I’ve never been treated this bad at a supposedly PC “hipster” establishment. It’s wretched enough to employ a rude, selfish, racist male bartender who only cares about himself. I shouldn’t have tipped but thought the tip was going to another bartender who opened my tab, and I had no problem with her, and she didn’t toss my card at me rudely like him. All I wanted was to close my tab and told him my last name and he said something like “multiple people are on my card and another person is checking out and it’s already closed out” so he couldn’t close my tab. I was on my own and to be frank didn’t completely understand what he told me (I thought someone took away the whole card container to close another person’s tab so my card was momentarily unavailable) and he didn’t provide further explanation when prompted by my “I don’t follow you.” As it turned out, he just assumed someone with a similar last name was sharing my card with me. I just waited, waited until he went through the card container and located mine, which was filed under my first name by the other bartender. He tossed it away at me as if he’s upset because of the “painful, timeconsuming (it took him less than five seconds)” work he had to go through. Beware of this guy if you happen to visit this disgusting Jim Crow-era throwback garbage bar. He even looks like a Burning Man leftover with a Capitol rioter vibe, lol. He was self-righteous, rude and unapologetic throughout, which was quite shocking. I didn’t call him out on it because I thought I might want to visit this bar again for some shows, but now I don’t. You racist scumbag, you know who you are. You’re a total disgrace to San Francisco.

I can't believe this was my first visit! Super fun little dive with fantastic bands. We made the trek from the north bay to check out Jonny Manak and The Depressives, Genuine Parts, and more. Frontside Five was so amazing we went to Oakland the next night to see them again. This place is small, but the sound is good. Drinks are solid, and a decent selection of beers on tap. We found parking just a short walk away, too.

Classic dive bar. Fun Simpsons trivia followed by a Reggae Dub set. Nice vibes.

Bar is fun, liked that they had local DJs playing music in addition to what looked like a live band who was about to play when I was there. My friends were ordering tequila shots and many said it was some of the best tequila they have ever had and it wasn't that expensive, I think it was $28 for 5 shots. People in my group were also ordering micheladas and were happy about them so solid bar all together.

This spot has local artist performances with cover charge. Cool spot with fun drinks, kind of divey in a purposeful way. Outdoor seating separate, if you want a quieter environment.

Was here for the Gabber Planet event and everything was great. Staff is super helpful and friendly, they got a nice selection of decent beers and other drinks while the prices are affordable as well. Glad I discovered this place.

Awesome dive bar! Great place to see a band. It's too small for big name bands, but there are a ton of amazing local bands that can really bring it!

Nice quaint dive bar if you’re in the mission district and you’re feeling thirsty there’s nothing quite as refreshing as a nice tequila shot and a Hamm’s (the beer refreshing). Those who may not know that is one of their mottos.

Classic dive with amazing DJ nights and great underground shows, extremely low prices on drinks and show covers. The caliber of DJs they get is incredible for such a small venue.

Loved it. Dirty shirley temple was a drink of the gods. DJs were incredible. Weird vibes from the men patrons but otherwise wonderful experience.

Fun funky bar that had a good dj spinning those tunes that make you start dancing under the disco ball after drinking HAMM Beers with shots of various goodies!

Fun Monday night karaoke, good deals on boilermakers but stay away from the "cocktails." They have a photo booth which is cash only.

Really fun chill bar with a small stage, cheap drinks and a slightly grungy atmosphere. Delicious burritos can be brought in from a few doors down.

Perfect old school funk vibe. DJs who know what their going with their viny collection and a dance floor that will take you back to the 80s even if you were born in the 90s.

Fun, active environment and wonderful staff make this neighborhood bar with a tiny stage into a happening kind of place. Don't let the painted floors and bathroom graffiti get to you. The club and its bathrooms are clean and well stocked. The music sounded great. Although they don't serve food, they allow you to bring food in from the neighboring restaurants. Just within the immediate vicinity of the Knockout, on the same block, I found Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Peruvian, Italian, El Salvadoran, pizza, American, Vietnamese and probably more that I didn't notice. The club has a dance floor and ample booth seating. I was there to hear a band but enjoyed every minute of my visit.

Watch pro-wrestling with #SFWWC at the Knockout! Every time there is pro-wrestling the place is packed. Great space for events!

Dive bar vibes. They seem to have some interesting stuff going on like screening of anime. The seating on the parklet was very uncomfortable. The benches were high and narrow. The drinks weren't particularly great either. They've got heat lamps, but they are placed quite away from all the seating and it feels like it's not getting used effectively. Friendly staff.

The crowd and the venue is fun here. The bartenders however, not so much. Don't bother tipping high early in the hopes of better service later.

Drinks were good. Small space for dancing and a pinball machine. Bartenders nice enough, seemed like a young/middle age crowd hangout.

A really fun spot that books great bands. The prices are typical for San Francisco. I saw some guys get busted drinking on the sidewalk out front and the door lady was very passive aggressive about the whole situation. I mean sure, they shouldn't have been drinking in the street but the attitude was a little over the top.
