Food is great here. I got a scramble with tomatoes and my girlfriend had some eggs Benedict. Poached eggs broke perfectly and my tomatoes were fantastic. The best part were the garlic potatoes, but I found my plate a little too oily, but I drained them and has no issue. I love that this place is no tip. Pay and take care of your employees and I don't care if the menu price is a little higher.

I was in the mood for some rich French food. Most people seem to mention brunch, but I was drawn to the dinner selection. We were seated in their charming bistro-style dining room, which looked a lot like someone's cozy home. We started off with a dinner roll and butter. $35 Coq au vin - red wine braised chicken, carrots, mushrooms, bacon: Great! tender chicken thigh and leg with meat that practically fell off the bone sitting on top of carrots, sweet onions, mushrooms and braising liquid with the consistency of broth $38 Boeuf Bourguignon - braised beef, red wine, root vegetables, mashed Russet potatoes: Excellent! tender cubes of beef with carrots in thick braising liquid with a side of creamy mashed potatoes $12 Crumble aux Fruit - fruit Crumble with creme fraiche: Great! warm apple crumble with vanilla bean gelato and creme fraiche was better than I expected They also have a prix fixe 3 course dinner option, but the coq au vin and boeuf weren't part of it. I may want to try it with the burger next time. This year marks Zazie's 30th, hope they continue to inspire employee benefits in the restaurant industry!

This place is consistently amazing, from the food to the service. I can't get enough of this place, especially with the waiters being so helpful. Plus the no-tip system is extremely simple and enhances the overall experience. Easily one of the best brunch spots in town! I would recommend the French toast, but the entire menu is delicious. Bring your friends and family here for a great time.

Bustling brunch spot, but well worth the wait as there is no reservation. The egg benedicts were excellent, especially the smoked salmon one. Pleasantly, the potato and garlic on the side were very crunchy as well. On top of the food quality, I am a fan of their no tip policy — as they've included it in their menu prices . A very strong recommend if you are in the area.

First time here as recommended by my date who's a local. One thing anyone needs to know right away is the terrible parking in any direction. Not familiar with California made it difficult to find my way here but eventually parked several blocked away. The food was OK, nothing too special. Was prepared well and the mocha latte ended up being the favorite. But I'll admit, it was quite expensive forward brinch food which was a bit of a shock for two plates of French toast and two lattes. Thankfully, the service was great and quick. Overall not too bad, but I'll go elsewhere for brunch at half the cost.

We come here a few times a year, usually try to avoid the weekend brunch busy times as the wait can be 1-2 hours. We have had dinner here as well and the food quality is good but a bit pricey. Breakfast and brunch are more reasonably priced considering all the prices include tips as well. Today we had a midweek breakfast stop here and everything was very good. The staff are pleasant and service is quick. The pancake was exceptionally tasty!

Cute, simple brunch menu. Knows for their Benedict’s. Order a single, the classic double, or 3 whole Benedict’s! Mix n match is recommended. Great mimosa selection as well!

Have you been to Zazie? If not maybe it’s time to. Went for breakfast. Excellent food. We had La Mer Benedict which is eggs Benedict with crab. Yums! Then there was also eggs ben with bacon, Fontana cheese and avocado called the divorcée. 😂😂😂 And then there was also the egg nog latte. And don’t get me started on the pancakes. The gingerbread pancake with Bosc pear! Yums! Great service. Good food and no tipping policy since the owners have made sure their staff is well taken care of. I like this. Only snag was we sat at the back patio which was nice but it did have a whiff of wet kitchen as it was close to it. I would come again for sure. #maneklady #manekeats #manektravels

We went to Zazie for weekend brunch and there was a 40-60 min wait time. Service was good just a little slow.French toast was perfect as it was not too sweet. Mushroom eggs Benedict was flavorsome. The Mediterranean veggie platter was decent nothing special about it. Overall food and drinks were pretty good and impeccable service. We had a good time and loved that Zazie pays their employees a living wage, benefits and tips are not accepted.

Great brunch spot but probably not worth anything more than a half hour wait. Go in the morning right when it opens and you’ll get a spot right away. It’s a typical brunch menu- we had their fluffy and light pancakes and they’re also famous for their delicious eggs Benedict.

Overall the food and ambiance was good. Arriving 15-20 minutes prior to opening gives you the choice of seats is recommended. Had the homemade feel and was enjoyable. 3 stars because the food (egg scramble) came out cold. Crab Benedict was the winner of the day.

The veggie Brigitte sandwich was great in taste and looks both. It's a vegetarian friendly savory item on their menu. They don't charge tips either as their menu prices take care of fair wage for their employees. This was very refreshing to see in practice. Service was decent too. On the downside: the glasses for water were stinking bad. I couldn't drink water out of them.

Thank you for my great Breakfast today. The staff is attentive, the food delicious and it is a very nice and welcoming atmosphere here at Zazie’s. It is not just a typically restaurant, it is an extraordinary place to be and have a amazing meal. And CHAPEAU! I really like your TIP policy. Congratulations, hope others will follow your example and treat their staff that appreciative way you are doing so. 👍🙏

Wonderful time visiting Zazie, a French Bistro, amazing food and wine. We had the lamb shank and double pork chop, great portion sizes to fill the belly while we enjoyed excellent wine, followed by fantastic dessert. We had our pup with us, so pet friendly was a must, dined outside with a heater above that made it a cozy dinner on a cool Pacific Coast evening.

We got lucky finding this place as there are so many wonderful breakfast spots in San Francisco! We sat in the sweet back patio and had mango mimosas and their crab benedict. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious! I had the mushroom scrambled eggs and wife had the pancakes. We both loved our dishes and they were both very filling!

Good lil brunch spot, we waited about 45 mins for a table so make sure you check wait times before heading over! They don't sit incomplete parties, fyi The back patio is amazing for brunch Xo

Great place with amazing food! The waiting time was a bit long but it worths waiting. Perfect spot for brunch! I like their no tip service and benefits for employees.

Very delicious food. And nice stuff. Only the waiting time is a bit too long. Can take over an hour on a sunny day. But it is worth it. And great that tips are already included in the price. +REP

Highly recommend this quaint place. Found it online while visiting SanFran and loved it. The food was delicious, we ate a variety of the scrambled eggs, the eggs benedict and the caramelized french toast and oatmeal brulee. Waiter was super friendly and experience was overall pleasant.

I’m not sure what people were lining up for ( per the reviews) ??? I was in this area on a Friday morning, waiting for my besties who was at UCSF for an appointment. I was starving that morning so of course I googled where to eat near me. I glanced at all the great reviews and was convinced by the great looking pictures. So I went, was promptly seated and then I waited and waited and waited until someone finally came to greet . I saw they had French toast and I was sold when I read the description. I also ordered a side of soft bacon and potatoes! Now those potatoes where on point point! The bacon was burnt but soft ( figure that one out ) and the french toast was a mess. It was no where near what I expected it to be. It tasted like it was thrown together and slapped with a burnt soggy banana on top!! This place was not 5, 4 or 3 stars . I gave it a 2 star because I was seated quickly and the potatoes were killer good. Would I recommend this place, NOPE. But I won’t give up on being adventurous and trying new foods to eat in SF. Oh I forgot the orange juice wasn’t good either; how do you mess up orange juice?? How………….

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zazie, and I must say, it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was captivated by its charming ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. However, I must mention that the restroom at Zazie was quite small and could benefit from a renovation. While it didn't detract from the overall experience, a more spacious and updated facility would undoubtedly enhance the comfort of patrons. Now, let's talk about the highlight of my evening—the cocktails and the delightful menu. The Le Métro cocktail was an absolute standout, especially on a warm summer's night. Sipping on this refreshing concoction was like taking a journey through the streets of Paris. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced, creating a delightful and invigorating taste experience. Moving on to the culinary delights, the Figs Figaro was a flavorful dish that left me wanting more. The combination of fresh figs, artisanal cheese, and a drizzle of honey was a harmonious blend of sweet and savory. It was a true testament to Zazie's commitment to using quality ingredients that shine on the plate. Now, let me tell you about the Le Canard—the star of the evening. This exquisite dish showcased Zazie's culinary prowess at its finest. The succulent duck, cooked to perfection, was tender and flavorful. The accompanying sauces and sides elevated the dish to new heights, creating a symphony of taste that left a lasting impression. Throughout my dining experience, the attentive and knowledgeable staff at Zazie ensured that every detail was taken care of. From their warm greetings to their helpful recommendations, their professionalism was top-notch and added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In conclusion, despite the small restroom that could benefit from a renovation, Zazie provided a memorable dining experience that showcased their culinary expertise. The outstanding Le Métro cocktail and the flavorful Figs Figaro were definite highlights. However, it was the exquisite and tasty Le Canard that stole the show. Combined with the attentive service and charming ambiance, Zazie proved to be a destination where culinary delights and memorable experiences come together.

Zazie came to me highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The staff were catering for a whole wedding party out back but despite this I felt really well looked after and the food was boss. Surprisingly big portions but really packed full of flavour, top notch stuff!

Brunch at Zazie was an absolute delight! 🌞 From the mouthwatering food to the exceptional service, it was a 5/5 stars experience all the way. Zazie's brunch menu is filled with delicious classics that are simply scrumptious. The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The outdoor patio was also a great addition, adding to the overall ambiance. In conclusion, if you're looking for a fantastic brunch spot in San Francisco, Zazie is a must-visit! The quality of the food and service is top-notch, and you'll leave feeling happy and satisfied. Bon appétit! 🍴🥐 #ZazieBrunch #SanFranciscoBrunch

The wait is long. Food is good. Service is spectacular although it is a tip free restaurant. The only thing we didn’t like about the place were the cups they used for drinks. They’re basically large bowls and not cups/mugs. They also had several chipped off edges.

We are from Seattle, but discovered Zazie in 2018 when staying in the neighborhood for the weekend. Since that first experience, we have made time to have brunch here every time we come to San Francisco, regardless of where we are staying. We recently visited in February 2023, our first visit back since the COVID pandemic started, and we were so pleased to see that the restaurant has survived with consistent staples on their menu (our old favorites) and unique daily specials - plus the addition of the back garden patio is my new favorite place to enjoy brunch! The rotating selection of miracle pancakes are always a treat, but we were lucky to find the lemon ricotta on the menu at our last visit. It is a must-try, but get there early because they will sell out by the end of the shift! The variety of creative mimosa flavors also keeps me coming back to someday have tried each one. The owners and staff are always kind and they create a wonderful dining experience. It’s always great to see a small neighborhood business thriving and engaging with the community. We love the clear no-tipping business model, and knowing that the menu prices support fair wages and benefits for all staff members. We look forward to our next visit!

Came here for dinner with a friend. We got the prix-fixe menu, definitely the way to go! Generous portion sizes and tasty food. There were good vegetarian options as well. Tip is included in the price of the food as the restaurant pays its workers a living wage.

Excellent food, cool (french I spired) interior, and good service. It's a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Very popular with some good outdoor seating options. Because they were so busy, the service suffered a bit, but it certainly wasn't bad. The servers were kind and thoughtful. It is an exceptional restaurant, food and overall great experience! I would certainly come back here again!

This place is proud to say that they don't need the tips for server. It's very surprise for me but the price is pretty high if compare with other place(or they might included service fee already). Their pancake was great. It was smooth and moist.

We were in town just visiting and decided to go to Zazie for brunch - it was AMAZING! We got in and were immediately seated in the outdoor back patio (which is really cute). Our server was wonderful and gave some nice drink recommendations. We had the Le Metro and Magic Mimosa - both were *chefs kiss*. We both had the pancake flight (which also includes French toast) that portion was huge and the food, fabulous. Such great flavors and had lemon curd which was sooo good. The both of us were stuffed by the time we left. I would easily go back and highly recommend Zazie as a place to get some really great food and service! Oohh...I almost forgot the French hot chocolate served in a bowl - DELICIOUS!
