I
have
been
in
healthcare
for
a
long
while
now
and
in
working
in
community-based
health
care
in
the
Bay
Area
you
become
familiar
with
the
different
offices
and
how
they
operate.
I
have
been
empathetic
to
some
of
my
patients
when
they
tell
me
that
they
do
not
get
the
services
that
they
need
in
a
timely
manner
at
this
office.
But
now
it
is
personal
my
mom
ended
up
being
a
patient
of
this
office
when
she
fell
on
hard
times
and
she
told
me
she
was
now
a
patient
of
this
office
and
I
cringed
and
for
good
reason.
This
place
is
a
Medical-Cal
(Medicaid)
hub
for
mental
health.
Unfortunately,
this
is
most
of
the
time
the
only
option
where
low-income
people
with
state
coverage
can
get
in
to
receive
mental
health
serices.
But
at
the
same
token,
this
place
is
a
pill
hub
they
sedate
there
patient
until
there
next
visit.
Then
the
sedation
just
carries
on.
My
mother
has
been
on
more
pills
that
did
nothing
for
her
other
than
make
her
so
out
of
it
that
she
became
a
danger
to
herself.
I
have
had
to
take
her
health
care
into
my
hands
and
force
them
to
change
her
meds.
Force
them
to
stop
certain
meds,
and
yet
again
I
am
having
another
adverse
reaction
with
another
med
and
no
one
can
return
my
call
until
Tuesday
next
week
(mind
you
today
is
06/14/2018)
or
I
can
take
off
or
work
from
my
own
clinic
and
do
a
walk
in
and
wait
for
hours
as
if
I
were
at
Highland.
There
no
triage
nurse,
no
mid
levels,
and
no
Doc
of
the
day
on
staff
to
help
when
we
are
having
a
real
problem
that
does
not
warrant
an
ER
visit.
Thank
you
for
being
such
an
awesome
place
to
help
the
community
that
needs
mental
health
services
them
most
