Sometimes it's just nice to go and sit in a park and have some nice eucalyptus trees around ( the smell does relax me.)-- and not have to go all the way to Golden Gate Park.. but unlike Golden gate park- you can't not be visible to everyone .. (I'm talking about the couple near me and my friend, who were getting, let's say-- "hot and heavy" in view of everyone walking by.. y'all know who you are and ya need Jesus - not the religious Jesus, the other one!!!).. and it was nice being there because it was one of our hotter days here in SF!!!

Really nice walking/cycling/running path. There are always plenty of people out and about. The path connects directly to closed JFK avenue which makes a really nice long running path. There is a playground and restroom in the middle as well. There are also basketball courts hand many benches so that you can sit down and rest.

I was hoping to go to Golden Gate Park, but it was exactly three miles from the hotel, so the panhandle was all I got to see. It was pretty cool. Big ol trees, a million joggers, bicycles that do not g.a.f. A great walk.

Best place to walk around, not have to worry about cars, be in a green and welcoming excitement, with attractions and faculties filled throughout. But that concrete patch west of Masonic is my new pickle ball court… don’t challenge me… πŸ“

It's an eclectic mix of people with the standards of any open air day use park, dog runs, trees with shade, bike lanes, walking lanes, jogging lanes, children's playground, exercise yard, basketball court, public restroom, areas to fly a kite, safe zone for all. The homeless are not as bad or unfriendly as portrayed.

Best for walking/biking around the path along the north side and along with the Fell and Oak Street Bikeways. Surrounded by residential area, mostly victorian houses and the famous painted ladies. It is a tourist spot so parking is very limited, almost impossible to find available parking spot Also, San Francisco are known for the steepest hills so if you're going around with bike make sure it's an e-bike. 3 stars because of difficult parking. We didn't even got the chance to get down the car, aside from limited parking, road is super steep and crowded with tourists. Even on weekdays it is still crowded. Best time to go is when everyone is still sleeping πŸ˜…

Being born and raised in the Haight Ashbury and fortunate enough to have my children experience it led us to panhandle park during the recent Haight Ashbury fair.. So many memories and it's been upgraded .. GO SEE

Loved it, there was so much life. People walking their dogs, riding bikes, running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ congregating. The atmosphere was inviting.

Best park in the area for kids playground and equipment. Public bathrooms are open reasonable hours, and are conveniently located to the kids area. We've also hosted family birthday parties and other gatherings here, and have always had a positive experience.

The Panhandle Park is a gorgeous park stretched out long over a few blocks and is quite big. Had a nice walk over here, admiring the beautiness of the unique trees over here. Lots of cyclists, runners and also groups playing a certain sport in the park. Nice to see!

Nice park to chill with friends and listen to The Haighters when they play on Saturdays. Good place for people watching but there's busy streets on both sides

Excellent for all the little ones! Beautiful neighborhood as well. Tall trees for shade. And a nice picnic.

Beautiful part of golden gate park. The most eastern edge that starts off only a block wide and several blocks lengthwise. Great place for walking, jogging and even setting up a blanket and reading a book (can be a bit noisy due to all the traffic that wraps around) and safe considering it's fairly transparent and you can see from one side of the park to the other.

Peaceful park with plenty of space. Many people were out relaxing on the lawn, playing sports and hanging out with their dogs. Could be cleaner but good park overall.

A great park for any outdoor activities that also leads to the Golden Great Park.

So much fun to walk or jog. Close to Haight Ashbury. Play park first kids, basketball courts, and bicycle a trail.
