Had a ski accident and needed to see a medical professional immediately. Was turned around from 2 locations because either "the walk in was full" or "we don't have a technician today". I was in the city on business and Lyfted or walked to multiple urgent cares around the area trying to find "urgent care". I still had NO luck after four hours so decided to reschedule my flight back home early. Landed in Denver the next day and went straight to urgent care - no wait, and fully staffed. Turns out I had three broken vertebrae and a torn calf muscle.. Luckily am not paralyzed. Carbon Health -- just because someone walks into your clinic calmly does not mean they are okay. Take your patients seriously because everyone reacts differently to injuries. Also rethink your staffing model. Having a "full" urgent care or "no technician today" in multiple locations is ridiculous. It was as if you expected people to take Mondays off from having medical concerns. The people in the city deserve better local medical care than that.

Went here earlier this year for a simple ear cleaning. The service was fine, but billing has been a nightmare. I was originally charged the correct amount for this service, then months later I was charged more out of nowhere. I finally got a refund after months, but now I just got charged $170 after finally getting the refund. Incredibly dumb and frustrating. This is a $20 service with insurance, so I have no idea how this could happen. I just got off the phone with Carbon Health, and they are checking the charge with their billing department. My insurance assured me that $20 is the correct amount, so this is insane.

I was happy to see all the positive reviews, but had a horrible experience. My total bill was $395 for a single Covid PCR test which was done in < 5min. This PCR test is required for a hospital surgery in 2 days. They also charged me $195 for a “site visit” but never told me this was going to be charged, in addition to the $200 PCR test itself. This bill was charged after they told me that everything would be covered by insurance. The staff was courteous and respectful, but totally not worth the unexpected $395 bill. Unrelated, but signing up for Carbon Health on desktop site was difficult. It kept resetting my password and preventing my login. Eventually I downloaded the app and it was fine.

Last month I received a vaccine shot at Carbon Health and to my greatest surprise, based on the claim submitted by the clinic, I also received a "45 minutes +" consultation (which I never received by the way). So, now I'm being billed $575 for a vaccine shot! If the doctors visit was a condition to receive the shot - (1) patients need to be notified about that before getting the service; (2) actually providing the consultation "and it should last 45 minutes+, as they claim it on the invoice". Stay away from this network and their shady business!

I was visiting San Fransisco from Canada. I needed a Covid test to return. Carbon Health was excellent. Quick service upon arrival and the receptionist assisted in showing us how to download the results. I would use again.

I came to this Carbon Health Urgent Care location for the first time yesterday. I had a very good experience. First off, setting up an appointment on the Carbon app is very easy and convenient as it allows you do most of the paperwork prior to coming into the office and it makes sure that you won't have to wait a long time to see the doctor. (They also do allow walk-ins.) The location is perfect for people living in the area as we can just walk there. The front desk staff was very understanding and helpful with me about completing my health insurance documents and ensuring I would only pay the copay. The MA was very kind and the PA Adam Shiffman was very knowledgeable about my issue and able to give me a great treatment plan. I had such a good experience that I'm planning to make the doctor at this location my PCP. I will be back here for future medical needs.

Carbon Health Urgent Care is top notch. My appointment ran so smoothly, I almost forgot where I was. The reception desk is staffed with the nicest young ladies. The medical assistant was very personable and had a great sense of humor. I was already feeling better before I saw the PA. The PA was the icing on the cake. He was very thorough and personable. He was patient and answered and re answered my questions with a smile.

I had a great experience at Carbon Health Urgent Care at Spear St. Getting an appointment was easy, so was checking in at the clinic. The care staff was efficient. Dr. Asefi is everything you would expect from your doctor, she listened patiently, answered all my questions, diagnosed me pretty quickly and charted a treatment plan. She’s also warm, friendly and has a great attitude which always helps if you’re anxious! I was out in an hour.

A beautiful and clean entryway into the reception and waiting room. Of the three or four times I’ve been there the staff has always been attentive and that they all look like they truly enjoy their jobs and being there. The neighborhood is well kept, clean and definitely feel safe to be walking around at all hours of the day. Also they are open on Saturdays makeing it even more convenient. There GREAT!

Was very easy to set up appointment. On Sunday I was able to get Monday appointment. Tons of locations make it easy as well. Doctor was very nice and helpful. Also big plus I was able to get all my testing done at the same location. I was in and out almost within an hour, with all testing done. However Dr didn’t rush and went over everything. Now wait time helps!

This place use to be way better 4 years ago. Laura is a nurse practitioner. She is amazing 5stars for her but thats their only medical staff! There is no doctor here. There use to be, but they left and were not replaced. Messages take forever to get responded to now because they are swamped. I feel for them i know this industry is tough. But not picking up calls or being able to get medicines that you depend on is scary. Ive been trying to get my INHALER refilled for a week now. Ive called three carbon locations, sent messages on three channels, and initiated the refill from pharmacy and still i have no inhaler. An urgent care and primary facility should be able to do the small stuff and yet theyre failing at that. Something must be going on post pandemic with the company and their staff. I will be finding a new place for primary care.

Carbon Health helped me in a time of need. They had same-day appointments available, diagnosed my issue quickly, and provided the care that I needed. Their health professionals followed up later about my condition in a compassionate way. I recommend Carbon Health whole-heartedly for their accessible, effective care.

I had a great experience at carbon health two years ago for a physical check. But I don’t think I will be coming back any more after a recent visit. I think (but not 100% certain) a nurse was stepping in as a receptionist. The nurse taking my vitals has really long hair, which was not tied up or wrapped…

I had an unfortunate accident while on a business trip in San Francisco and needed to seek care as soon as I could. I was thoroughly impressed with the availability and responsiveness from Carbon Health, as well as how friendly the staff was. I was able to book an appointment over the phone, and 30 minutes later, they were more than happy to see me. The nurses and staff genuinely were attentive to my ailment and spent the time to ensure I was going to be fine when I left. Made the rest of my business trip more manageable until I could get back home. Thank you again!

One of the best urgent care facility that I went through is in the spear st. All of the stuff is awesome. I thank Olivia Louie for taking care of me she have a gentle and caring personalities. She made me feel safe and relax during my visit. And the MA Kim she is awesome she have a caring heart and sympathetic. Spear street is lucky to have this people working with them. Very awesome and beautiful people.

By far the worst urgent care services I have received. All staff I interacted with were very inexperienced and essentially shrugged at me after I described my symptoms. After getting no help from Carbon my primary provider (One Medical) was able to identify that I was having gastro issues after 5 minutes of my describing symptoms. Carbon also took blood tests but never got back to me with results. The highlight of the visit was being asked "if I have any fun plans for the rest of the day" after telling staff I was in excruciating, debilitating pain and unable to move, eat, or drink, and had been for the past two days

I had wax buildup in my ears and opted to visit Carbon Health on Spear Street in an emergency. It turned out to be a regrettable choice. Upon examination, the healthcare provider informed me that my ears were actually clean. But I knew that there was wax built up in my ears Fortunately , I managed to schedule an appointment with a different doctor today, who successfully removed the earwax. I must also mention that the nurse who initially attempted to clean my ears had an attitude problem.

Had a fantastic experience! Dr. Asefi was amazing and really put my needs first. She answered all my questions and didn’t rush me. I had seen three doctors before who couldn’t figure out what my condition was but thanks to her I’m finally symptom free. Everyone was super friendly and caring as well. I’m definitely coming back here in the future.

Best primary care in SF! Can’t say enough about NP Laura Sharp. She is very knowledgeable, amazing and provides excellent care. Love the App. It’s is super convenient to set up appointments and talk to care team and see your lab results. It works seamlessly. Very friendly and helpful, organized staff.

The services that I received from Anneliese is excellent! She ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great, they were helpful, patient and helped with my insurance. Too bad my insurance are HMO but definitely will upgrade my health insurance to come back here again.

My provider Laura is phenomenal. She walked me through everything and is so amazing at her job. She’s medically informed while also being kind and empathetic to her clients. I highly recommend for any women who need their visits done!

Had a bad sinus infection and sought care from Carbon Health. The app is easy to navigate. Quickly, I set up an appointment for later in the day and went about my business. When the time came, I was seen promptly. The staff was friendly, engaging and efficient. my visit was completed in about ten minutes. My prescription was called in to a pharmacy if my choice. I’m always pleased with my visits to Carbon Health and highly recommend them.

I was already stressed out because I’m taking a 7 day cruise this weekend and didn’t know that the cruise line wanted a “documented” Covid test. I walked in with my dog towards the end of the day. The receptionist (who I wish I could remember her name) was very friendly and professional. She registered me, got me in and I had my results in under an hour. The young man (Luis) who facilitated the test was equally friendly and professional. I feel so much better and I’m ready to cruise; thanks to them. What stood out was their demeanor. This was close to 6:00PM and their attitudes were still so fresh!! Outstanding representation of Carbon Health. I’ve already told two people in my neighborhood.

If you’re looking for a good place for any medical attention this is the spot. They are the best I’ve found with use of apps and communication. Also, I am very sensitive to needles but Sabrina was the best at drawing blood, I did not even feel the needle! It was magic. Laura was so kind and knowledgeable, I wish I lived here so I could make carbon health my primary care long term. This was the best visit I’ve had for a checkup - thank you!

Very sophisticated and professional facility. Modern technology made it a super easy check in, even for a new client that had to upload new documents and information. They have an app/website you can use to talk to the staff and update information/ see lab results (which is amazing & very convenient) It felt like all the staff was very knowledgable & helpful. The PA that seen me gave me great recommendations before trying to prescribe me anything & also educated me on the differences between side affects and allergies to medications which could potentially save my life in them long run... And lastly, even on a busy day like the day of my visit, everyone was super nice and friendly and made the whole visit run smoothly.

Visiting from out of town and developed an issue with my ear. I made an appointment on line, showed up at the urgent care clinic, was promptly checked in and within 10 minutes I was seen by an attending RN. The RN, with excellent manner and professionalism, swiftly diagnosed and addressed the problem. I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. The clinic, the staff, and the efficiency in which they served me deserve 10 stars! Very impressive. Very grateful.

Easy to make appointments, great app, and very competent nurse practitioners, doctors, and staff. I also appreciate being able to do labs, some imaging, and other services during my appointment. Other places require an additional visit to get this stuff done.

Does not guarantee 3-5 day turnaround for covid tests! Understandable that it is holiday season but they should not tell their patients that.

Over promised and under delivered. Their tests results take over a week when they would take 2-3 days max at a normal clinic. I started and broke a fever, saw two additional doctors and completed antibiotics before getting mine back. Any time you save in scheduling convenience you will more than make up for. As for the app, I reached out after my appointment when I was having additional serious symptoms and no one responded to me. There is no such thing as real time help from the doctors from this company. In addition, when the doctor was examining me, she said she “swore she wasn’t a lesbian”, which was extremely offensive and unprofessional. You’d really be better off going to another urgent care. I really wanted to like carbon, but this company has caused me an unbelievable amount of unnecessary stress and shouldn’t offer services it can’t reasonably deliver on.

Love Carbon Health! Very easy and convenient to work with, clean facilities and their app works flawlessly. Really nice to see technology catch up to the medical world- and Carbon Health is an excellent application of it.

I’m sorry I just… I can’t with this place. Avoid it for COVID tests and during a surge in general. I know how stressed healthcare is, but there are much better testing options in the city. With an appointment we waited 30 minutes and then left. This was for a symptom-free Covid test, and we were expected to wait next indoors next to a clearly infected, and very ill, covid patient. We chose to wait outside and couldn’t believe they weren’t ventilating the lobby at all. We left after 30 min watching one person work a long infected queue. Ultimately it was an exposure risk, not just an inconvenience. The other Carbon location (on Harrison) is much better, but Carbon pales in comparison to using Color, unless you pay $150 for the 1-hour turnaround. Carbon wants to monetize so badly that their free results are 3-5 days vs. Color’s 24h free results. Plus, Color’s locations are much more ventilated and safe (drive up especially, but also churches etc). Sending love to healthcare workers, but advise choosing alternative options than this.
