Will be greatly missed! Saw Transformers:Rise of the Beasts on Thursday the day before the last day. Dropped everything to see a movie there the second I saw they were closing and so glad I did. This is a tragedy they are closing because this was truly a great theater! Hope another theater replaces it! I saw so many movies at this theater when I lived downtown and could walk here! Great memories!

Incredibly clean movie theatres. I saw Thor Love & Thunder this morning at 10am. If you're watching a 10am movie, you can get to the theatre on the Bloomingdale side of the mall (Mission St.). One of the four Bloomingdales doors are open which lead to the elevators on the right so you dont have to wait until 10am when the mall opens. Everyone working here were very friendly and helpful. The XD theatre was very spacious and comfy, couches reclined and made it worth it. I'll definitely be back!

Small movie theaters with reclining seats. Some of the seats don't work but there's ample legroom. Very easy to find your row because there are big giant letters on the carpeted stairway instead of little stickers like you might find at another movie theater. Food is expensive as expected (it's a movie theater). It's split into two sides which can be a little confusing but the staff are helpful and will get you on your way. The restrooms are nice and clean and there are also water fountains.

It's a fine movie theater, kept reasonably clean with a friendly enough staff. It just suffers from having an awful parking situation in the vicinity. I only go there for special showings and after 6 pm when parking is free and available on the street at most two blocks away.

Having a Java Chip Frappucino, since I have time to kill while waiting for my Charlie’s Angels movie at 7:25 PM. The staff are friendly and helpful. The theaters have reserved seating available. There’s a bar menu for those who are 21 and over. Aside from the usual movie food like Popcorn and Nachos, you can get Pizza Hut Pizzas and even an 8” Chocolate Chip Cookie that’s cut into pizza-like slices for sharing (or not 😁). TIP: If you’re a movie lover, consider joining the Cinemark Movie Club. For $9.99 a month, you get one Movie Credit each month that you can use towards a movie ticket. The great thing is that the Movie Credit rolls over if you’re not able to use it, so you can save to use credits for a movie night with friends at a later date. Your Movie Club membership also includes a discount at the concession stand/cafe. My Grande Java Chip Frappuccino was $4 (normally, it’s $5). 👍

The theater's main room has excellent sound. Vaccination cards are required to purchase and consume food during your visit, not just the visit in general. They have discounted prices on certain days which are very well considering the locaton at the Westfield Mall. Staff were extremely polite and very helpful!

One of my favorite theaters in San Francisco is Century XD Cinema. It’s apart of the Westfield Mall and has extremely comfortable seats, friendly staff, and a unique concession area that sells drinks, milkshakes, popcorn, and all types of snacks. The theater is clean and has about 12 screens, showing all of the new movies.

The theater was good in general, the seats were comfortable and the screen was visible even from front rows. The ticketing system seems to be a bit old though, like taken from 80s, but it works. Also the soda sizes are smaller than what I experienced in American movie theaters, I think they are the same size as most European places. Sound and temperature was good during the movie, no complaints on this side.

I witnessed a despicable display at this theater. On June 29, 2022, I was in the concession stand trying to get a drink when a female employee was refilling her Starbucks cup with one of the fountain drinks. To me, that’s a bit unprofessional. I proceed to purchase my drink and continued to watch a movie. Once my movie finished, I came out to the lobby and saw that a manager was “attending” to a customer in a wheelchair by making negative remarks about them being in a wheelchair and was pulled back to prevent her from getting physical. I can only assume that they were a manager as she wasn’t in uniform and was assisted by other managers, who were wearing casual clothes. I believe that that was not a way that anyone should be talking to a guest. I mean, ableist comments!? In 2022? The management is crazy.

Went to see the a movie at their XD theatre and it was absolutely FILTHY. Who knows how often they clean this place. Ugh. Also, my recliner was BROKEN and so was the one next to me. Several seats were not reclining in my row at least, and it seems the management of this location couldn’t care less about cleanliness or upkeep. So sad to see. If they are trying to send people across the street to the AMC theater, great job! Won’t be returning.

The seat I reserved would not recline, but since it was a pretty much empty theater, I was able to choose another seat. Movie was fun, and I'll be back in a few hours for Scream VI

It's a pretty basic movie theatre, besides the chairs. The chairs are very comfortable and recline with a foot rest. The staff are really friendly and nice to speak with. The people around kind of suck but that's just San Francisco. The mall it is in is pretty cool but pretty complicated so be careful when taking escalators. Not many notable things in general besides the chairs.

Avoid the place by any means.Awful experience, the place wasn’t even cleaned before the screening. There were open cans, leftover food from the previous screenings. Recliners we’re not working.Unhygienic and disgusting.

they forgot to turn on the movie and we had to go find the technician. There was an almost half an hour delay in the movie start. Seats were comfortable

Great reclining seats, bargain Tuesdays, 8.75 early matinee daily, and nice food court on the lower level including Panda Express, Shake Shack, Popeyes and more.

Very comfortable seating, easy to access. I’ve never really had a bad experience here. They do have a bar not sure if it’s currently open. It’s nice to have a decent place close by.

The seats are great. But: I paid almost 20 Dollars and had to watch exact 30 (!) minutes advertising and numberless trailers before the movie started. Very annoying. Furthermore, the screen has a broken spot.

Very comfortable and well spaced seating. Sound system was good. Very basic on their food offerings but if you want popcorn and a soda they have it.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Most theatres have AC very low making it uncomfortable inside this theatre doesn't have AC overwhelmingly cold. XD is a great experience seats recline and clean and well maintained.

Great place to watch movies. The seats are reclining so you can relax while watching your movie. There's fresh popcorn 🍿 and drinks available also .

The theater was clean and nice and the seats reclined. For a Friday night night it was not very busy. Few people working behind the counters. What did suck was none of the beers on tab were working. I'm not sure I've been to this theater before especially with the metreon next door..

they do discounts on tuesdays so i only paid 12 dollars for 2 tickets it was great!!! the seats are comfortable and reclining. it was a bit confusing to find since the mall was closed at the time

  • 2/5 James B. 2 years ago on Google
Updating from my original 5 star down to two stars. Limited/old food options, no seating when they won't let you into the theater. It's not as popular a place as the metreon across the street, and it's showing why. Very disappointing.

I seriously love this place! Great theaters, they have a bar, separate eating space outside the theaters, an arcade, what more could you ask for. And if you are a member, 20% food purchases. Also before covid they had $5 Tuesdays! Honestly, you can't beat it, never!
