😠 It looks like a great place to visit but sadly just found out you have to be vaccinated in order to enter. I understand COVID is contagious but it's a norm now. Just take precautions and wear mask. Vaccinated or not both individual can still get COVID. I will go somewhere else where Im not judge by... People often mention aquarium, great,

I was wondering why the ticket prices were so high for this aquarium, but after my visit, I understood why. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. There is so much to see and experience! It's more than just an aquarium. There are other types of well executed exhibits as well. I was there for almost 2 hours, and there was still more I didn't get a chance to see.

I also am wondering why the ticket prices are so high. If all that was here was the aquarium what an utter disappointment. Small, crowded, uncontrolled mass of humanity replete with constantly ear piercing shrieking children in a confined concrete space. I’ve seen much better for a quarter the cost. “Out of Africa” was a huge disappointment, the premise I read on entering led me to expect to see a story about the origin and migration of humanity. This consisted of one exhibit of one specimen and on small wall. The rest was just random animals. Blah. The show at the planetarium was kind of cool but it’s no wonder Covid is raging here. There is no reason they, as a private entity, cannot enforce a mask mandate in such confined spaces but no, as a result of it only being ‘recommended’ approximately no one anywhere in the entire place was wearing a mask. Too crowded, too noisy, too disorganized, and way too underwhelming for the money.

Super fun for the whole family!! We thought we were taking our son but seriously enjoyed the place. Go to Gocity card and get discounted tickets when you buy 3 SF or more activities.

Great place to visit. The California of Science Academy has so much to do and you are able to see everything in one visit. The aquarium was lovely, but is small. The rainforest exhibit was beautiful. Also they have a botanical garden, where you can do a picnic. Overall experience was amazing!

This was my first time at the academy of science and I was so impressed. My favorite exhibits were the different aquariums and the rainforest. The penguin exhibit was a bit underwhelming and when they advertise sleeping with the penguins I expected more.

Some attractions closed down but great for the kids to learn and explore. Hopefully after covid things will start up again.

Food in cafeteria was somewhat ok, which isn't surprising. The museum displays and the settings are beautiful. Loved the aquarium and butterfly arboretum. It was interesting. Worth visiting. Great for kids.

Must have an experimental "vaccine" to visit? Or get tested with an unreliable and unsafe (nasal) test? No thanks. Medical apartheid is not a policy I want a state funded organization to utilize.

Loved as a child and now even my Adult Children love coming Here too. Wheelchair friendly. And they can lend you one if needed.

Way fun aquarium. With Covid, it'd be nice if they directed traffic so people weren't traveling in opposite direction while looking at the displays. Perhaps that would reduce exposure to others a bit?

Took baby for his 1st birthday - he had a blast. I was a little lost in the aquarium corridors chasing him and dodging the 5k kids who were on a field trip.

What a great experience! Academy of Sciences and Steinhart Aquarium, a wonderful scientific show. Lunch and snacks can be purchased there as well as parking. A day well spent.

This is the aquarium to see. The rainforest exhibit is amazing, and the depth of the aquarium is breathtaking. Truly a treasure among the aquariums in California.

The place was nice, I thought a better experience than the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The only down side was the parking was expensive and the same for the food at the Cafe.

The California Academy of Sciences is a wonderful place. Beautiful aquarium, living roof, animal exhibits, 4 story bio dome with birds and butterflies. An absolute must see.
