We pretty much do this every time we come down to Pier 39. It's one of my favorite things to do in the city. Since they change it up every so often, it's like a new experience. They usually have two different games going. The last time we went we did the zombie and it was pretty cool. This time we did the robot alien thingies. It was Cool. It's 12 bucks per person. And it last like 5 minutes. It won't break the bank, and it won't eat up your day. It's a fun little treat. Kids and adults will both enjoy it. They take you into the first room where you watch this very short video. Safety stuff. You're basically waiting for the last show to get out. Then you go into the room with the seats. There's two rows. The seats move, and you get a pair of 3D glasses. There's a gun attached to your chair and you shoot at whatever game you're playing. Like the zombies you'll shoot zombies. The robot one we shot the robots. And you're competing against all the other people in the room doing the 7D experience. It keep score and they take photos of you. You can purchase your photos with your score. I don't usually buy these. But this last time I had first place and the guy said it's well above average, Haha,

If you’ve ridden Fly over America or any other virtual ride that was amazing, this ride does not even come close. 20 mins of poor screen resolution, odd story following a seagull, and only wind and slight movements from the seat. The icing on the cake were the useless employees who weren’t organized and too worried about personal conversations.

I visited The Flyer yesterday not knowing truly what to expect. This could very easily have been a short & sweet ride and still be an "acceptable" Pier 39 attraction, however this was SO MUCH better than that! At no point did it feel "rushed" or lacking content. The experience started with a very cool/cute video experience in a dark room across a few 3D screens, very similar to experiences you'll find on Universal or Disney rides. The videos told a story setting up the experience (though I won't give any spoilers here). The story continues with the ride itself. All of the video from start to finish showed stunning aspects of the city (and is a great way to decide where in San Francisco to visit during your trip!!). It really does showcase what a beautiful city it is! Once the floor drops from beneath your feet, and the ride begins, its a very immersive experience as you fly across the bay and around the city with the wind in your hair. I will absolutely be returning when my family visits SF later this year!!

Don't freak out when the floor drops or when the wall in front of you disappears... And don't freak out when you're nose diving on the screen. It's not real! Lmfao It was awesome. You couldn't get any closer to the real thing. It was an awesome unplanned adventure. I highly recommend it. Oh, and they have [free] lockers for your stuff while you're on the ride.

Lots of fun!! Went on a weekday in August We waited over an hour, but they gave us a specific scheduled time so we could leave and hang around the pier which we did. The staff were all very friendly and helpful

Frank was Awesome! We did the Golden Gate Speakeasy and won with 4 minutes to spare! Frank was great and really helped make this a great experience for our family. If you are in the area we recommend seeing Frank. You will have a Great Time! THANK YOU FRANK! WE LOVED THE 7D EXPERIENCE TOO.

The ride was fun and the motion felt realistic. It gave me a rush, even though I knew it wasn't real. There were some scary moments in the ride. The price seemed reasonable and there were free lockers. It's definitely not geographically accurate, but it's fun.

The screen has a dark line down the middle. You notice it as soon as you put on your 7D glasses. I did mention this to the guy running the place at the time. He knows about it but I don't think it's getting fixed any time soon. I will not be going back until this is fixed. It takes away from the experience and makes it really hard to see & shoot at the targets on the screen. It's too bad because this is a nice thing to do with the kids at pier 39. Please fix the screen!

Had a great experience at 3D, what stood out to me was the great customer service, that myself and my children received from the staff. One staff member stood out from the rest, her name was Tanisha and the reason she stood out the most was her high energy and motivation for fun. My children enjoy the ride and the fun energy that came from the staff... Will definitely be going back and definitely would 😁 recommend everyone to try it out 😉.

If by 7D you mean a 2D movie, then I say it's false advertising. This wasn't even mentioned until we were buckled into our seats. Total BS. Basically they will take your money without any concern for their own faults. We did this today, to those looking at recent reviews. We couldn't stop at that point though. Our kid would have been so upset. We did the zombie road something movie. It's basically an arcade shooting game. The seats rattle a little. The guns do not shoot straight, which is super annoying. The screen is blurry. There are better video games out there. But, the kid had plenty of fun. We also did the flyer ride. It's no Disney World Soar experience that's for sure. The seats move a little and it kind of works. The kid loved it. But the screen was super blurry. These guys need to focus or replace the projector, it is in very poor condition. Skip this. But, if your kid sees it and wants to do it, and you don't mind spending money for them to have fun, then it'll be ok.

Fun experience. Two of us went midday Friday and we were able to walk in and get on to the ride within minutes. The video they play during the ride was creative. We enjoyed the soundtrack and feeling of cool air in our face. Definitely recommend this during your stay in SF. It’s on Pier 39, upstairs to the right.

Ask for Eduard and Maria if you come here. They were amazing, very good at explaining everything. Really recommend talking to them

It was fun, but I wish it was longer. That's how you know when something is fun. But, literally this was a 10 minute experience - instructions, glasses, sit down, shoot zombies (or something else) while getting shaken by chair, done! It is also located at Pier 31, which is a carnival in itself. This is going to be short and sweet, like the experience.

Had a great time here... my wife and I did the zombie experience and it was crazy!! A lot of jump scares and intense 7D interactions but overall it was fun looking forward to trying the others

I want to commend the staff at the Flyer Thrill Zone for the extra care they took with getting my mother-in-law to and from her seat. She is in a wheel chair (able to transfer herself to the chair), and they took us in a separate way and stayed until she was fully seated. At the end of the ride, they came back to assist us. We all enjoyed the ride very much--a charming story and wonderful way to show our Brazilian exchange student an overview of the city and the bay.

It’s on Pier 39. We visited on a weekday. we were able to walk in and get on to the ride without waiting. We had doubts about taking my 3-year-old but staff disabled motion for her seat. We all had so much fun

This is awesome, next time I come here I’m going to do the speak easy escape room. The workers were nice. They Lured us in because their sign was inside and since it was so bright outside we had to look inside to look at the sign it’s actually kind of smart. We did have to go across the pier to go to another part of was all good. My favorite part was the escape room and taking mug shot photos.

The guy working in the afternoon Monday June 20’ 2022 at around 3-5:30pm is super rude. I think he hates his job. I was asking about the 7D experience and he just totally ignored me and didn’t even bother answering my question. Like, who do you think you are? I was asking about the 7D experience because I don’t have any clue what is it all about. You can be nice and say “I don’t know”, it would have been better. But instead, you just look the other way and don’t respond as if I don’t exist?? Wow! Is that how you treat your customers? You are very very rude, arrogant and disrespectful to customers. Actually, you are the worst person I have ever met working in customer service. If you hate your job, don’t get this job. I would have really wanted to try this experience but this guy is sooo rude, arrogant and disrespectful— I totally lost interest. I will probably come back another time if he’s not the one in charge on front. Very rude and conceited kind of person.

The manager Frank was such a great host! So attentive and ready to help us with whatever we needed. We'd definitely recommend The Flyer Zone to others!

I have experienced several of these and this one is definitely the roughest ride of them all. The video part was good. I would recommend they put some armrest or something for you to hold onto on the chair.

The Flyer over SF is horrible, not even 10% of the city. Besides the quality is horrible. Just get dizzy. The 7D ride was better and actually had fun.

A roller-coaster like experience of flying over the Bay area. Highly recommend. We bought tickets in advance and there was nearly no wait when we got there, just a few minutes for the earlier ride to finish.
