Such a charming theater! Super clean and their recent remodel looks fantastic. The seats are very comfortable. Not the gigantic recliners, but nice seats that can lean back a bit. There’s a really lovely bar area where you could enjoy a snack or beverage before the movie. They always have the best foreign and independent films that you can’t find anywhere else. “Drive My Car” was a wonderful film!!

I very much enjoyed how the movies here are curated. It's a nice mix of indie, artsy, and foreign film that the mainstream theatres don't show most of the time. I do wish the seats were more comfortable and that the screens were not at weird angles to the seats in the auditoriums. The staff is fairly indifferent to the moviegoers, but usually they spark up if you talk to them about film in general.

I don't live where I can easily get to a theater that does independent film so loved finding this place on my vacation to SF and it was up the street from where I stayed (Hayes Valley Inn) - old school theater vibe but staff was friendly and nice to have a chance to easily see an independent film in a theater. Normal film price is around $15 a ticket (what I paid) but hey, part of visiting SF - will come back here next time I stay in this area of SF - nice way to spend some time in the early afternoon :-)

My favorite place to watch movies on the big screen. It's always clean, the staff is friendly, the seats are assigned and they almost always have Q&As of the latest releases! Love Arclight Cinemas!

Cute intimate cinema. We were only 4 people during weekday screening.

My favorite theater in San Francisco. It's small and intimate and feels very much like I'm in my own living room, without the "factory" feel that 20-screen multiplexes have. They also don't assault you with 30 minutes of trailers before the feature begins, they may show two or three at the most. The staff is very friendly. I always look forward to seeing films here, I highly recommend it.

There are 4 small theaters (seating less than 15 ppl) that show interesting movies. Bar has a great selection, and staff is super nice.

Great team. They escorted an elder woman using a walker in a manner that respected her dignity. Cool or interesting people work here and films shown are good choices or not bland

Great seats and excellent quality video/audio make Arclight a great place to watch movies. They are located in a plaza with a wide selection of food, perfect for a dinner and movie date. Facilities are kept very clean and and staff is very nice. The popcorn and treats are very expensive (but that I applies to all movie theatres)

Fantastic movie house in our area! The movie was very impressive and the staff was very professional and friendly. There was also a very beautiful widescreen that has a very nice sound. I also love the classic films they showed on that day. I will definitely be back in here again and again!

Excellent selection of foreign films at a decent admission price. To put it kindly, the seats in the smaller theaters are well past their better days. Best to grab a seat cushion or two from the pile near the exit door in the lobby if your film choice lands you in one of these theaters.

The arclight theater provides the perfect cinematic experience. I appreciate that most of the people here are film fanatics who are serious about being respectful while the movie is playing.

The revamped theater is just great. Comfy cozy seats with plenty of room to stretch your legs and they will be opening a wine bar soon. Great place to see original off beat movies.

This mall never really clicked. It's basically dead. Oh well.

Fantastic place to see first-run films. The prices are great (especially if you buy a pack of discount passes), the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the newly upgraded sound system is absolutely amazing.

Haven't been here in over three years. It's been re-done and is much cleaner but I sorta miss the historical grunge and ambiance.......

This quiet gem runs all the good art house films and stuff you can't find anywhere else. Love it. Easy to get to by transit, too!

Nice two story townhomes and tall apartment buildings surround a lovely hot tub and swimming pool. Security staff at the reception desk are generally friendly.

Beautiful renovation maintains that cozy intimacy while making it actually physically cozy. For all your independent film watching pleasure, one need no longer suffer physically in order to enrich your eyes, ears, and mind.
