We
were
visiting
San
Francisco
for
the
first
time,
and
this
place
was
near
where
we
were
staying.
We
had
previously
been
downtown
in
Little
Italy,
but
due
to
not
finding
parking
we
decided
to
head
back
down
to
the
area
to
get
dinner
instead.
What
a
fortunate
turn
of
events
for
us.
We
were
all
craving
some
homemade,
simple,
REALLY
good
Italian
food.
Two
of
us
are
vegetarian,
so
it
was
a
pleasant
surprise
to
see
so
many
options
on
their
menu.
One
of
us
ordered
the
meat
lasagna,
and
they
give
you
a
huge
slab
of
it.
It
was
perfect
according
to
the
one
who
ate
it.
Exactly
what
he'd
been
craving
all
day!
Another
of
us
ordered
the
eggplant
sandwich.
According
to
her,
it
was
also
excellent!
I
ordered
the
eggplant
parmesan,
which
came
with
penne
pasta
with
marinara
sauce,
and
steamed
veggies.
The
portion
of
eggplant
was
generous,
cheesy,
tomato-y,
and
all
around
delicious.
I
easily
could
have
had
leftovers,
but
I
opted
to
eat
the
whole
thing
because...who
wants
to
deal
with
leftovers
on
vacation?
Also,
they
serve
you
fresh
sourdough
Italian
bread.
We
did
order
some
garlic
bread
with
pesto,
which
was
already
amazing
in
itself.
But
the
bread
that
they
do
give
you
is
that
kind
of
special
bread
that
is
perfectly
toasty,
and
they
give
you
that
really
good
cold
butter
in
gold
wrapping.
If
I
had
any
criticism,
I
wish
there
were
more
restaurants
like
this
back
home
in
my
town!
Thank
you
for
the
experience,
we
look
forward
to
visiting
again
in
the
future!
