ahhh. the spur. the hole in wall dive bar that sells highlife bottles and had convienient escape to parking lot in back with sheltered parking and non descript entry for those shameful nights or early morning court violating bouts of alchoholic overindulgence... wait that was literary nonsense. in reality its an awesome dive bar in the sunset that catered to much of my sfstate and post state years and introduced me to many many many interesting people and allowed me to smoke in bars until the authorities shut it down and killed my youthful enjoyment of freedom haha. thanks to the bartender for understanding and staying open tll 4am catering our smoking in bar while drink habit a little while more. you wont be named till time runs i promise. =) and 10 stars for you cause saved us from cold desolation and other possible degeneracy!

This place sucks. Don't leave anything unattended here. Don't charge your phone and look away. The fat bartender lady and the short bald guy, Brian, WILL steal your stuff if you leave it and go out to smoke. The entire bar is on METH. Why do you think they need a specific sign on the bathroom reminding people that "only one person is allowed in the bathroom at a time" ??? Bartender fat lady said my friend could charge her phone, gave her a charger to borrow & plugged it in behind the bar. We left it on the bar by our drinks. We went outside for 5min, come back, phone is gone. 2 other people in the bar besides bartender. Said "I didn't see anything" and acting shifty, not talking to us anymore. Before that, bartender was happy and actively chatting with us. Everyone's eyes in the bar were red and glossy, everyone else acting twitchy. Beware.

Best bar in the Sunset. Cheap drinks, great folks on both sides of the bar.

Got harassed in this bar by a guy who was way over served. He was wasted. If he is a regular, I will never go in this bar ever again. I would rather buy beer at a corner store and drink it on the street than face being trapped next to a wasted harassing man while trying to finish my beer.

A total tiny dive.... but great music playing (wide variety juke box style).1 pool table. And a amazing g bartender! No creepy dudes and just a good place to have a drink watch a game or fight ... best cocktail pricing I have seen in San Fran. ($6 lemon drop) or a club Not fancy. But if u want a drink with no BS.... 100% great!

Small dive bar that has a pool table. Not a flashy place, but if you want to get a quick drink and play po, then it's a good place to go. If you're looking for a place for date night, then I wouldn't recommend it as a date spot. The bartenders that night were helpful & lively.

GREAT neighborhood dive bar! Love it! Best drink prices in the neighborhood! Great bartenders, good, friendly crowd. One of the few "6am to 2am" bars left in The City!

Sunset and Richmond are nothing if not a sea of solid Asian food, young families seeking housing price respite, and a mix of 3 star Irish pubs and dive bars. Silver Spur works hard for that fourth star. Decent prices, friendly clientele, and a vibe of "we're divey... But we're your divey" leave you with a faint smile on your face as you finish the PBR and walk out the door, knowing you probably won't be back. But maybe...

Either an FML type dive or a fun place to meet friends for a drink. No in between. A souped up version of Hockey Haven on Balboa. Solid service; love this place!

A Very Welcoming Neighborhood Bar. Get food nearby and bring it in. Lots of Football , the one you play with yer feet. As well drink specials. Great parking behind the bar with entrance as well.
