Before trying HIT Fit SF I had never tried this style of workout before. My experience here blew away my expectations. I specifically tried their boxing bootcamp and it was a great mix of a killer workout and learning the basics of boxing. There were plenty of beginners like myself and people who have been doing bootcamps for years. The gym owner and boxing instructor, Simon, is not only a great instructor but a pleasure to be around. He knew everyone's name in the bootcamp by the end of the first day and you can tell he cares about his classes. It's a commitment to sign up for the bootcamps but if you put the effort in it's absolutely worth it!

Hit Fit is a top notch boxing gym. Great instructors, classes and facilities. I’ve been coming pre and post pandemic and the gym does a great job of ensuring a safe/clean environment.

2 stars for a 5 star place. Their hours of operation are terrible. That's the only hurdle and it's an easy fix. Cleanest fight gym I have ever walked into. Instruction is excellent. Membership options are straight forward, take it or leave it. These guys and girls are the real deal. Being new to San Francisco and needing a workout, I walked in and standing in front me was my previous trainer from NYC. He was there working with members. This guys a world champion fighter and a world champion communicator. Think about that. I can't fathom being a world champion anything, but that's the caliber of instruction and training here. No longer a cliché: If you want to be in the best shape of your life and be able to defend yourself to the point where any perceived danger seems laughable then HIT FIT SF is your place. Like I said before, these guys and girls are the real deal and they are empathetic to their members fitness levels and needs.

I’ve been doing HIIT workouts for over a decade in various program.ls. This gym has terrific set of trainers who really pushes you hard for a full body workout Simon , the owner, is incredibly passionate and runs a tight ship. When he is short on trainers he runs the class.

After leaving the class I looked online and was shocked to see that so many people reviewed that this was such a clean place because I felt the exact opposite. I don’t mean to be dramatic but I’m going to schedule a Covid test this week. (In the response he says “we” clean it each time - no WE (the customers) are expected to clean everything while the staff chats at the front desk). And no towels or sanitizer was anywhere except one bottle at the front desk. The front desk staff was wonderful but the female instructor was so dismissive. She spoke so fast, did a horrible job explaining each move and proper form, and just generally had a ridiculous air about her. Also for a small gym there were quite a few people in the class and they we’re holding some personal boxing instruction right behind me so I couldn’t really comfortably do each move. Just waaaay too many people during a time other gyms are being extra careful about this. A guy boxing was the only person who didn’t have a mask and was spitting everywhere. The front desk staff member was so quick and understandable when I asked her if she felt comfortable asking him to put on a mask cause it’s one thing to take it off and another to take it off and spit everywhere. Not their problem but still. I won’t come back and it doesn’t feel like there is any love lost.

This gym was the best experience I’ve had with a boxing gym, due primarily to coach Troy. Troy took me from a casual boxing fan to a real boxing fan. His teaching style is very effective and engaging. Great balance of boxing and fitness. I think i signed up for a membership after one class. I have and would recommend his class to anyone considering taking up boxing or looking to hone in their current abilities. The gym itself is also set up really nicely, and the front desk staff was always helpful and friendly.

Love coming to this gym! - Great high intensity interval training (HIIT) & boxing classes! - The trainers are excellent and passionate about their classes. Many different teaching styles for you to choose from. - The workouts are dynamic, never get boring, and will give you a full body workout. - The gym is clean with towel service. I highly recommend it, the owner Simon and his team of trainers are awesome people!

I can’t express how much I love this gym! It’s clean, friendly people all around and world class trainers. They really push you to do your best and help you achieve your fitness goals. Each instructor adds their spin to the class which gives you a great variety. Adolfo is a great boxing instructor and really focuses on the fundamentals of boxing and coordination which enhances your workout over all. Highly recommended and bring friends!

Summary: Been going here for about a year now. Great gym that is clean, spacious and run by kind, helpful staff. Leo Larsen is one of the best instructors I've come across! Try a class, you won't regret it! -------------------------------------------------------------- This review is long overdue! I've been going to Hit Fit SF on Sutter for about a year now. I've done both boxing and HIIT classes but I primarily go to their boxing classes. Simon, who runs the gym, is funny, kind and very helpful on top of being a great instructor! The gym itself is very clean, well maintained and run by a kind staff and a great group of instructors. Overall, I don't see myself stopping from going here anytime soon! One person I specifically want to shout out is Leo Larsen who I think is one of the best instructors I've come across! Not only is he an excellent boxer, he also has the rare ability to break his knowledge down into easily consumable pieces. He is very perceptive and can really understand where you are in your learning curve and can nudge you with just the right information so you learn and grow over time! Simply put, he's an extremely effective instructor and his classes cater to everyone from those starting off, to those looking to learn the mechanics of boxing to those simply looking for a fun workout! I can't recommend Hit Fit SF and Leo enough! If you're still caught in two minds, try a class to find out for yourself!

The first time I walked into this gym, it was a great experience. The girl behind the counter was very nice. The gym looked awesome. Plenty of mirrors to see yourself work. Plenty of punching bags. The one thing I noticed is that is was very clean! If you want to train with a personal trainer for a variety of martial arts or if you want to take a class that will teach you the correct technique for boxing. Ask for Leo Larsen. One of the best trainers in the gym!! He is nice and very professional and will listen to your needs.

I've been coming here for a few years now. The classes are difficult but the trainers do a great job catering to a range of skill levels and still making the classes fun. I joined because I wanted to start boxing and the classes here have been incredible. Leo Larsen's classes are my favorite because they deliberately build the core foundational skills compared to other gyms where they just exhaust you hitting a bag. Would recommend for anybody interested getting a workout thats more fun than just going to 24hr fitness or looking to start boxing.

😐 My first visit in an American Bouldering Gym and a rather disappointing one. Not sure about the 4.8 Stars. I think the gym invests more time in the wrong places. The showers, restrooms and changing areas are great, there is even Shampoo in the showers. One negative thing is, that you can't usw the l...

😠 Sharing as a PSA for anyone considering joining this Planet Fitness location. While at the gym, the lock on my locker was cut and my belongings were stolen. Within 30 minutes, someone tried to charge thousands of dollars on my stolen credit card. I know that theft can happen, but there was no respon...

👍👍 Love this gym! It’s clean, big locker rooms, lots of space on the workout floor and a pool. The pool is a little shallow but it’s on the second floor, so, can’t complain too much.

😠 Although the equipment in this gym allows you to "get the job done" and they do validated garage parking for $6, these are the ONLY positives I can highlight about this location.
