I have to say this tour was the highlight of our trip. Gürkan, our tour guide truly made it the best experience. He is very knowledgeable about the history of wine making in California and the process. We went to 3 beautiful wineries each one unique. By the end of the tour we gained awesome new friendships(Pickles😉). If you want the best experience this is definitely where you want to reserve your tour.

We had the most fun learning about San Francisco! Sam did a great job entertaining and teaching us about this diverse and beautiful city. We really enjoyed the ‘60’s tunes as well as the music that she played as we explored the city. I’ve been to San Francisco before and this is definitely the way to enjoy your time in San Francisco. I recommend this over a big bus any day! It’s almost like having personal tour of the city and everything it has to offer. We will definitely come back and explore different parts of the city now that we know it better!

What an awesome tour in a magenta VW bus whose color and eyelashes happened to match me! Haha! Honestly, it was a great tour where we hit just about every spot I wanted to see, it only took two hours, and we had an amazing guide. Armando is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the city, but about everything in general! He speaks so many different languages that he was even speaking Dutch to the family from the Netherlands that was on the bus. I was in town for business by myself and had a few hours to kill before my flight so I booked this tour last minute. I highly recommend this tour to anyone! Oh, and the give you a local beer or wine to drink at the second stop on the tour.

This tour was highly recommended to us and it definitely was worth it. It was my second time in San Fran but my mums first so we thought this was the best way to see all the amazing sites the city has to offer. Armando was our tour guide and was no short of amazing. He was full of information and fun facts about anything and everything. We learnt so much about the city, even things we wouldn’t have even considered. He also recommended some great places to eat and visit with his honest opinions. We appreciated how he really went out of his way to get to know everyone and not just show up and do the bare minimum like a lot of tour companies. I can not recommend this tour enough.

Really, really incredible experience. 3 couple took the 3 hour tour and had an amazing time. On time pick up with a great guide. Jim knew the history of the city and brought us to all the different neighborhoods. Beautiful views were seen as we drove thru the city in a vintage VW bus, so much fun! If you want to see the city, learn some history and just have a fun time I highly recommend Painted Ladies Tours.

We had Armando as our tour guide on September 1st. The way he recalled names of his guests and the information they shared with the group was quite impressive, and it made the tour more personal and enjoyable. He is a wealth of knowledge about San Francisco and he is an overall delight. We saw the perfect amount of San Francisco highlights and Armando was helpful with lunch suggestions for after the tour. I would highly recommend The Painted Ladies Tour Company and Armando to anyone visiting the area.

Had a great time heading to Sonoma Valley with Jim on the wine tour. Really loved Poppy, our ride, as well. Jim was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and made everyone feel included. He had great enthusiasm for the history of the region, the wineries and gave us loads of food recommendations: so many we won’t possibly be able to try them all on our trip! The choice of wineries was great as well: particular highlights were the 2021 Chardonnay at Roche Winery and checking out the oak barrels at the Deerfield Ranch wine cave. Couldn’t recommend this enough if you’re in San Francisco!

If you find yourself planning a trip to SF and want to see the city in a fun way, you absolutely must book a tour with the Painted Ladies! Our tour guide, Sam, was absolutely excellent- full of energy, a wealth of knowledge on the city, and overall so much fun. My family was able to see many of the neighborhoods, tourist attractions like the Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard Street, as well as smaller neat parks and historic sites. Especially awesome is the fact that you’re riding around in a fuchsia VW bus which people passing by will inevitably snap pictures of. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Can’t recommend them enough. We had a blast on our tour and our tour guide kept us delighted by his humor and wealth of information. Great way to see all the big sites without having to walk all of San Francisco. Can’t wait to book again. Please remember to tip your tour guide!

What a great way to see the city. Our driver Armondo, was polite, courteous and very informative. Told us a lot of history of the city, showed us a lot of attractions and gave out information on dining places and various places of interest. Kept passengers engaged during the whole trip. Offered to take pictures of occupants at various stops. Worth the money. And don't forget to tip your driver.

A great tour of some cool wineries with our great tour guide Caio! What better way to see the Sanoma Valley than in an old VW van! We stopped for mimosas and pics at the Golden Gate Bridge, stopped for a great lunch at one of the wineries. Would highly recommend!

This was the best tour I’ve ever been on. Caio was our guide, in the cutest yellow VW, Daisy. He was so knowledgeable and shared so much history of the city with us. We had a private tour, so he took us to all the spots we wanted to see, and had wonderful suggestions for other stops to fill the time. He was so patient and so kind with our group. I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting SF. If we come back, we will absolutely do it again.

I am so glad my husband found this Sonoma Wine Country Tour! Pick up was right outside out hotel. Gürkan was an absolue joy and very knowledgable about the area and the specific wines/vineyards. Our small group (seven people) was the perfect size to interact with others without feeling overwhelmed. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Highly recommend. Had a great time with a van full of ladies I didn’t know prior to today! Did the winery tour with Jim as our guide. Great guy, lots of fun. I originally booked a large bus tour, then saw this and switched. So glad I did . Mimosas to start, 3 wineries, good company and just a good time. I’d consider another tour with Painted Ladies.

Great experience! Tour was fun, informative, entertaining, and covered a large portion of the city. This was my first visit to San Francisco and felt like via this tour I got a great introduction to the city. Our guide Josh was phenomenal! He was so friendly, had a good sense of humor, and great facts to share. Appreciated the time to get out at certain stops and help taking photos (especially since I was traveling solo). Traveling by VW bus made the experience even more unique and memorable. Seemed kinda pricey, but ended up being well worth it. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour! Did the the San Francisco City Tour and our driver, Kai, was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and super fun! Riding around in a little VW van with one other family and another solo traveler was the perfect way to see the city for the first time. He drove us through all the diverse neighborhoods, pointing out landmarks and giving suggestions. Everyone was smiling and laughing the whole time and I highly recommend for anyone, whether traveling solo or as a family!

What a fabulous trip!!! Every moment of our wine tour was so relaxing and fun. Our guide, Cousin Al, took care of us all day. The wineries we visited were so inviting. It felt great to arrive and find reserved seating waiting for us. Deerfield is a must visit! The cave tasting is to die for! VJB was also wonderful. A highlight was the accordion player and Italian serenade. We can't wait to do another tour.

Our trip around in the little yellow VW was perfect! It was fun to have people stop and take photos of us! But the most fun came from an informative journey around the city that was more personal than hearing a prerecorded version of a tour. Armando was a great guide, so knowledge about everything and everywhere, with extra tips of where to visit & eat, and he showed interest in every passenger too. 100% recommend this way of travelling and exploring the city!

Booked this tour after a long week of work so I wouldn't have to plan my own tour. Totally wowed by the experience! My guide Armando was awesome & navigated with ease without missing a beat.
