This place is so adorable. I didn’t think it would look like the way it did when looking from the outside. I loved that the played classical music. The food was fresh and delicious. This place only accepts cash though but you can pay with Venmo and they have an ATM machine inside.

Stopped by Garden House Cafe to grab a coffee while we were just walking around town. We waited about ~15 mins to place our order as the place was a bit busy and it looks like the staff was short handed with only one person making all the food and drinks, shout-out to them! (which for us was okay, we were not in a rush and sometimes things just happen that’s out of your control). The iced coffee was really good and really refreshing! The interior seemed very cozy, very comfortable, a place you drop by to read/study and have a coffee or a snack. Definitely recommend visiting!

There’s this naturally lit area with a lot of plants behind, it’s a nice place to spend the afternoon, the lady at the counter was very kind. Might not be the fanciest place you’ll see in SF but the place has a lot of character.

An incredibly wonderful cafe with so much character and an incredible selection of books at your disposal. The owner is so sweet and lovely to interact with. Speak to her if you can! A great place to work, relax, or wind down and find something interesting to read. She prefers cash but will accept Venmo as well, just give her a little extra tip to cover the fee. Love this place!

Very cute cafe on a slow street in a nicer SF neighborhood. Lovely for a quick coffee and snack. There are a few small tables with chairs outside and a good amount of seating inside as well as on the back patio. They only take cash (or payment via Venmo) but they have an ATM inside so not at all a huge issue. We will definitely be back

Wow the house sandwich is so delicious. Cute cafe and nice backyard patio to eat in. Baked goods are delicious. Everything about this place is fantastic! Lots of books inside to read, a piano, batteries to charge your stuff.

Great service, very nice staff, and delicious fresh made food and bread😋! I would recommend the Thai tea! A real hole in the wall find.

This place is a lovely hole in the wall. The owner is incredibly nice, and their food is very good. They have a great backyard patio that’s an oasis in the city. Its not too expensive either; I spent 3.75 on a bagel with cream cheese and a couple dollars on a Latte. They only take cash, venmo, and zelle.

Quaint, funky, small, intimate. Lots of art, great breakfast. Not fancy but great!

Lovely stop for quick and delish roast beef sandwich (with melted cheese, real lettuce leaves and freshly sliced tomatoes - yum!) and a relaxing few minutes playing the vintage piano. Owner was lovely, sandwich was on a tasty French bread - many books, plants - felt like you were popping by a favorite aunt’s house for a snack & visit.

My favorite place. I wish they were close to where I live, which is about 10 blocks away from me. The lady who works there is such a nice lady. Coffee is always hot and fresh. They have enough nice area for sitting and relaxing both front and back. Lovely place.

Loved our food and the garden is super cute. I paid cash and tipped into the jar just to realize that I wasn’t given the full change and the counter lady put $4 from my change into the jar without telling me. I wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t communicated

Delicious food and great service! We got a large BLT and it was plenty to split after a walk on the beach. The pastries we ordered were also delicious. Really fun vibes - someone was playing the piano while we visited!

Lovely little cafe near some good walking trails. Cash/Venmo only. Has plenty of seating, either out front, out back, or anywhere inside. Cafe mocha was fine, but the sub sandwich and the cookie I got were stellar.

We had a Pastrami sandwich and a Napoli sandwich. And sat in the back little garden very quaint and quiet.

Charming family-run cafe with a lovely patio, warm services and great values. Highly recommended! (Please note: cash only) I ended up in the area after a run and came to Garden House because of the good reviews it receives. I was not a bit disappointed. The food has big portions at very reasonable prices. There are lots of sandwiches and pastry items to choose from. My sandwich tastes good and definitely satisfied my big and hungry appetite. The chocolate muffin costs only $2.5 but is so big that I can only eat half of it. The cafe is pretty quaint. There are old books, posters and furnitures in the dining area, as well as a cute, half shaded patio in the back with plenty of tables. The lady owner of the cafe is such a warm, funny person and gives you the vibe of a nice neighbor. She has been running the cafe for 20+ years and I definitely see why locals would support her business. I for sure would love to come back too.
