fridge and safe so little room for a weeks worth of clothes. No bedside drawers or anywhere else to hang clothes so had to rely on cases. Bathroom was lovely and large. Only seen staff on check in but cleaner was very happy and accommodating. Cafe at front door was never in use which is months after COVID regulations have been lifted, the ‘children’ arcade was 4 machines and a football table, not much else. A machine to buy things didn’t work. Not a hotel you could relax in for the day but good as a base. BUT worst thing was the shock of urban fees. We are just about to check out and found that we have a lot of extra costs to pay that no one told us about. Not when we arrived, or by our travel supplier and now we are stuck with a large unexpected bill. It is a con and very sneaky. So beware when booking for very large costs approx $35 a day 😢 not good end to a holiday. We didn't sign for anything, no one sat down and explained the costs to us. When we questioned this the day before checking out as we double checked our bill before we left, we were rudely told we should have brought it up earlier (we had not idea it was there so why would we??) and when I asked what it was for, it was apparently for the gym (which we didn't use) and the childrens area which was very sparse. When I highlighted we didn't use these areas so why should we be charged extra and these are advertised as amenities of the hotel not additional areas no one could answer. The manager was no where to be found to discuss this. It is just an additional cost they add regardless and not willing to talk about. They agreed they made a mistake which we have written in an email and offered a refund and removed the charge. However a week later they changed their mind and when we arrived home they decided to charge 50% and said they hadn't done anything wrong and were just reducing the cost out of courtesy. I would recommend getting something that has no urban costs so you know what you are paying, you would cost less to travel into the centre each day and staying a little further away from the centre. Always ask about these additional costs.

Very nice hotel right in the heart of San Francisco. Literally a few steps away from the Powell Street BART station. Room was larger than we expected and very modern. Price in line with the area. We were very pleased with our experience.

This hotel provided us everything that we needed! It was in a good location and was secure from outside foot traffic since you needed your key card to access. The hotel and rooms were modern and looked really nice. I had read about the robot, but I guess it was broken because we weren't able to use it to bring up our deliveries. All of the front desk people that we encountered was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Was in San Fran for a week on vacation and stayed at the Axiom. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for two issues I had with the hotel. It is a nice hotel, cool vibe and the staff was very friendly. Brita water filter and ice machine was a great feature. Beds super comfortable and the towels, AMAZING! I had two issues with my stay here. First, there is no restaurant or coffee shop on site. They are both closed and they need to update their amenities section on all sites, NO RESTAURANT AND NO ROOM SERVICE. I travel a lot and typically stay at a place with a restaurant or some sort of food vendor for late nights when places are closed, or if I want to just relax and have a drink at the end of the night. Part of the reason I booked this place. Second, something had happened at the hotel and we had NO hot water for two days. No one from the hotel let anyone know. Had to find out by trying to take a shower and not getting any hot water. NOT FUN! No compensation, no apology for the inconvenience, or even a mention of it came from any of the employees that worked here. All in all I don't know if I would go back, but it didn't ruin my vacation.

This place was really nice and the staff was very polite. Rooms aren’t the biggest (as expected) but the bed was comfortable, bathrooms and showers were very spacious, and overall very quiet and clean. Also located in a very good spot to walk to any food/drinks you may need.

Great experience visiting with my wife! The Mono King room was plenty big for both of us, and the bathroom was really nice. Also, the front desk worker was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants. Finally, the location is really good! It's right next to BART and the street car that goes to the wharf. Overall, it was a great stay and was a good price compared to other hotels in the area.

I just checked in and this is definitely the worst hospitality you can find anywhere. Not a guy who ever complaint, so this is my first review for a hotel. The staff does not offer any help, we drive 14 hours from Vegas, arrive late. No valet, no staff to help with the baggage and everything. Nor do they seems to care. Reception was cold, it’s like you go to some restaurant that don’t even care you exist. The lobby and design was nice, the opposite of their treatment to a guess. I never experienced worst hospitality than this from 15 years of travelling. Even compared to a super cheap hotel! Do not trust the beautiful design and lobby. If you want welcoming ambience, this hotel is definitely the worst.

The room we had was very comfortable and absolutely beautiful. Housekeeping was very fast with their work and kept our room looking top notch. If I'm ever back in San Francisco, I'll make sure to stay here again

Super clean and well thought out Hotel. Great location. The game room/loft area was awesome! My favorite part? The towels! Extra large and soft bath towels were the icing on the cake. It's the little things, right? We will definitely return!

Small room, bar was closed but still paid a $30 amenities fee (I chose the hotel because it was pet friendly AND had a bar), pillows had hard balls of unfluffed/ruined material in them. This was not a 4 star hotel.

Great medium small hotel in the heart San Fruncisco. Pros: location, clean, friendly staff, common areas. Cons: location, loud music in the common areas - be advised if you plan to work in the common areas. Don’t expect breakfast, you ain’t getting none. Gym area is very nice: they even have a PELOTON! It’s like being in one of those Beverly Hills mansions you see on Bravo! We will most likely return: they also welcome bicycle clients.

Stayed at the axiom for 3 days 2 nights. Booking and check in was straight forward and easy. The room looked as advertised but it was a bit darker than I expected. The lights didn't really light up the room so it was a bit tricky to do makeup as there's not much natural light. There was one small window and it faced a brick wall so not much of a view, but it was relatively quiet which was nice. The queen bed was a bit smaller than the standard but still fit two people fine. It was nice and clean so no complaints there. There's a safe and mini fridge in the closet which was great. Iron board and blow dryer were also available. Reception is helpful as they provided an emergency sewing kit upon request. There's also a cool robot that delivers food to your door. On one of the floors there's a mini arcade which was pretty neat but didn't spend much time there due to covid. During my entire stay the cafe on the main floor was never open. Location is convenient as it was a quick walk to union square and the tram was literally right outside the door. Check out was easy and very accommodating with pushing back check out time. Only reason why I took off one star was because of how dark it was and it is on the pricier side - but great service otherwise!
