Food really good. Hostess/Waitstaff could use improvements. When we got to the location, the doors were locked. I pulled the door handles and the hostess stood there just looking at us. After she saw that we weren't going anywhere, she finally comes to the door to ask if we are looking for International Smoke and if we had reservations. This infuriated me. A place this nice should make you feel welcome and inviting as you're coming for the experience. As we finished our meal, the busboy comes to clean the table as we are still sitting there. He wipes the table down, and wipes the food into my partner's lap instead of catching it in his hand or pushing it on the floor to sweep up. It felt almost as if he was rushing us to leave by the way he was in such a hurry to clean and clear our table. Our waiter asked if we wanted additional drinks or dessert and we both said no. He leaves our table and address his other guests. We wait 20 minutes before my partner says, "Can we have the check please?" He responds with I thought you may want to order drinks or something else. We again tell him no and then wait for him to bring the check. When you are paying premium prices for a premium experience, you expect to get that and nothing less. Hopefully this was just a one off situation and the next time we choose to support, these issues will be corrected.

Worth Trying Interesting fusion ideas (Red Curry Corn Bread), quality cooking and a nice atmosphere. For corporate events, the food is served promptly, drinks are always on time and come quickly. Smoked Old fashioned is much much sweeter than average, so avoid if you prefer a more classic profile. Otherwise worth trying. The best thing that night was probably the salad and beef rib. Although everything was good, I'm not sure it would be worth coming here out of my own pocket.

Checked out international smoke recently for happy hour. Awesome food and drink specials. The service was really good and all the staff were friendly. The restaurant itself was pretty dead, which is sad since the aesthetics are so great inside. The food itself was meh. There was no smoke of any sort that could be found on the ribs. They tasted like they came right out the oven. The Mac and cheese and everything else were underwhelming. Looking at regular prices for dinner, I’m not sure I could see myself casually going back in.

Whoa! Love this place. We had a large group and they were very accommodating. We had plenty of space to remain distant from other dinners (Y’know. Coronavirus and all). They patiently validated our vaccination cards (we were grateful for that!) and then took us to our table, which was nicely set up for our large party. The food — bao, cornbread, mac and cheese, Chilean sea bass, fried rice, ribs, ribs, and ribs — the food, oh, my!! It was mouthwatering to the sight and delicious to the taste. We were all very happy with our food orders. The staff were amazing! They were all working hard to make sure we had a great time. Thank you to all who took care of us that evening. We appreciate each of you! Cheers!

International Smoke is obviously known for being Ayesha Curry’s restaurant but the food here also stands out. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re a local and haven’t tried it yet but not entirely a “must try”, the prices are pretty hefty too. That being said, we came as a large group here and availability was great, we got a table reserved the night before. The staff was attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the night. Food wise we tried almost everything from the corn bread to the bao buns to the wagyu burger and filet mignon. The filet mignon was cooked properly and juicy. It’s a decent serving though nothing too special from a normal steak restaurant. The sides all complemented the meal and the corn bread was unique for sure. Drinks wise both the manhattan and the old fashioned signature cocktails hit the spot. I’d recommend both to anyone looking for more spirit forward drinks. Nice place, convenient location and overall decent food.

Great place for going for dinner. That SALMON was fantastic, probably the best one I have had in a long time. What the call salad (4 leaves with sauce) is not worth it, and the dessert quite basic. But I don't mind, the salmon was just GREAT.

Aisha is never on site so the food coming out is not tasted before it goes out. If you go thinking they're going to live up to the Curry name and greatness where the foods concerned, please don't. Aisha is not Steph!!! We spent around 300 and something for three people. The food was bland at best. The production on some of it was okay but didn't make up for the taste. It was an experience just not a good one for how much was spent. But if you like good drinks their bar is excellent and the cornbread was superb. If you're thinking about visiting this establishment I would advise you be going for the bar and cornbread. Oh can't forget, the water was pretty good too. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

This is a good place but I spotted a rat and hence wouldn’t give it 5*s. I went on a Saturday evening for dinner with a few other friends. Initially it took them a very long time to get us seated although we had a reservation in place. After finally having found our seats we started ordering for the food. We went for their seasonal special pre-set menu and ordered drinks separately. The food was definitely really good and our server was also very friendly. We also spotted a mouse in the restaurant during our dinner, which obviously wasn’t expected given the reputation of the restaurant. We really freaked out at the sight but didn’t really make a huge deal about it. So be careful when you go.

Very nice place. Greeters we’re good. Got seated right away. All the food was delicious. The corn bread comes with a glaze/sauce over it. If you do not like sauces ask for it in the side. The wine and coffee were both really good. The reason I gave 4 stars was 5 out of the 6 received our food at the same time. I had to ask twice where my grandsons plate was. They also forgot to bring out one of the desserts. I will go back

The space is open, beautiful and comfortable. The service is excellent. The food is good. I definitely have some favorites. The cornbread is different and really tasty. The macaroni and cheese is great. The cheeseburger was magnificent and the cocktails are delicious.

Ken the Manager is FANTASTIC he made sure to take care of my mom and I the entire time we were there and made us feel really valued. The food is always good and the vibe is always right! Love coming here to enjoy some great food and company. My only tip would be to request to sit on the side where it is darker and more intimate. Last night we sat in the back where it is open and lighter and too me it took away from the ambiance setting that I go for when I come here. Oh and ORDER THE BRUSSELS you will not be disappointed

We came to celebrate my sisters birthday. The service was great. We had an issue with the salmon not being cooked all the way, however once we brought it to their attention they brought out a new one. Very friendly & welcoming atmosphere & the cornbread & brussel sprouts are everything. The Caribbean chicken is yummy too.

Great eats with wonderful interior design. Dark ambiance, with a bright bar with a few screens playing sports. Great for a date night or other intimate gatherings. The food did not disappoint either, impressed even. I had the pork bao buns as a starter and wanted to immediately order another plate. Came with 2. I then had the Red Snapper main dish, which was both decadent and delicious. The Duck French fries were a good side, not stand out but solid. Had two orders of the Old Fashion so you can tell I was a fan. Wide variety of options when it comes to drinks, from aged liquors and wines to cocktails.

The lobster mac was perfect. The lobster was perfectly cooked. The wagyu sirloin is too thick to be a New York strip. Ordered middle rare but the middle of it was rare. Pork ribs was not bad. Coconut soup was alright, tasted like Asian tom yum without spices.

What a fantastic meal that we had here! Everything that we tried was delicious. The service was great. The atrium is beautiful. I tried the ribs trio and I loved the Jamaican Jerk version. My husband had steak which was great and that came with nice grilled veggies. We had Jamaican Beef Patties to start which were delicious. We had the Pork Belly Fried Rice which was full of flavor and the grilled asparagus which was seasoned nicely. The Mac and Cheese was nice and cheesy. For dessert we tried the creme brulee which they make tableside with a hot iron. Our sugar didn't solidify because the iron wasn't hot enough. Without skipping a beat, or us needing to ask, the server instantly went back to blow torch it to make the crackly candy layer. And then surprised us by bringing out a smoke filled bonus dessert that turned out to be lava cake, to make up for it. That was really excellent customer service. I can't wait to come back and try the tasting menu which was a reasonable $85. My husband said that the red flamingo sangria was really good.

We had the coconut curry soup, cornbread, black truffle Caesar salad, oxtail, and Korean short rib. The short rib was perfection; the kind of plate that makes your partner's food not taste as good anymore 😋 😉. The star of the meal. In my opinion, the Caesar eats awkwardly; you literally slice a leaf at a time. It turns salad eating into an experience, but it isn't pleasant to me. It feels inauthentic and like too much work for a salad. The cornbread tasty sweet and spicy profile, and it's delicious both with and without the shellfish-flavored bisque on top. Our waiter forgot our drinks (espresso martini and daiquiri), which were only alright when we got them. In fact, the way he prioritized his clients was kind of weird the entire night. Others were served before us by more efficient waiters, and it seems he forgot us more than once. Other teammembers were more attentive, so their ability to pick up our waiter's slack helped smooth things out. Overall, I feel it's worth what we paid, and I'm glad I went.

My husband and I have dined at International Smoke on different occasions, each visit has been spectacular! We highly recommend IS for a night out and a delicious meal. The menu is on the smaller side, everything that we've tried (from steak to ribs to chicken) has been seasoned just right and smoked perfectly. They definitely focus on quality over quantity, well worth it!

Yo listen, I wanted to love this so badly…but it fell flat. Dope place overall. Meat was super dry and honestly not that good. The other dishes just left you wanting so much more in flavour. Cornbread on the other hand was 🔥.

International Smoke in San Francisco is a culinary experience that takes you on a delightful global journey. The Rib Trio at International Smoke is an absolute must-try. From the tangy and slightly spicy Korean BBQ rib to the smoky and savory American-style rib, the flavor profiles showcase a harmonious blend of international influences. I especially enjoyed the spicy Korean BBQ flavor. The Oxtail was incredibly tender and succulent, paired with a rich and hearty sauce, elevates the taste to new heights. The cocktails were also very good! I ordered the penicillin (cocktail with Scotch whisky, ginger, honey syrup, and fresh lemon juice) and highly recommend trying if you’re unsure what to order! To complete the dining experience, the Peking Smoked Pork Belly Bao Buns are a delightful choice. You can order it with a smoked-covered lid, the unveiling of these buns creates a moment of anticipation. The fragrant smoke infuses the tender pork belly, resulting in a harmonious fusion of flavors that is simply irresistible. The ambiance at International Smoke is sophisticated and inviting, providing the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable dining experience - it’s definitely a good place for work business dinners as well as fun gathering with friends!
