A quiet, off the beaten path, mini park with lovely flowers and trees.

It is a really small park. There's some things to sit on and some plants and some space to walk around. This would be a good place to rest if you've been walking a lot or to have a picnic if nobody else is there.

Small but quiet park. There aren't really any seating areas/benches but there's a small grassy area that you can lay out a picnic blanket and chill. The park itself seems to mainly be a walkway between two streets so there's quite a bit of foot traffic (at least when I was there on a Sunday afternoon).

Tiny but nice and cozy. Little tiny stumps just big enough to sit your butt on (only 3 of them) but the little grassy area is very sittable as well. I recommend it.

Lovingly tended, sunny and peaceful Issei zen garden dedicated to the first generation of Japanese Americans is a perfect spot for a break from busy Fillmore Street shopping. Catch some rays, eat a takeout lunch or practice Tai chi here, but please respect this favorite neighborhood historic spot where you will find locals hanging out. Keep it clean and quiet, and enjoy the flowers and row of cottages.

Have been watching some inspired gardeners restoring, replanting, and upgrading this little park. It was a bit of a shock when trees were removed but there are so many thoughtful details: the tree stumps have been made into steps, and the flower/foliage beds have been protected with a low fence of bent willow ( think its willow). It's more open and I would love to know whoever is responsible that they are inspired and their work is so appreciated it.

If you perhaps purchased some sushi to go or a snack from Daiso , this is a pleasant setting to enjoy it. You'll get more peace here than in the Peace Plaza. If you have kids with you, this is a good place for them to run around where they can not run too far.
