A small charming place. With very good Mexican food. Loved the elote it’s definitely worth a try if you haven’t. The chips are also very crispy with a fresh salsa and guac. The street tacos could be more flavourful for sure but are good 3/5. Tacos are also double wrapped with a corn tortilla. Very filling and lovely staff.

I came here to try the fish tacos Nick's way and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. This place has one of the best red salsa's I have ever tried in my whole life experience on this planet. It's pretty Damm delicious. The taco has a crunchy shell and then an outer tortilla that ads 2 whole dimensions of flavorful to that grilled fish and with that salsa it felt like a Mexican beach party in my mouth. Amazing great fish tacos. Even more amazingly delicious salsa. 10 out of 10 recommend for seafood tacos.

The food was good and the drinks were great. Service was really bad. Our server took our order and disappeared. Servers would walk by and wouldn't even ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Not sure I would go back

We enjoyed the San Diego 🌯. For a good time you can buy burritos to go and enjoy Golden Gate Park.

Service is great , foods came out pretty fast . We ordered different types of tacos, burritos which were pretty good . The only issue was the drink . We ordered few magaritas and it was mostly ice which I felt like it was waste of money .

This is my second time here with colleagues. As before, this place did not disappoint. Food was excellent, tasty and good portion. The service staff are all friendly and very attentive. Will definitely return!

7/13/2021. Updated review. Beer and tacos here are still delicious! Original review: Patio dining 4/11/2021. I was really sad when their Irving St. location closed. We used to go there all the time for beers and tacos. They are a San Francisco Sunset district institution in my book. I'm really happy they are still in business. Tonight I had their shrimp, Baja style fish and grill fish tacos, Nick's way. That first bite, it brought back so many memories of dining with friends in the 2000's. Everything is fresh and the recipes did not change. The tacos and service remain excellent. Great job everyone at Underdogs! I rarely cross over to this side of inner Sunset, but I'll do it for Underdogs.

Tacos and margarita for dinner! Sat at the bar - bartender is a cool guy. Tacos are a good size. Get the "Nick's way" - a crispy tortilla wrapped with a soft tortilla and melted cheese in between! Will have to come back for happy hour!

Both the food and service was amazing. The tacos are bomb and definitely would recommend the pick any three taco deal. We went around the early evening time so it wasn’t too crowded and was seated immediately. The food came fast, almost no buffer between the appetizers and entree. The nachos also got a bit soggy near the bottom so we didn’t get to finish all of it. All in all, no complaints here and would visit again if back in town.

The service was excellent. My server was attentive, polite, and anticipated anything I needed before having to ask. Can't remember the last time I had restaurant service this great. Only ordered the Buffalo Wings and an ice tea. The Wings were incredibly bland, really lacking flavor, especially the Buffalo sauce. Buffalo Wings should have a little bit of that sharp, spicy bite to the taste. These Wings had none of that. Based on the Buffalo Wings I would not go back here. Also this place is a bit pricey for what you get. Wings, ice tea, tax and tip was $26 total. Pretty expensive for an appetizer and a non-alcoholic drink. I do not recommend Underdog Tres

Underdog Tres’ service is fantastic! Dropped by for a quick lunch! Food is really good but I think I’ve frequented too many establishments that are more cost effective. After taxes and tip, lunch came to about $60. A bit much for taco lunch. The servers are super friendly and the tacos nice and packed with good stuff (meat, pico de gallo, guac). The app of guac and veggies is a little uneven and we had a lot of veggie leftover so we had a weird leftover of veggies. And of course I had to have elote where cheese was all over my face! If you don’t mind paying more for tacos then I say it’s worth it. Stop by and have a meal to support them!

Breakfast burritos here are fire. (If you have any doubt look at all the times I’ve gotten it in the photos attached.) Would do 5 stars if I was only rating the breakfast burritos. Everything else is just ok. Also please note that the breakfast burritos are weekends only until 3 PM.

Dropped by after a long tiring day of exploring Golden Gate Park and was blown away with the delicious foods and excellent service. Asked for outdoor seating and once she saw we had our pup with us the hostess was able to rearrange things so that we could dine on the patio without having to wait. Our server also brought out a personalized water bowl just for her! We got chorizos nachos to share, carne asada quesadilla and carnitas & al pastor street nachos. Great flavors, vibes and the red garlic salsa was amazing!

pretty good lunch destination with well priced food. not the best in the city but in a good location and still decent. the roja salsa is amazing! elote: really good, wish it had more of a kick but amazing nicks way carne asada taco: pretty flavorful but tbh the crispy shell combo was ok for me.

I was able to get seated here without a reservation. This means you all don't know about the Mexican chocolate mousse, because if you did this place would be booked out months in advance. I'm here to tell you about it. It's really quite nice.

Had to come to the city for an unfortunate health reason regarding my beautiful wife. Realizing I hadn't eaten for 24 hours (due to stress) I stumbled across this classy joint. Immediately upon walking in I was welcomed with open arms by the awesome staff and my bartender Josh was top notch. If you like good food, sports and a chill kick backed atmosphere then I would highly recommend this place. 👌

Not bad! Biggest thing that could be improved was the burrito itself (more butter / better ingredients?). But I think this is alright Mexican given the neighborhood. They have a patio in the back which is nice.

Quick and efficient and lots to do while you wait in the surrounding area. Salsa spilled in one of the to go boxes and the worker caught it and cleaned it up promptly. Super friendly staff and highly recommend.
