When in San Francisco, It's probably hard for some to believe that (considering all the fine restaurants available) if you're at Fisherman's Wharf you would eat at a Hard Rock Cafe. But, that is exactly what my wife and I did during lunch on one of the days we were visiting. The purpose of eating there, was that we wanted to see the memorabilia of bands specifically associated with the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area. And, we weren't disappointed. The food was awesome. I chose to have the nacho plate off the appetizer menu, and my wife had a bacon cheeseburger. Take the time to walk around and look at the memorabilia like we did. It was a busy lunchtime, but I can report that the restrooms were pretty tidy, considering the amount of traffic through the place!

This is a classic Hard rock café that is known internationally and it's well known for the exhibits and displays on the walls with the original pieces of the artist and authors. This restaurant bar is more like a museum than a restaurant. The food is more like a bar with a couple of hamburguers, sandwiches and salad options. I ordered the steak salad and the food was better than I expected. The pieces of steak were big and right the cook style I ordered. The salad was a mix of different things and the dressing was not overwhelmed. My party ordered also different things and except for the cesar salad the others didn't complain from the food. (I'd said that Cesar salad is always a basic plate) The environment was as expected, the hard rock music from the 80's and 90s and the videos on the screens make you enjoy every single song. The service was helpful and they assisted us with every question. The only problem is that they were short of personal that day and it was slow I would recommend this place for any traveler that wants to enjoy classic hard rock music and have a drink. Have a bite if you are really hungry but I'd suggest to go to other place for food

This is so not my scene but Hard Rock always come up with the good. A extensive food and drinks menu means there is something for everyone. I had the bruschetta but the bread was quite dry and hard. And that’s the only downside of the whole evening. My partners pork sliders were amazing and a great portion size. The Margherita and Blackberry Sangria were soooo good. Disabled access is good. Dietaries catered for. Best of all, the staff were fabulous and nothing was too much problem.

Ok food, pricey. Cool environment with groovy music. A destination for sure. We had Nachos and a side of fries. Good portion for a quick dinner out.

I went to SF on a vacation trip with my wife and another couple of friends. We have been in another’s HR cafe before … what i like about this one is the location … pier 39 is a very nice place to visit if you go to SF. The food was good … we ordered ribs ( baby back ribs) and burgers ( the big cheeseburger). As all HR café they have a shop. We had fun …. The music is very cool.

Great service, great food! Loved the bbq ribs, they gave me a huge portion of ribs and their taste was great! I wanted to sit outside and I saw that there was a bit of mess with the number of the tables, but the good thing was that my waitresses was very clever and she found out a resourceful way to solve it.

When we visit a city that has a Hard Rock Cafe that we haven’t visited before, we always make a point to swing by and have some food and get a pin. The San Francisco Hard Rock is at the entrance of the iconic Pier 39 and is an older hard rock with an open floor plan that was renovated to the newer style with less memorabilia (boo!). The memorabilia they had was well themed to San Francisco which was nice to see. Food when we visited was the still very limited Covid menu - I’m starting to wonder if things like the local legendary burgers will ever return. The burgers and salads were all solid options and service was OK. What brought this location above average was the service in the rock shop - really above and beyond to be helpful, tell us the story of the pins and show a passion for the brand!

Cool vibes with Matching decor and seating setup. Souvenir shop. Great location. Street parking or pay garage parking nearby. Lots to do and see in the area. Service was lovely. Food was delicious. Timing spent for first time experience was decent. Atmosphere is Vegas like without the casino.

The place is nice and that's it. I thought I came to Hard Pop Cafe because only pop music was played by a DJ in the place, it's quite disappointing to come to a place dedicated to rock music and not hear a single rock-related song. The food was fine but the veggie fajita dish was too full for the plate it was served in, so I had to eat in a very rude and dirty way. The nachos were delicious and so was the cocktail (Hurricane). Good service.

Very mediocre experience. Waiters were nice but retail manager Beverly was not very accommodating. We waited over an hour for our food when we had placed pre-orders to avoid waiting. We traveled over 8 hours to eat here. She was not willing to do anything to make this experience right. Very disappointing.

We visited this week on a weekend for lunch. Very busy place expect a 20-30min wait time. Or try to reserve a table in advance. Our waitress was so great and very helpful in suggesting the food. We ordered wings, drinks, flat bread and a chicken burger everything tasted delicious. They gave us one wrong order and corrected immediately later complimented with free fries. Overall excellent experience I highly recommend it if you are visiting pier 39.

Food was great! But they don't tell ya ahead of time that they tack on 20% to every check. So for that they got 2 stars. Food was 4 stars for me. Also, they do ask for vaccination cards. So come prepared.

Went for late lunch and drinks with family. I was craving for hard rock for so long and finally made it happen. Lucky day no wait times. We ordered 1. Loaded nachos with chicken. Really delicious and had this amazing pinto beans dressing on the top. 2. South west flat bread was just the best. It was gone from the table in no time. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the restaurant service was bit slow even though it wasn’t busy.

I'm a Hard Rock fan. But foods not the same. San Diego and City Walk were better but there closed now.. Haven't tried the one in Hollywood.. Memorbla is Great but the need an up grade on food. Hope this one in San Francisco doesn't shut down. I ❤️ Hard Rocks. Keep them alive.

The food was very good. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The French Fries were good. The facility and memorabilia are cool look at. The Metallica and Primus memorabilia were my favorite though there are many nice items to review. The location is convenient when staying in the area.

Food was delicious! Host was very helpful and courteous! My server on the other hand did not want to give me my free appetizer as a welcoming rewards member! She was also hesitant to give me my free dessert! She had no idea how to redeem my points or award my $100 bill! I had to ask the host to award my points. The server lied to me and said they were already awarded! She didn't even ask for my membership # Take in mind that the gratitude is automatically added to the bill and if it was for me she did not earn the 13 dollars!

I’ve been to many Hard Rock Cafe’s and we usually try to visit one whenever we travel, this has got to be the worst one. My children enjoyed their hot dog but my wife and I ordered a Salad and a Burger which did not taste very nice. I also ordered Stella Artois on draft which was also not very good. Maybe it’s just a San Francisco thing, we didn’t really like the city.

We (7 of us total) stopped by here for lunch on Wed (4/5) after our ride on the Blue & Gold Fleet. Seating was immediate. Wasn’t super crowded. The restaurant is clean and welcoming just like other Hard Rock Cafe’s we’ve been to. It’s entertaining and fun. Service was good. Our food came hot straight from the kitchen. All came out really well and tasted really good. Everyone enjoyed their meal which was great. Would definitely return if in the area again. Highly recommend if you’re at PIER 39 and looking for a good lunch. Restaurant 5/5. Service 5/5. Food 5/5. Food presentation 5/5. Value/Price ratio 5/5.

Yummy food, good service, great location! Went there with a huge group, including young kids and we all were happy with this place. They have kids food options which is a bonus for families!

Yummy food, large and well satisfying portions, great burgers and super-amazing nachos. Great cocktails, great music, nice relaxing environment. Very good quality price ratio. We felt service was hurried up from 1 hr before closure on a night with not many clients. Nice Hard Rock Café shop too, also this closes sooner than the restaurant.

I've always liked to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in every city around the world that has them. This one was pretty nice too. It's a good atmosphere, especially if you sit at the bar. Other than that, it's the same food and rocking experience you'd expect from the world famous Hard Rock!

Went for a quick lunch. Decided to go for “one night in Bangkok spicy shrimp”. It was a starter but me and my love for shrimp decided to have it as a main. When the very friendly server brought it I thought that the quantity too much for me but I loved it and managed to finish off the last morsel. And then decided to have a cheesecake with a Diet Coke, an odd combo 🤔I know . Cheese cake was ok. Anyways a good experience . Will visit again whenever I am in the area Crispy shrimp, tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce, topped with scallions, served on a bed of coleslaw.

This place has a very cool vibe, burgers and fries are amazing. The staff's friendliness and engagement is excellent. I have been here 3 times in the past 2 months, and loved each time. The only thing I was not very impressed with was when I tried Messi burger(no offense to Messi, he's goat), but the burger was not so good. My recommendation would be BBQ bacon cheeseburger, fries, onion rings and few Long Island Ice Teas 😜

The servers had some mishaps but not enough to ruin the experience. The flatbread pizza was really good and the chicken burger wasn’t bad either. Not the most authentic SF wharf-area restaurant but still good if you want a quick bite.

Wanted a soda water. Waiter 1 (dreadlocks) said: We don’t have a machine for this anymore, you need to take a San Pellegrino bottle. As the drinks took very long, I asked another waiter if I could get my soda water. He brought me a soda water from the machine (as I wanted it). When waiter 1 came back, I said: So you do have soda water? He said: Oh, well that’s garbage, it’s not good. I’ll bring you a bottle. I tried it, and it was perfect. Small cider is 9 Dollar. Food is OK but there are so many better options in San Francisco. I really don’t get who goes here, probably only tourists

Great food and atmosphere. There was a bit of a wait to get our food out to us and they even forgot to add our side dish, we had to order it again and by the time it came out we were done eating. It was a bit loud in there because of the music and customers.

Love this Hard Rock Cafe the most. Services, food and drinks are great, staffs in the restaurant are so welcoming, friendly and great team players. Enjoyed my Birthday celebration there. Rock shop cashier is prompt and polite too. I would definitely come back again.

This Hard Rock is located on Pier 39, and simply by its location you can expect it to be crowded, with lots of people walking in an out just out of curiosity. That’s why I was extremely disappointed with the reception we got. They were rude, and seemed to be tired of dealing with people. They also stood at the entrance of the cafe guarding to make sure no one went in that wasn’t a paying customer. This is not HRC hospitality at all. The food was pretty good, and service was alright. But the reception just turned you off!

Great quality food. However, one of the waiters had his black receipt book near his butt and had Low hanging pants which are unbecoming of an establishment.
