Love this new location of P4L! Super convenient for me to workout and shower before work in Fidi. A few things make a gym some place you actually look forward to visiting. The people, the program, and the space make P4L a really great gym experience. The staff, coaches here all build a great, positive vibe. They are approachable, knowledgeable, encouraging and nice. I love that the coaches and trainers really take ownership in making sure things are the best they can (equipment, experience, etc.). The owners, coaches and staff I've never even formally met knew my name when I am in the gym and were eager to make sure I was having a good experience. They ask for feedback (formal and informal) consistently. Love this gym space itself -- beautiful and clean. Gotta love that exposed brick! The equipment is all new and beautiful. The team is so good about cleaning and wiping things down (nothing sucks more than getting on a mat that reeks of everyone else's sweat). I do 1:1 with Randy and he is awesome! Squat PR's and a 5-minute PR on my last half marathon while training with him. He is thoughtful about the exercises I do, tailored to my needs as a runner, and my particular weaknesses in mobility and imbalances. I love that he's a runner himself and totally "gets it". We get more in to every hour session than I'd ever be able to do on my own. I'm left sweaty and tired, but feeling great.

P4L is amazing! I have enjoyed working with Randy one on one to focus on my running strength for the last few months. I recently started going to the FiDi location and the gym is great. It is a brand new gym space, so the equipment is top of the line and there is ample space! I am an avid gym go-ers and appreciate both of those things! The showers/lockers/bathrooms are also super nice and have toiletries for you to use! A review for Randy: Every session I feel challenged and that I am learning new moves and pushing my body in the right way. I also love working with him because he knows the right things to say to motivate me. He genuinely cares about my training and makes sure I am feeling good during and after our sessions.

The gym space is beautiful and brand new. The trainers are all highly-qualified and the environment is supportive and non-intimidation (but still challenging). I've gone to P4L at various locations since around March and work with Coach Randy. He's awesome and always challenges me at our sessions. Classes at P4L are all in small groups (either 4 or 8) and you get a lot of personal attention- which I think is super important when strength training (particularly if you're a cubicle worker like me). Classes do fill up quickly so it's important to be on your game and sign up as soon as you can to get in. This is the only negative, because it can be tough to know and commit to a schedule ahead of time.

I have been going to Perform For Life in Hayes Valley for almost seven months and am so glad I found this place and now I'm very excited to be working out at their 3rd location in FidDi! Their new location is just as awesome - conveniently located near public transportation, multiple full showers with amenities, and lockers. Plus the new space is huge and I love the brick wall and plants in pots surrounding their logo right when you walk in! As a runner whose been running for many years now, when I found out about the run lab analysis, I knew I had to do it. After the analysis, I was partnered with Randy and have been working with him ever since. I train with him 1:1 once a week. The workouts are never the same and I'm continuously challenged week after week. He genuinely cares about his clients and their goals and is attentive, positive, professional, patient, knowledgeable, and most of all encouraging. He's always checking my form and will make adjustments to ensure that I'm doing them correctly. He even noticed when I look like I need to loosen my muscles with the various massage guns without me saying sometimes! He is also very responsive to any questions I have about the exercises and has provided workouts to do on my own when not training with him. It is awesome to work with a trainer who is also a runner as well. He understands what my needs are to get better and to keep running for a very long time! Working with Randy has been invaluable to my overall mobility and strength in running which has made me a better runner. Very happy to have found Randy and P4L!

Perform for Life is a small Gym with diverse equipments, that is always kept clean. The trainers are professional and educated. I’ve been working with coach Jacob for the last 17 months. I came in after quarantine 5 (+ 5 kg/11 lb) and with feeling lost around loosing weight. Coach Jacob is a dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable trainer. He is detailed oriented- which is so needed and so well utilized in the personal sessions programming as well as in the nutritional analysis and suggestions. I was able to move the needle towards my goal thank to all the thorough guidance I received in my sessions. The bimonthly in body analysis has been a tool for strategizing accordingly. Jacob has been my best personal trainer I’ve ever had. Thank you P4L!

Great team! During a pandemic I was hesitant about starting a membership with a gym, but P4L isn't like others. The coaches energy during park training is contagious, even at 7am! They make sure the equipment we use during the workout is constantly being wiped down. Awesome community 👍

I wanted to commend Mimi for her energy and consistency throughout my virtual training experience so far. As hard as it is to stay motivated, her willingness to keep encouraging me is very much appreciated. She is knowledgeable and has been giving me workouts that target areas pertaining to my fitness goals. I have already seen improvement in some of my problem areas, which is extremely exciting. There are some exercises I have never tried before which makes me look forward to our workouts. She goes out of her way to keep me accountable and make our workouts fun. She honestly makes the perfect trainer. 10/10 recommend! Thank you Mimi for your organization, consistency, support and energy. As a former athlete trying to bounce back, you have been my motivation to get my health back on track. I am excited to keep working with you throughout the year.

I love this place! Or should I say, I love my trainer!!! Mianni has been a godsend. After having a baby about a year ago, it was time to lose the baby weight and she gave me the tools and the confidence to do so. I always thought I had to lift hundreds of pounds and run 1,000 miles to see results, but she pulled out those resistance bands and changed my mentality around fitness. I would HIGHLY recommend you work with her ladies :-)

Wow! This new studio is absolutely gorgeous. The space is huge and they have plenty of amenities to offer including showers, lockers, etc. It is also conveniently located by public transportation which is a huge plus for me! The staff at P4L are extremely welcoming and kind. Brandon has especially been a HUGE reason why I've kept coming back. He has worked with me one-on-one in order to help me reach my goals. I could not have asked for a better coach. I rave about this place all the time!!

I got nothing but love for the P4L Fam! It was my first time ever doing personal training, and I'm glad I put my trust in them. From consultation, to my first day of training, to the small group classes, I've learned so much about fitness and my own body during this process. I don't know about you, but I've definitely walked into many gyms feeling intimidated and scared to ask questions about how to use machines or how to work out. But at P4L, they've created such a welcoming and friendly culture where you can just keep asking questions and learn about fitness that you can take with you years after. Bryant and Justine are super friendly, and they genuinely care about everyone who walks through those doors, which is why the culture matches exactly that. The coaches and staff are skilled, very knowledgeable, and know how to adapt the program to match your goals. Shoutout to Brandon who manages the FiDi location. I trained with him for a year and a half and he's helped me work on my flexibility, balance, agility, as well as core strength since my goal for personal training was to get better at hiphop dance. I also really like how we can talk about all the new hiphop albums dropping, and basketball.

I have been going to P4L for many years attending their small group classes. These classes have been a major part of my fitness regime. I really enjoy them especially because of the first-rate instructors. However, I decided to elevate my fitness goals and start weekly 1:1 training with Jacob Albritton this past February. It's been an absolute success and as they say the "the proof is in the pudding" ... I have lost over 15 pounds, increased my muscle mass, and lowered my % body fat to name just a few successes. This is all due to the personal programs that Jacob has crafted for me. His attention to detail is second to none which has helped make these results a reality. Jacob also focuses on the importance of diet, sleep, and emotional well-being. I'm excited to see all the progress that is yet to come. Thank you, Jacob and the entire P4L family!

I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Performance for Life / Performance for Golf Facility and trainer Angus Lee! I have been playing competitive sports since I was very young; playing softball for a Big Ten School was a highlight. I do wish they had more training involved in sports when I was involved as it would have saved some major injuries. I have now switched to golf over the last few years and with the time I have to devote to the sport I feel I have accomplished a lot. I work out a lot and I feel I am in decent shape; but I decided to google something close to my office that could offer me a program to help improve my golf game through fitness. As we age golf is hard on the body and knowing what you can do to help this process, I feel is key. I found Performance for Life / Performance for Golf! I went to the initial assessment, and they worked with you on the weakness you can key in on that would help your golf game. I have now been with Performance for Golf for the last 3 months and working with Angus Lee has improved my game and I have not even been able to play because of the rain. The few times I have been able to play I can tell I make a better connection with the ball; and it has made a 1 club difference. Angus pays attention to what is going on with your body and will adjust each week to help you make improvements on the course. We work a lot of rotation and staying down on the swing. (This is all done without a golf club and then when I have been on the course, I feel I have the motion needed to make the proper connection.) Everyone at the FiDi facility is very welcoming and the facility is very clean and convenient to get to. I truly feel this has not only helped me with my golf game in a short amount of time but also for the Game of Life! Liz Frome

So much love and gratitude for this gym, I don't even know where to begin! I've been going to Perform For Life for about a year now and it's the best decision I ever made. When I first started my fitness journey, I was really discouraged. I failed high school PE (haha), and only ever did cardio for exercise so the idea of lifting weights and strength training was foreign to me. The moment I walked into Perform For Life, that intimidation feeling I always get when I walk into a gym immediately went away. The atmosphere here is so positive! All of the coaches here are super welcoming, supportive, and knowledgeable. It really feels like a tight knit community when you come in. The biggest thanks for my new found confidence in myself, and love for lifting weights and working out goes to my Coach Kris Gallimore. I was first paired with him based on my specific goals and his experience previously training tactical athletes. He's patient, encouraging, super informative, and most of all so genuine and makes working out so much fun and enjoyable. The programs he's put together for my goals are top-notch, and we do so much different variety of workouts each session. Every session I feel challenged, and so proud of myself for accomplishing something I did not even know I was capable of. My most recent accomplishment was 30 inch box jumps!! I can’t say thank you enough to him for encouraging me to challenge myself both mentally and physically every session. Seriously, I could rave about him for hours. They also have small group classes that's taught by amazing coaches to supplement the work you are doing with your coach 1:1. These classes are capped at about 5 people so you still have that intimate community feeling. Any fitness goals that you have, Perform For Life can get you there. They will help you meet, and exceed your own expectations that you did not even know you were capable of.

Bryant and his team helped me build strength and add distance to my golf game. I strongly recommend working with them. They’re great at personalizing workouts to my specific needs. Also they provide workouts in a mobile app which is convenient on the go.
