Stinson Beach is a wonderful beach in Northern California. The quaint town and community are full of activities and great restaurants. The beach and park along have 3 huge parking lots, restrooms, grassy areas, BBQ pits, picnic tables, and grassy areas large enough to play games. Swimmers are protected by lifeguards, and there are always surfers off shore catching a wave. Do yourself a favor and come on down, stroll through the shops and restaurants, and then take a walk on the beach! If you find my review helpful, please give me a thumbs-up πŸ‘ Thank you!

It's great until the parking fills up. I've been coming here for over 20 years and it's one of my favorite beaches. Please help keep it clean and pick up litter!

I had a bit of a strange experience here. There was no staff around so I ended up paying the fee ($15 for a day pass) by sliding money under the office door. I had to pay $20 because I didn't have an even $15. Maybe I can get a discount if I ever go there again! Anyway, the gym has a lot of equipment - enough for a good workout and then some. There are a lot of machines and free weights. The only thing I missed was a real power-rack (at least I didn't see one) - but there was a smith-machine at least. The equipment is spread out in the main building and outside in the garden, which was a bit peculiar but it works. There is a sound system where you can connect your phone and play your own music. This worked well for me because no one else was in the gym.

stinson beach is a great beach to visit. beautiful sandy beach with lots of shore line to walk and explore. at times on the weekends the beach can get pretty crowded so it's best to arrive early to be able to find parking and a good place to set up a spot on the beach. the Cafe near by sells tasty pizza and pastries. during summer months they have lifeguards. if you go down the beach a bit they allow dogs. multiple bathroom locations. the bathrooms can get a little gross and occasionally run out of toilet paper and soap. but other than that great beach and great place to spend the day. the town is very small no hotels near by that I'm aware of.

Huge beach area, long shore. Lifeguards are on patrol so it is safer. Clean restrooms on both ends of the beach. There is ample parking. Free parking. Even if the lot is full when you arrive, within a few minutes you will be able to find a spot as people keep coming and going. This beach is fun! Pets are allowed on the right most part of the beach.

Awesome beach with beautiful white sand, lying long in between a lagoon and the ocean. Reminds me of Malibu a bit with the houses right on the beach. Dog friendly.

This is our β€œgo-to” dog friendly beach. During the week and Sundays are our favorite as less crowded. Pretty much all dogs and their owners are responsible and friendly. Great place to take a long beach walk while your pup plays in the ocean alongside you!

Epic, sweeping beach in Stinson Beach. The kind you see in the movies. Clearly-marked one side for dogs and the other side for just people. Our boy Gerbert frolicked joyfully all over the place, met a ton of other dogs, and we all had a total blast. Carefree, miles of shore, the best of Northern California. 5 stars!!!!

Very beautiful and fun place for the family. Few people turned the end of it to a nudist beach, which was not appropriate.

Getting to the beach is struggle. The kids didnt expect the road to sway alot and its a 30mins drive to get there. But after all that it was worth it. The kids had fun and they found alot of sand crab. Dogs are allowed in certain area. There are picnic table and grill and the restroom is ok compared to a portable potty. Come in early to get the best parking spot and less walk from beach to parking lot

Oh where do I even start. My first time coming here was a month or so ago and I was in awe. The ocean is my happy place. But this one is now my favorite place. It's wide open. Great spots to park. Bathroom close to the ocean so you don't gotta go far. The view from the road to the view itself is just pure amazing. Wide open view. Just how I love it. Will be returning and taking my kids for their first time when they come out to see me in a week and half for my birthday 😁πŸ₯°

Stumbled upon this charming town, North of Muir Forest while looking for a gas station. The drive along the ocean was winding and hilly but the views were epic. The seaside cafe had the most amazing crabcakes. Probably my new favorite dish, served with the freshest sprouts and avocado slices. Neither of which I thought I would like but it was heavenly. For a non-touristy experience, something off radar this small town was quiet and soothing.

Very nice beach close to San Francisco. Takes a while to get there due to many people having the same idea on Sunday sfternoon. Took a long walk along the beach. Impressive buildings at the beach unfortunately no public restrooms available. The restrooms at the parking area are closed and in the CafΓ© you have to wait in a big line...

Beautiful scenic beach in northern California. Enjoyed the drive crossing through Golden Gate. Doesn't look ideal for night stay.

The windy road to get there and to leave is crazy! It was probably just this time of year, but there was a lot of seaweed. And no sea shells πŸ˜•. We still enjoyed ourselves.

Nice beach. There is a bathroom with running water and a changing area. A place outside to wash the sand from your feet. Plenty of parking. Saw dolphins! And sea lions! And 1 large live crab. Beware of jellyfish, we saw a lot washed up on the sand.

I loved this beach. On a cloudy day in august- it was busy, but not so busy you couldn’t find a good spot to sit. Lots of birds on this beach. Lots of kids playing games as well. The town was my favorite with its many cute shops and restaurants.
