Totally awesome. The park is nice but can get busy. Beautiful option for a quick picnic and a great photo-op. TIP: even when busy it only took two trips around the park to find someone leaving and snag a spot. Definitely recommend.

“ I was absolutely overwhelmed by the information provided by Jay on this tour last week. At every turn he wove an interesting and thorough tapestry of the Victorian Age in SF coupled with the factual architectural presence of the then and now. A nice touch was given about those celebs and their homes in the area as well as politicians. Since the tour, I am definitely looking up to not only a gorgeous view of the city sky, but now of the beautiful homes and life as it was and how it evolved into the wonderful even- playing- field full of history, that is SF. Take this tour By all means. Thank you Jay for a great 2 hours. Carmelita Spilman 11.24.21

This tour was such an awesome way to kick off my family vacation in San Francisco! Jay was so knowledgeable about the architecture & history of the city! He also knew a lot about the vegetation/trees around the city - and how many of them came from other countries to thrive in the dry climate! Jay was so friendly and answered all of our questions too. I definitely recommend his 'Private Tour' way of seeing San Fran! Thank you!

Jay provided an excellent private tour for my friend and me. He is clearly knowledgeable about the architecture and history of the area. He’s a fun fellow to spend time with and was great at communicating as we planned the tour. Highly recommended—well worth the extra cost.

Jay shares amazing information about homes and designs mixed with the history and evolution of old San Francisco and the new. Well worth the time and money.

I took this tour with my family when they visited the city, and it is awesome! Jay is entertaining and passionate. The tour is a mix of history, architecture, and celebrity fun facts. It's a great inexpensive way to spend a couple hours and get to know the best of San Francisco. The tour ends by Union Street, which is a terrific neighborhood to grab lunch.

An amazing tour that gives you a perspective you wont get anywhere else. Jay is an amazing guide with endless information. Very informative and very personal. I could tell how much Jay loved what he was talking about and that makes the experience all the better. I cannot express how enjoyable this was. If i am ever in the city again, i will definitely book this tour again.

For Mothers Day, I took my mom on a private tour with Jay. Jay was a wonderful, and knowledgeable host. We loved the walk, and how he weaved so much information with his personal history and connection to the city. When it was over, I had learned so much, had a great time with my mom, and Jay felt like a friend. Amazingly, we never went up any hills! Cannot recommend this tour enough.

My family and I took a private tour with some friends last week. The Queen Anne Hotel made a perfect starting point, and along the way, we learned about different Victorian styles, received a mini-history of San Francisco, and saw some Victorian homes of the rich and famous. We enjoyed walking through different neighborhoods and listening to Ray’s interesting stories. Over the years, he has amassed a small treasure trove of information from walking those streets and doing his own research. When Ray left us at Cow Hollow after our 2-hour walk, I felt sated and happy that I got so much out of the tour. It was also time well spent with friends who live in the Bay Area.

We took a private tour with Jay this morning. He was a pleasure to deal with, responded timely to texts, and accommodated our schedule to find a good time for us both. He's tremendously knowledgeable about the houses, both architecture and history. This private tour was a great way to get to know the city better, after many more superficial walks on earlier visits.

Don't miss this walking tour with Jay! My friend from SoCal came for a visit and we had a fantastic tour, just us two, with Jay. First you get to explore the Queen Anne hotel at 1590 Sutter, then you're off walking and learning and seeing all the different Victorian styles, along with stories of the city. Jay is so fun and knowledgeable . He even helped us find the bus to take us back to our car! A definite delight!

My mom and I took a tour with Jay this weekend - met at the Queen Anne Hotel and enjoyed exploring the interior and the commentary on its history. We walked through several neighborhoods, observing all aspects of Victorian architecture. Jay was extremely knowledgeable and filled in relevant historical context. Miraculously, we did not have to climb any hills and still got great views down to the bay from Pacific Heights! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone (of any age!)
