Perfect place for a sunrise! Came to the area on a short holiday and thought about watching the sunrise. Turns out not only the view out onto the bay is gorgeous but the city skyline is too.

On weekdays you will see a lot of asian people fishing there in the morning and they will not leave the spot for you . Fishing rods are everywhere to ruin your pictures and views and i saw those people couple of time urinating in the ocean and then holding the fish with the same hand . Good luck eating in china town folks.

Nice quiet place to get away from the crowds with some nice views of the bay bridge. You can watch the ferry's go in and out. No shops or anything here, just a nice place to stare at the bay.

Quiet great views reduced noise. BUT for the night owls be aware that this pier is semi private and the long pier closes at 10pm till morning about 7am or so. Enjoy it from the area near the Starbucks and you should be good. P.S. NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS ON SITE. Nearest for sure is at FERRY Bld. Nxt might be in public walk areas on other side of Horn Blowers restaurant & boarding ramp.

Often a great opportunity for a photo-op in diverse weather conditions, day or night. There is usually ships and boats to act as subjects.

The Pier's location right on the waterfront provides unparalleled views of the bay and the stunning San Francisco skyline. The bustling Marketplace was a delightful surprise, offering a wide selection of local products and delicious treats. Pier 1 is a vibrant destination that offers a perfect blend of entertainment, art, and stunning views. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a lively and culturally rich experience in San Francisco!
