We were all a little disappointed more mass than class and The route to the starting points urgently needs to be optimized. Far too many unnecessary stops where no one gets out. This makes the journey of 2.5 hours with the ā€œOfficial City Tourā€ (24 stops), unnecessarily drawn out. I don't want to repeat all the negative review points, but just mention again the point that particularly bothered us, to get to know the sights of San Francisco in a double-decker sightseeing bus. We don't want to make 24 stops every time, e.g. B. from the starting points of the ā€œSausalito Tourā€ or the ā€œPark & ā€‹ā€‹Beach Tourā€ to return to the starting point. We don't have the time for that even when we're on vacation. Due to time constraints, you only do this once. We also know better ā€œhop-on/hop-off bus toursā€ locally.

Not bad, butā€¦. ... we know much better ā€œhop-on/hop-off bus tours, than the tours offered here by ā€œCitySightseeingā€. Each time a journey of 2.5 hours with the ā€œOfficial City Tourā€, Nobody needs to get to another starting tour. Make 32 stops each time, e.g. B. to the starting points of the ā€œSausalito Tourā€ or the ā€œPark&Beach Tourā€ To come, you only do it once due to time constraints. From our point of view, far too many unnecessary stops, which, as we observed, were not accepted by the other guests either. The competitor ā€œBig Busā€ does this much better with only 20 stops. Our motto: ā€œBetter quality than quantityā€ and We would also like to pay a little more for that, because time on vacation is far too precious, to make the same tours several times. From our experiences, we also believe that an optimized 2-day ticket tour is completely sufficient and the competitor ā€œBig Busā€, his Sigtseeing program to see the top sights of San Francisco, built much better. And this v. G. Criticism, is also used by many other guests in the various rating portals, with sentences like ā€œWorst hop on hop off tour we have ever experiencedā€.

Do not even consider taking this tour, its bad generally but holiday period don't imagine you can get a seat on a bus without first committing a large portion of your life and sanity to standing in a hot queue. Severe delays on the two main lines, red line cancelled over the busiest weekend and no extra buses added. Spent most of my time in San Francisco standing next to stop signs, which is not the ideal place to see the city. Decided to ask for a partial refund and was refused outright. The process of tedious and unnecessary, asked to email the manager who was not taking any calls. Why? Only managed to catch half of one route in 3 days. The commentary was good and the driver did not crash into anything so they seem more competent than the management. If you want to see all the delightful stop signs for hours at a time this is the tour for you!

So regretting booking with this guy/company... If this weren't the last minute booking to Muir Woods, I would have just walked off at the ticket counter... Thought I have checked there is a cafe at Muir Woods from the website, I asked if there is a cafe and he said No. Looking at the return bus schedule at 4:30 pm they offered (trip started at 10 am), I asked that question again, the he said you are in the woods and won't be any food, and treated me like an alien... Even worst, the wrong scheduling info was given. He circled the weekend ferry schedule and actually the ferry was running at weekday schedule (it was a Friday). My family ended up wasting 2 hours waiting at the dock. I can tell you there is a cafe at Muir Woods. First time I was given a wrong info at the ticket booth, how professional he is. Thanks very much Paul!!! Now I really appreciate my prior tour experience.

My experience was awful if you seat at the bottom of the bus you can't see out the windows because they blocked and meshed in and the speakers where to loud. There's no order of lining up when waiting for the bus, people just blocked you and cut you off. There own employees also complaining about not getting lunch breaks.

Over all enjoyed my time on the tour. All the guides and drivers were very good. The company needs to put more buses on the road. I have done Hop on Hop off in many cities and never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get on a bus. The buses were all full and I needed to wait for the next bus more than once. Bus stops are not clearly marked. Was waiting at pier 1.5 with 8 other people and watched the bus drive right by. Had to get an Uber to pier 39. Ticket was not clear that the Muir Woods were not included in the 48 hour ticket.

This company is happy to oversell the tickets by a big margin. We specifically asked about capacity when buying tickets and they assured us that there are always spare seats. Lo and behold - when we tried to board the first bus, we were told there were no seats left. OK, had to wait for the next bus (30 min). That one got filled to capacity after 2 stops as well. Fast forward - 4:30 pm, we are trying to hop on the bus and it's full as well! We had a choice of either standing until someone hope off or waiting for another 30 min. We close standing on the bus and "enjoyed" the same story on each stop - people trying to board our bus only to be told to wait. Guides are also very uneven. The first guide was very knowledgeable and practically showered us with historical, architectural, and cultural information about every building or street corner. The other one preferred crude jokes about bodily functions and drugs. Overall, not recommended.

Recommended service for those who have little time and want to see as much as possible. Very interesting is the fact that the audio guides tell the story of the buildings and the major activities of interest. Also convenient is the fact that they can be used for travel as if they were public transport. Very well structured service. Slightly high price

First: Never , Never use this type of bus with advertizing in both sides, you canā€™t take pictures if you go in the first floor, the driver donā€™t let you hear the info of each point of interest , talking to much using the PA system with a Hey Baby, Hey Baby .,,Bad experience for my wife and my mother that canā€™t go to the second floor because they have a disability. Check before you select the bus and want to stay in the first floor. You canā€™t take pictures because of the advertizing mesh that covers the bus windows. Second: If you buy your ticket online you will need to go to offices to redeem your voucher because they canā€™t do it at the bus. First you need to go to an office some distance from the boarding site to get another voucher then you need to go to other building office in front of the bus parking to get finally your tickets to board the bus . Wao you need to be prepare for that. I donā€™t know why they not use just the office in front of the bus boarding site for the new vouchers and tickets .

Had a mixed experience. In-town tours were excellent. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The Golden Gate/Sausalito leg of the tour was a disaster. No buses for hours as we watched 5 of their competitors go by. The driver showed up 2 hours late then stopped for 15 minutes to take a smoke break. She was very rude to multiple passengers. She was yelling so loudly she attracted the attention of the police. Bear in mind I understand SF traffic, I understand delays. I'm simply very disappointed that they have no way to communicate delays when you call in asking for a bus. I'm disgusted by the way their driver was treating paying customers by yelling at them and telling them to call the office if they have a concern.

Norm during the night tour was great! Other tour guides were hit and miss. At times they were short staffed and buses ran over 45 minutes between pickups. Still a great way to see the city. Would definitely shop around. Plenty of bus tours to choose from.

0 points would be fair. Too few buses and tickets are sold endlessly. The result is that the buses are overcrowded. It is advertised that the bus runs every 30 minutes, but you can forget that. Better be prepared for 1 hour+. The buses are tacked up to the top with advertising, which means that you can't see anything on the bus and you can actually only see anything of the city on the upper deck. It is not a hop on hop off as you will be thrown off the bus at the end of the city tour and cannot remain seated. Hopefully the provider will go bankrupt soon.

Good, took us everywhere we wanted to go really! Would recommend this if you're going to visit LA. Hop hop on buses are perfect for sightseeing in a short amount of time.

The best way to get to know San Francisco

Felt like a safe way to see the tourist destinations. However, even with the 2 day pass, if you get off to explore, there's just not enough time to see everything due to extended wait times to get back on a bus. At times it was faster to forego the bus and take a lyft. We encountered 4 tour guides providing live commentary out of about 9 trips, the first of which was the morning of 8/26 around 10:30 and did not follow a PC script and was screaming into the microphone multiple times while going through a tunnel. The other 3 gentlemen providing the live commentary were wonderful and shared many great facts. We took a trolley to Sausalito over The Golden Gate Bridge and also around the park loop(the green trolley) and found both of those drivers provided live commentary and were knowledgeable and personable people-was quite pleased with both and they were a highlight of the tours.

šŸ‘šŸ‘ Overall this was a great way to experience Alcatraz. From the moment we got on the boat, to the moment we returned from the island, it was fun and educational. The tour boat itself that shuttles passengers to the island is solar powered, which is pleasant to know itā€™s operating with less of a carbon...
