The
"Very
Vegan
Sisig"
as
a
rice
bowl
is
simply
the
best
preparation
of
tofu
that
my
taste
buds
have
ever
come
in
contact
with.
As
a
vegan
for
years
and
lifelong
vegetarian,
I
have
a
high
bar
for
tofu,
but
they
really
knocked
it
out
of
the
park
with
the
hearty
meaty-feeling
taste.
Their
description
of
"garlicky,
spicy
tofu"
just
doesn't
do
it
justice.
The
salad
dressing
on
the
included
side
salad
was
phenomenal
as
well;
I
really
need
to
figure
out
how
to
make
something
similar
at
home.
I
don't
normally
like
raw
carrots
but
this
dressing
could
make
my
worst
nightmares
taste
delicious.
The
rice
in
the
rice
bowl
was
tastefully
flavored
as
well,
but
I'm
glad
it
didn't
overpower
the
tofu
or
the
crunchy
(corn?)
bits
that
are
sprinkled
on
top.
Cons:
Their
hours
are
really
hard
to
find
on
their
website,
and
their
logistics
could
definitely
use
some
work.
I
assumed
they
would
be
open
during
the
same
times
as
the
SoMa
StrEat
Food
Park
where
they're
located
(5-9pm
for
dinner)
but
they
close
at
8pm,
and
were
actually
closed
by
the
time
I
got
there
at
7:55pm.
I
tried
going
for
lunch
the
following
day
and
they
were
closed
by
2:50pm
despite
stating
lunch
hours
until
3pm.
They
didn't
have
a
phone
number
listed
to
call
ahead
and
verify
if
they
were
open.
When
I
finally
caught
them
that
evening
at
6pm,
they
were
out
of
the
"Why
You
Laing"
entirely
which
I
had
wanted
to
try
and
had
crossed
out
all
of
their
homemade
drinks,
of
which
I
would
have
gotten
the
halo-halo
coconut
milk
tea.
I'll
have
to
come
back
another
time.
With
a
tofu
dish
as
delicious
as
theirs,
I
won't
need
much
convincing.
