Cute bar but drink prices are insane!! They had no well vodka so I opted for titos… $22 for a double with cranberry juice and $11 for a pint of draft beer. We live in Denver so are no stranger to expensive drinks but this was outrageous! Would not recommend unless you have more money than sense.

I stayed at the Adelaide Hostel around the corner from spot, which was recommended to me by the receptionist there. The door guy was friendly and welcoming. Friendly bartender. A ton of international folks there, as I could hear multiple languages being spoken around me. Great vibe all around. Fun, loud music. Seems like a fancy place, but has a comfy atmosphere. Went back the 2nd night of my stay and the bartender remembered my drinks. Kudos. Thanks for the hospitality!

Not that big place but there were nice music and alcohol. The place was small so I and my friends felt cozy. It was a little bit dark(like other bars) so perfect to drink alcohol. Price is also not too expensive. The only weakness was this place is in a little bit dangerous area. So after drinking, be safe to go back home.

Very generous cocktails with reasonable prices. Don't know who owns the music playlist but we were singing along 3 times in a row (that's how you know the cocktails are good lol)

A MUST downtown San Francisco low-key bar experience if you're staying in the vicinity or bar hopping. It's chill with no frills and the drinks are well priced. The bar tenders are super friendly. The Owl Tree has been a downtown fixture for decades for a reason. Its great for a quite date or hang out with a small crew - I e - cozy ish and not big.

A great low-key bar! It has a cozy vibe and is a great place to sit down and talk, though it can get a little loud every now and then.

What a great place. Very welcoming where the bar tender greets you with a smile and makes great drinks. Went Monday night before July 4 and the young lady at the bar with a great smile made great drinks and there was great Irish whisky. Love this place and I hope to keep returning.

Really cool bar with a great atmosphere. It's relatively small, but has great vibes. We got negronis there and they were premixed, so we're giving 4 stars instead of 5, but I'm sure their drinks are good too.

My personal favorite here in San Francisco. Warm, cozy and friendly. This bar is surrounded by some great hotels and hostels so you’re always going to meet someone from somewhere interesting who dropped in for a drink. The bartenders and staff are the friendliest you’ll find. They boast a great selection of beers both bottled and tap and cocktails are perfect. They also let you play music for free so yeah… 10/10 I would upload more photos but it’s just me and my friends going absolutely bonkers at the bar.

Good service and the drinks came out well. Dim, chill and talk kind of bar. Not great for working remotely though, about 15mbps wifi

If you are in the neighborhood it's def worth a stop in. Friendly people, old fashioned charm, very basic but very good at being basic. Lots of wood, brass, and atmosphere here!

Great drinks, the bartender Derrick was gracious, kind, and very competent. I'd definitely return if I happen to be in SF again.

My friends and I visited for pre-dinner cocktails and the bartender and security were really nice, amazing vibes and an intimate neighborhood bar. Would definitely visit again!

Seriously good boozer. I’m currently dealing with the one the worst hangovers I’ve ever had as a result of a world class session in the Owl Tree last night. Highly recommend, but a word from the wise, the Mule cocktail is not one to be trifled with.

Cozy little bar with an east coast vibe. Darya is a personable, always smiling bartender. I roll in 1x -2x a week after Warriors games. I will after the season as well.

Very cool, small, local bar! Not full of tourists.

A small simple bar without overbearing loud music. The taps taste like they're cleaned daily. Full bar. One of my favorite gems in the area.

Cute bar with good music and friendly staff. Cocktails were relatively average but the fun atmosphere made up for it although would recommend beers / ciders.

Good place, to chill after long day of, work, shopping or just about any reason. I went the owl tree Wednesday, June 29 to spend, the day after my appt. Last time I was at OW was 2.5 years ago. Wine was not a bad price. The bartender Ashley is very nice!! Yes, the OW is small, dark and ok neighborhood but hey it a dive bar, right???? Gotta enjoy it!! I will be back for more.

I like it so much I went back on two consecutive nights! Why? It has exactly the right atmosphere for a bar of this size, the staff were great, the drinks well made and it was just very comfortable. Next time I'm in SFO I'll see you there!

Last night was my Friday night! TGIF I love that I can walk to this bar from my apartment in Koreatown. The DJ was fun and no cover! Always a fun place to go. I love the vibe of the "old school" type bar with the dim lights and all. It is always a welcoming vibe with friendly bartenders. I love the password use to get in as well. Makes me feel special, and who doesn't like to feel special? Ha! Oh, tip...drink specials when paying with cash.

We stumbled on this place after a long day of sales training and it was a blast. Great place to unwind with friends over cocktails. The bartender was patient and friendly.

Fun place and great staff. If you need a tasty drink, and a beautiful bar, come by the Owl.

Cute bar with pretty good drinks. Service was okay. My only confusion was the fact that my first receipt showed my total as $2 cheaper than the receipt I got after giving the bartender my credit card. The other mandates and taxes were already figured in on the first receipt, but it was different on the final receipt. I’m guessing it was a credit card charge that they just don’t tell you about. The bartender never came back down to our end of the bar, so I didn’t get to ask her about it.

A cozy old fashioned bar in the tenderloin decorated with tasteful impressions of the wisest bird of prey serves as a reminder of the possibility that an oasis can exist amidst a deteriorating zombie wasteland.

Awesome little cozy bar with a cool lounge feel. Staff were nice and the clientele were cool people too. Drinks are normal priced and nothing special imo but it was fun!

Prob one of my top dive-ish bar now with great cocktails, decent price, glamorous decor, and livelier atmosphere. It just felt cozy, enough people to feel welcoming without overly exhausting.

Stumbled into this gem, truly a fun bar! Everything has a hidden owl. The atmosphere is please and the drinks are plentiful. You will enjoy this clasic pub! Huge list of cocktails, and a good selection of draft brews. The lighting is very pleasant and the staff is fun. Very locally feel, and free popcorn!

A place where 80’s one hit wonders and Mariah Carey are blasting with the Gremlims on TV. Let’s agree it’s a good setting to enjoy a cocktail 🍸

Nice small bar with insane drink prices. I would like to enjoy the place longer but $35 for 2 vodka Red Bulls is what made me leave quickly. Clear abuse of the current situation.
