An awesome themed bar / lounge that elevates the hang out experience. Prices are slightly on the expensive side but not outrageous considering SF standards and the lovely atmosphere. Decent beer selection, better cocktails and wine menu, and a rich selection of hard liquor. The food is okay... but obviously you aren't showing up here for the food. And for the love of god, please add french fries to your menu.

Absolutely one of the cutest bars I have been in since visiting! The books all look similar and as if they are much older. The vibe was great, the music was too loud so you could not hear the person you were with or if someone was trying to speak to you. The drinks that you can get in a pitcher are greatly good, the peach is excellent. There isn't good after a certain hour but they will bring a charcuterie board. The waitress was extremely nice as well and it made the experience even better.

Had an amzing time here. The drinks were delicious and the confit butter and bread are a must have. Definitely check out the swanky atmosphere. The books are real and you can read them too!

Fun environment with good seating / lounging, heads up there is fairly loud music. Good cocktails, with a wide selection of base spirits. They also have what looks like a decent amount of food options. Reasonable prices for SF. Service is quite slow - took over 15m to get a waiter both times I wanted to order a cocktail.

Went for late afternoon drinks. There was a decent amount of people. The charcuterie board was slightly overpriced for what they gave. The bathrooms were immaculate and clean.

Charming place; not too loud. Great place for a cocktail night. They have tasty cocktails but their menu lacks fresh vegetable-heavy cocktail options. Delicious fries!

One of my favorite bars. Been there million times but first time writing the review. What can I say, perfect place for date, team event or just to enjoy a drink.

A beautifully themed cocktail bar with tasty drinks and really friendly staff. Arrived at 5:30 on a Friday without reservations and staff were upfront but really nice letting my friend and I know they would need the table by 7. No problem at all. They were quick to take our order and checked on us several times despite the whole place buzzing with after-work groups. Look forward to coming back next time with reservations to relax and unwind more! The mango rum punch was heaven 😙🤌🏻

We went without reservation. Even that they had free tables they tell you “we are fully booked”. We stand by the bar. The place in beautiful and the environment is great. Nice “vibe” place set up as with books all around. We had some drinks they were really good!

Cool book themed bar in the heart of downtown San Francisco! Nice decor and chill vibes and lots of fun cocktails. Good place to wind down, grab a drink and have a good conversation.

Great service, cocktails and music. We arrived just before the kitchen closed but they made us a couple of yummy charcuterie boards. Our group had a fabulous time talking, dancing, and laughing all night. 💃🏽🥃

This restaurant/ bar is a great date spot, girls night, bday/anniversary bar. Recommend the specialty cocktails. Better than average in SF. Not as good as New York. The ambience is spot on. Love the vibe. Comfortable couches. The staff is excellent. Your water glass is always full. Which is impressive since we were in a party of 20 and the bar was full.

Great place for events and for date night! Ambient lighting and tasty cocktails. Can be a bit crowded during peak hours (10pm-close). I always suggest this place for those visiting out of town!

Staff is friendly. Vibe is great. Not super loud. I had the brussel sprouts and the James Gatsby (their twist on a Manhattan) . Both very good, the sprouts were a meal. I also splurged on a seasonal which was a rye drink called the James Trotter. Also very good (not pictured). I will definitely be back and bring my significant other!

This is a great place for hanging out with friends or taking a date. Very delicious cocktails, and the space is really cool and suave! The service was also good, but not the most friendly staff. A little pricey for sure, but that’s most places these days. Would definitely go again.

Great atmosphere, sat immediately, AMAZING server, wish I could remember her name!! Love good, personable service especially at a place like this. Amazing cocktails. Love trying new things.
