Super friendly service with decent food. The flavor is sweeter than usual vietnamese places but the portion sizes are amazing. The best part are the eggrolls here which uses rice paper to wrap instead of the hard dumpling wraps. I enjoyed it a lot and the chicken is also delicious. Papaya salad has a bunch of protein on top as well but the marinade is a little sweet for me.

My friend and I ordered the brisket pho and veggie combo beef broth pho, which were both delicious. The dishes came promptly—they have sizeable portions, with reasonable prices. Besides the food, the restaurant interior is small and simple but clean. Service was also very warm and friendly.

Had pho (ordered a #6) for the first time here on Dec 18th: I really like the flavor and texture of the broth. Meatballs had some small clumps of fat in them that I had to remove out, but it wasn't too big of a deal.

I accidentally visited the restaurant and ordered the imperial rollls and five spice chicken vermicelli. Their garlic noddle is the best!

SO fresh and delicious. Casual but you do get a waiter (who was so great—intuitive, kind, magically there whenever you needed him). People popped in from the street to have a quick meal, a lot of solo individuals too. Great area with lots of restaurants, shops, and good coffee. Cheap! About $12-14 for entrees. Highly recommend imperial rolls. Amazingly good.

I got the 5 spice chicken garlic noodles. The chicken itself was cooked pretty well although the flavor of the skin kinda overpowered the flavor of the actual chicken. The garlic noodles and the sauce were exquisite though -- I couldn't get enough.

Excellent Vietnamese food! We love the chicken or beef with garlic noodles and imperial roll combo. Large portions and prompt no nonsense service.

Not the cheapest but definitely one of the best Pho restaurants in California. Let me tell you why: 1. The rare beef is so fresh 2. The beef brisket is tender than the one in any other Pho restaurants. 3. The basil and bean sprout are also very fresh 4. You can always pay credit card. They don’t have minimal amount requirement for using credit card. 5. Service is better than most of Pho restaurants Highly recommend Pho #1

I like simple and tasty. We enjoyed our time and food. For me, the selling point was fresh chamomile tea. When we are in the area, I will try their other dishes.

Literally traveled back to San Francisco so that I could eat these delicious garlic noodles ONE-MORE-TIME. I love that despite all these years they've always stayed consistent.

This place was a surprise delight! The food was delicious. The five spice chicken is cooked to perfection. The garlic noodles were the right about of garlicky which is a lot. The pho is such a large portion it can feed 2 hungry people easily. I would go back to his place over and over.

Service is always great here with the staff always being friendly and quick. Got the five spiced chicken vermicelli bowl since I tried the garlic noodles the other time. Huge fan of both, still need to need come back and try the pho!

Quick service; tasteful food, ample quantity - but quite buttery. We had garlic noodles, for which we had to take leftovers home and the oil/butter would smell a bit, not the best to consume, so we had to let go. Imperial rolls were yummy, but again, a bit too greasy. Meat/chicken was fresh, but noodles - not so recommended.

Fantastic no frills Vietnamese restaurant! The food was great. I highly recommend this place for a quick & delicious meal!

Tonight, I had the five spice chicken garlic noodles w/imperial rolls. The little chicken breast had good flavor and came with a small side of fish sauce. The garlic noodles could have used more fresh garlic to give it some burn. I would recommend not sitting too close to the cashier's table. Throughout my meal, the brother and sister team behind the cashier was arguing in Mandarin Chinese in their outdoor voice on how much sleep they didn't get the night before and how much their parents didn't like them. All I heard was a heated exchange with laser tag accents, a few decibels under full blown yelling for about 1/2 hour. Kinda annoying. That's sorta expected for a family owned restaurant I guess?

The place is small, but the foods are good. The serving is pretty big. Price range from $11.00 and up. The garlic noodle kind of dry and hard, but the taste is good.

Very very little vegetarian options and that was probably the most disgusting bowl I have ever had. They can’t accommodate regular dishes with vegetarian imperial rolls for instance. Depressing indoor seating. I stopped eating not because I was full but because it was simply not good. Everybody hated it, not just me.

Everything was amazing. The papaya salad is a must! It is so refreshing and has the most distinctive flavor that coats your pallet with joy 😊. I have never had brisket pho and I don't think that I'll have chicken pho ever again while I'm in SF. The broth is exquisite and the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth. The garlic noodles with pork and spring rolls were phenomenal. The servings are very big for your money's worth. And last but not least the thai tea was perfection. Love when I find small little gem 💎 this is a gem. Don't hesitate to stop by Perilla.

Delicious, felt, looked and tasted authentic Vietnamese food. We had charbroiled beef with steamed rice and it was so good. Their prices are good and super reasonable, highly recommend
