Point Reyes Beach North

Beach

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I ended up at this beach because the road to the light house was closed. No regrets.. it's so beautiful and not over crowded. My dog loved the beach but was scared of the roaring waves, but who can blame him they were loud and amazing. The beach was easy to access it is a bit tough getting back up....

Great timing when we went. Good amount of parking. Restroom available and one shower rinse spot at least where we parked. We BBQ here, brought our own grill. If you decide to make a burn pit or bonfire must get a permit, don’t be the one to get cited. At least notify visitors center or park ranger just in case. Be safe and play safe.

A gorgeous drive leads to beautiful ocean views with good waves. Sand is quite rough. Good for a nice long walk. The ice plant near the parking lot is very nice in full bloom. There is a bathroom with foot washing spigot and outdoor showerhead. This beach can be windy and cold and is less developed than some Point Reyes beaches but a great place to be.

I love North Beach. You can enjoy the sound and view of the ocean from your car. Enjoyed the last hours of my trip here. The bathroom are regular bathrooms and always clean.

This is one of my to go beaches in Point Reyes. I love listening to the sound of ocean waves here. The parking lot is small and has an easy access to the public restroom.

For a few precious moments it was just ours! What a Beautiful and Romantic Beach. 100% does not look safe to swim in...crazy wave patterns.

Magical everything here! I always go during a weekday so I can't offer my opinion during the weekend. Nothing wrong with the place, just idiot-people level is what I watch out for--weekdays it's quite low. They do have restrooms and a shower to rinse off but I wouldn't recommend swimming--dangerous most of the time but if you like the numbing thrill of a cold ocean to feel alive, have it. I only get my feet wet at that temperature and my toes go numb. And I love the exfoliation by the sand on my feet after jogging/running around a bit and digging holes with your feet.

Really beautiful and peaceful place every time I’ve been there. It changes with time of day and season of the year so each visit reveals new things.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Tennessee valley trail is a cool hike to enjoy nature and dip your toes in the ocean all at the same time. This trail is about 1.75 miles one way to the beach but is absolutely worth it. Beach lovers would love the views and variety of beach sections and the rocks around. Small stones, smaller stone...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Dog friendly to the point that I call it, "Dog Beach." My favorite place to go walk the beach in search of beach glass. Don't expect to lay out here. Watch it if you bring food. Parking on street is for one hour with limited spaces. No bathroom.
