We felt a winter season like experience in the summer (went last weekend only). Wear proper trekking shoes as this is not like a flat beach. It has a long nice scenic trail. I loved the place. To India families, you will feel like you are in Masoorie :), not pasting the personal Pictures for the sake of privacy but it was an amazing experience to there and see the foggy weather even around 11am ๐Ÿ˜

Great little beach and good exercise getting back up to the car. Maybe not the best for sunbathing on a crowded weekend as not much room.

Amazing views on the top ! But down not as beautiful as the top, so I donโ€™t recommend to go down unless you have lots of energy!

Such an amazing place. This place gives a soothing and calming effect. It was not overcrowded when we visited this spot. There are all rocky cliffs on the beach. We took a 5 to 6 miles trail to reach this spot.

Very nice small rocky beach accessible from the Lands end trial. We went there to view The rock Labyrinth which never found it nonetheless this small beach was beautiful. Not crowded at all. Lots of stairs to get to beach so remember when you go down your must go back up. Nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge if itโ€™s a clear day. Canโ€™t wait to go back.

Great and wonderful vistas. You'll hike straight down. Lots of sand and rocks. And remnants of an old lighthouse.

Beautiful tucked away beach. The sounds of the waves against the small rocks make the most soothing noises. People like to stack small rocks in little formations. There are steep steps to get to it, but itโ€™s worth the trek if you are able. Donโ€™t miss the meditation labyrinth up the cliff to your right!

Hidden gem in San Francisco with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge & the mouth of the Golden Gate. Fairly steep 3/4 mile hike from behind the Legion of Honor Museum in Lincoln Park, or a longer hike from Eagleโ€™s Point or El Camino Del Mar parking lot to the West. The Labyrinth is just above.

A bit hidden, but perfect to enjoy the sunset while watching at the ocean, listening to the birds, the waves and enjoying the views of the golden gate bridge. The trail is a bit steep but short from the main path. The beach itself is not too big but usually not too many people are present.

Its a nice walk through the park then over to the trail that leads you down to the beach. Ir you're in San Francisco stop by and enjoy the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the cliffs. You'll be glad you did.

I have been going to mile rock beach for 10 years. It used to be so amazing with multi colored starfish. Sadly they don't come around anymore but the views are still stunning. Also I totally started the rock stacking there 10 years ago. Heh.

You'll have quite the hike getting here, but it's worth it. San Francisco offers beautiful beaches, but this one would have to be its most unique beach. Depending on how the rocks are placed and stacked (or how you stack the rocks yourself) it can offer an artsy feel. It can also offer a zen-like feel even with the wind. The rocks with the oft powerful waves can make for some beautiful photos.

It's pretty but not really worth the long walk. Save your energy for something else if you're visiting as a tourist.

  • 4/5 Albert W. 6 years ago on Google
Longer winding trail down to the beach, but you can see lots of stacked rocks on a fairly small, sandy spread.

Recently visited this place, unfortunately the weather was cloudy all day. But, still beautiful. You can see the view of Golden Gate Bridge and great spot for pictures. Hiking down was easy, itโ€™s little sandy so be careful. Enjoy the breeze, and try to build some rock towers it was fun.

We walked Lands End Trail from our hotel and we dropped by this beach. It has beautiful rock formations and view. It is a beautiful and peaceful area to relax, enjoy the view, and see the birds. It was amazing to see the labyrinth in this area.

Beautiful beach to relax and watch the waves. The current can be strong so don't go into the water.

Beautiful scenery...it is a long hike down to the beach but it is worth...it it's amazing and and great place for scenic pictures as well as portraits...But sitting and watching the waves splash is very good and relaxing as well....But while you run down the steps and paths to get down to the beach keep in mind your climb back up so plan to stay there a while.

We followed the Lands End Trail on the advices of a local golfer, and arrive right before sunset. It's hard to realize that the city is so close. This secluded place is incredibly beautiful. If you look back you will have a striking view on the Golden Gate bridge. ?

What a fun beach! After going on a hike in Land's End, we found this beach and the texture of the rocks with the powerful waves was really cool to see. A nice surprise for our hike. :)

There are 2 ways to get down to this small beach during the hike. We went to the labyrinth first then hiked down to this spot. The water was cold. The beach was covered in small round stones. It s nice cozy spot to just relax. It is not wheel chair friendly. You will see people getting their dogs to play in the beach.

We decided to include this beach on our jam-packed list of things to do as tourists on a two-day expedition in San Francisco. Even as long-time residents of a town almost completely surrounded by beautiful beaches, we loved visiting this beach. We accessed the trail next to the Legion of Honor. There was no one else walking on that part of the trail, so I get the feeling that most people walk the entire trail from the main trailhead much farther east. But as we didn't have a lot of time, it worked out better for our schedule to cut through via the paved trails on the golf course. The trail leads you down to a cove where you can either take trails up to the rock labyrinth on your right or traverse the rocks that lead farther down the beach on your left. We enjoyed traversing the rocks on the left to distance ourselves from others on the beach and simply sat on a couple of huge rocks to listen to the waves and watch the ocean as the fog rolled in. We were really energized by it. The walk back up the trail was strenuous at times but still quite lovely with the surrounding trees.

A small beach accessible from lands end trail. Need to climb down to get to this beach. There are several rocks in this beach area. Folks visiting enjoy climbing them. You can also view Golden Gate Bridge partially here. There is a small cave worthwhile checking it out. On high tide, water from the ocean gets in to the cave. Nice place to visit.

Short-medium hike through dirt trail. Lots of stairs if you decide to go all the way down to sea level. Splendid views. Not for swimming.

  • 5/5 Karl H. 4 years ago on Google
Steep hike down keeps this rocky beach a little less populated - feel the power of the pacific as it narrows to the golden gate. Great rocks at low tide.

An isolated rock at the bottom of a cliff. An embuttment. There is a labyrinth cut into one of the rocks. A platforms. It:s quite wild and windy. So, be careful. You might join some of the wrecks in the water beside you in the Golden Gate Channel.

A must go if you are in San Francisco... just a hop from the Labyrinth. This area is a must if you are visiting San Francisco, breath taking views and a zen like atmosphere. Do note that this is an open to the sea area, so bring a jacket or a wind-breaker.

  • 3/5 Mark P. 4 years ago on Google
Dont go here. Dangerous, and nothing but sand and ghosts.

  • 3/5 Jeremy Van G. 4 years ago on Google
The beach might have eroded and possibly a rock fall, the beach is a lot smaller than the last time. Maybe it was just high tide, but even standing in the water, the waves were crashing large rocks into our legs.
