One of the best neighborhood bars in the Haight. There is always a handful of regulars present whenever I am in the area and decide to drop in for a cocktail and and a little conversation. Bartenders know there business and always pour a healthy serving. They have a pool table which is in remarkably good condition compared to most. The regulars never try to play "King of the Table" as is often the case at many other establishments. They have a nice back patio area for those looking to enjoy a smoke with their adult beverage.

Finally!!! A nice bar with a bar tender that is not arrogant, best service here. Relaxed people coming in, made us stay longer than intended 😅 Also! Beer is $4!

I definitely love that they have Guinness on tap ,plus the fact they have Sierra Nevada pale ale on tap as well love those beers.

Lively bar, stiff pours. Good bar seating and table options, lots of space inside. Tolerant of us playing War card game at the bar. A+ dive.

Loved this bar! The thing of asking you for a password/code to being able to enter is already authentic. The food is really good - do not expect your average bar food - and the cocktails are a bomb. If you're into tequila, I highly recommend the Hot Mamma cocktail. The service was terrific!!!!

Great little local bar. Friendly staff. They have a small patio as well. I like it at this place.

Best deal about this bar is you can bring your own pizza. Head over to Slice House a few doors down, grab some slices, then come here and eat it with some great beer. Love the $5 draft too!

Go here if you would like to be ignored. The bartender is SUPER RUDE. she only cared about serving the customers she knows. It took her 18 minutes to even acknowledge me. Terrible service. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

I have met the most amaaaaazing humans here! Staff are absolutely off the charts accommodating and I swear, I am not even that drunk. The patio is like 3 degrees of separation.

I always liken Gold Cane to Cheers. It’s without a doubt my favorite bar of all time, all of the regulars feel like family. The atmosphere is unmatched. Some of the nicest and most interesting people frequent this place. If you’re looking to have some great (and affordable) drinks in an even better atmosphere, while also speaking with some of the nicest folks you’ll ever meet, look no further than Gold Cane.

Good vibes, pool, cheap drinks, and a very mixed crowd. All the bartenders are fantastic so long as you behave (duh). Things can get loud and fun late at night.
