We've paid more for less amenities. Worth every penny for the service, room, location and the view. Considering the area, we felt the cost was more than reasonable. The pictures on the website are not deceiving or photoshopped to appear nicer than they actually are (this place is as elegant as the pictures show). I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay (I just regret not being able to stay longer). When you list a special occasion as a reason for your visit, they acknowledge it. We had no idea that there was a wine and cheese reception every night at no extra cost. You can have the wine and cheese brought to your room as well as the complimentary continental breakfast (which is top notch). Coffee and tea available all day. Secured parking with valet.

If you're looking for a romantic getaway, look no further than the inn above tide . My husband and I recently stayed there and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm and friendly service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was perfect. Our room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. But what really set this hotel apart was the romantic atmosphere. The hotel is situated in a picturesque location with stunning views of the surrounding area. Overall, I would highly recommend the inn above tidefor anyone looking for a romantic getaway. The staff, the atmosphere, and the amenities all exceeded our expectations and made for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to go back!

A gorgeous place to stay. Rooms are feeling a little bit dated (older carpet) but the views are incredible. Staff kept it professional if a bit detached.

We are coming back for sure. This little boutique hotel is perfect for either a short weekend or a long week, perfect location with amazing views. The hotel does not have a restaurant but it really doesn’t need one, there’s lots of good restaurants in just a quick walking distance. Perfect little town to spend the day in or take the ferry to San Francisco for the day. Can’t wait to come back.

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay, it's one of our top favorite hotels ever! Found the best tasting quiche in the world here, I Literally couldn't get this quiche off of my mind and emailed them they emailed back and let me know exactly where it's from a bakery in Berkeley, I can't wait to go but what great customer service from this hotel rhey were outstanding, place is calm quite and clean with great breakfast and everything is walking distance! Got to even see some sea lions in the water from our room window. They also park your car in the private gated parking lot just for the hotel which we loved.

Definitely the best of all worlds! Highly recommend the rooms with balconies on the water. Gorgeous rooms with wood burning fireplace and views of the bay from a cozy bed- top it off with a bottle of wine and cheese plate delivered to your door complimentary each evening, and you have one of the very nicest places you could ever want to stay. The staff was awesome and the cleanliness was top notch. Location was literally next door to the ferry that takes you across the bay to explore the wharf. Absolutely want to stay here again-loved it!!

Our 6-night stay at The Inn Above Tide was even more wonderful than we had anticipated. The staff is efficient, helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to please. Our room overlooked San Francisco Bay, and from our terrace we could almost touch the water. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. We even saw a few seals and dolphins and frequently watched the ferries come and leave from the nearby dock. The ferries can take you to the San Francisco Ferry Terminal Building or Pier 39 in a half an hour. The gourmet Continental buffet breakfast (included) was great as was the evening wine & cheese reception. Unfortunately, because there were many superb restaurants in walking distance, we rarely partook in the evening offerings. The valet parking worked for us, and although we used our car sparingly, it was readily available and reasonably priced. Even if all the amenities above were not as pleasing, it is Location, Location, Location, right in the heart of Sausalito.

Incredible place. Right on the water. 10's across the board. Stay here if you can. Everyone was top notch. Room was perfect. Total attention to detail. Tommy, Joe, Max and Tina were so nice to my wife/I. Class act individuals. Wife/I drove across the US from Florida and we picked the perfect place to stay at Salsilito in the San Francisco area. They keep your car behind the gates which is awesome. Ferry to go over San Franciscan Piers right next to this location. So convenient. Again, incredible place.

Included is a lovely wine and cheese reception every afternoon. The staff is excellent. Very courteous and very friendly. Definitely stay here.

Such a fantastic place to stay. We booked the same room for next year. I can't say enough great things about this place and staff.

Lovely spot on the water, log burning stove and view overlooking San Fran. Breakfast is simple but tasty and the complimentary wine and cheese room service is a lovely touch. The staff were helpful and could recommend local spots to try including nail salons and gyms.

Professional, friendly, accommodating staff. One of the best hotel continental breakfasts. Amazing clean room with a view! My toddler couldn't get enough of the patio. Great central location in Sausalito. We cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I searched a number of places to stay in San Francisco hoping to have a special experience. After debating whether or not to spend a bit extra to stay here, we saw all the reviews that said it was great so we went for it. If you find yourself debating as we did, do yourself the favor and stay here. You deserve it and they make you feel that way. We arrived to valet parking and they told us they were upgrading us to the tidal suite free of charge. Not being accustomed to treats such as this we found that was only the beginning. The staff were so polite and generous, thought ahead to make sure we felt cared for, and honestly treated us like we were old friends. The tidal suite is mind blowing btw. Wood burning fire place, larger deck over the water, wine and cheese delivered every night, robes and slippers, amazing pillows, and a tremendous view of the city. We will officially be going here anytime we visit San Francisco. Best place to stay in my opinion.

Phenomenal hidden gem in Sausalito. I almost want to keep it a secret so it stays special. It sits right on the water and the views are just gorgeous. They treat you like royalty as well. Location cannot be beat in Sausalito, as it sits right by the harbor in a central area.

What a delicious piece of heaven in Sausalito!! My husband and I stayed here for two nights in a king size room over looking the bay and it was absolute perfection. Having breakfast on the balcony while listening to the water and taking in insane views of the fog rolling in over the city was a highlight. The staff was wonderful! They fixed us up with everything we needed for an extensive bike excursion to the Tennesse Valley Trail. I left my charger after we checked out and they sent a currier to our hotel in Napa to deliver it personally. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The room was absolutely beautiful, the beds were so comfortable, the quiche for breakfast was insane, and the wine and cheese delivered to our room every night was icing on the cake. We will most definitely be returning to The Inn Above Tide!

100% Top Notch. Amazing stay. Great views. Loved the in room breakfast. Valet parking was quick and easy. Close to Ferry which made things easier. I can't wait to be return! Go ahead and book.

The rooms are showing some age, but the location and service cannot be beat. A truly wonderful and recommended experience all around if the cost fits into your budget. Free buffet breakfast and nightly cheese + bottle of wine was a nice surprise that was unsurprisingly amazing.

Five stars is not enough to explain how much I love this place! Just the views! OMG! The Views! From your balcony, you get sweeping vistas of the Bay, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline. You are literally ON the water! The rooms are super nice; some bathrooms have jetted tubs. And the staff is so friendly and accommodating! They have a delicious wine/cheese reception (delivered to your room, since Covid), and an extensive, delicious continental breakfast buffet. I don't even consider staying anywhere else. I am here every single year. PS: Sausalito is a much better choice than the city!

Everything was perfect. I had a king room with a balcony. From sunrise to sunset, it was a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice and quiche. The tub had jets, perfect for a bubble bath and paired with the complimentary wine and cheese in the evening. Close by all the shops and restaurants. Staff was so kind and helpful. No complaints and will be back! Thank you!

My husband and I stayed one night in April 2022 in room 301. This is a corner room and the view is great on both sides. See photos. The room is modern, clean but a bit on the small side. The hotel is a short walk to all kinds of restaurants, shops and the pier if you want to take the ferry. Breakfast was included and was delivered to the room on a tray. We had one of the best breakfast. The food was great and it was very enjoyable eating it on the balcony with the great view. The hotel has a small parking lot behind the gate. If you don't want to valet park, there is a public parking lot near the hotel. As much as we enjoyed our stay, one night was enough for us since it is a pricey hotel.
