Clean, quiet, shady space with plenty of seating. Offers a park like twist to a patio setting, great for meetups, lunch, or a quiet place to study. No smoking is allowed, so no worries about having your time spent here disturbed by unpleasant smells. The area is well maintained and secured by a security staff employed by neighboring buildings (I think).

Nice open area that is always clean. Can get very busy on a nice day between 12-2pm.

The roof garden, above the Salesforce Transit Center, is one of San Francisco's hidden gems for walking and having a bag lunch. The views of the high rises all around are quite majestic. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a very busy and bustling city.

Like Superman's fortress of solitude You come here if you want some peace or raise your attitude Great place for lunch or a talk Down in SOMA so easy to walk One warning is that it sure gets busy View is nice, looking up at the buildings will make you dizzy This is a hidden gem in SOMA (south of market) where a whole lot of workers come to escape their cubicle prisons to have some fresh air. The only downside is that there is construction on one side, but it's OK. When it's sunny, there's not that much shade, but in general great place to go. They have tables and chairs, and areas to sit if those are taken up. There's also a nice waterfall type art piece as well.

It's a great place to get off the street and sit down to enjoy your lunch or just rest for a few minutes. But, it's like the other reviewers said, it's a bit noisy due to the construction. If the main water feature was working, it might dampen the noise a bit, but it isn't working. Also, be aware, no dogs allowed, which is a plus if you want to sit on the grass, but a minus if Fido is with you.

This is a marvelous addition to downtown San Francisco. There are dozens of variety of trees and hundreds of other kinds of plants. Could use more signage identifying what is there. Plenty of open space, benches and amenities. Opening day crowd control was awful. Hope they do a better job of managing bus patron traffic.

Stairs on the Mission St. side lead up to a very well-kept garden with benches, tables, and adequate shade. Unfortunately construction noise during working hours may be bothersome. If you approach after hours, a security guard will bark at you through a hidden speaker.

Beautiful scenery, quiet, peaceful, tranquil. A great place to eat lunch , have a conversation or just relax on a break. Will frequent this spot whenever I can.

Yes!!!!! If you LOVE plants, you will love it here. Bring a jacket if you get cold easily. I was there in early summer. There are so many species of succulents. Paradise on a roof. It's so nice. And if you look very carefully, you may catch glimpses of hummingbirds.
