Not a family friendly attraction. This is where one goes to sell ones stolen wares to the various fences. Or goes to buy drugs in the open drug market. But hey, I'm not hating. This is the downtown center of a major US city and if you want a real taste of the highs and lows of true urban living, you're sure to find an educating experience here 24/7.

This is the coolest most interesting place to see. The U.N. Building is cool but the grand open courtyard around it is host to many of exciting things. Some of these things you might not agree with, but to see how much diversity, and human interaction go on here is great. Just go there and sit and watch. Entertaining very much so.

I was publicly attacked physically, verbally and was sprayed with an aerosol spray! Nobody did or said anything!!! I was followed up thru the tenderloin and I was truly scared. I called a friend to come meet me and walk with me, he protected me. But why don't we all try and take care of each other ....

Very colorful people. Fences. Unfortunately, they are cheapskapes. Cheapskates?? From what I hear, you're better off winning more at Mission & ??th (the following BART stop coming from the east bay) but don't take MY word for it!!!!🤐

This is a "locals only" kind of place. Typically people won't bother you . It's wise to stay vigilant. Don't wear open-toed shoes

Was here for the St. Patrick's day parade and thoroughly enjoyed seeing people participate in public activities in the City again.

Funny this is listed as a shopping mall, cause it's not really, but then again it kinda is if you're looking for great deals on all sorts of stuff that's most likely stolen and funding the seller's addiction, and there's the Chinese ladies selling Denim (German Brand) Cigarettes for 50 cents each/$4.00 a pack. Thursdays and Fridays there are legit seller's selling jewelry, Bluetooth speakers, African Carved Masks, Tibetan Artifacts, and various other items. Wednesdays & Sundays is the Farmers Market. And there is a 24 hour restroom here (usually a line). Also the location of the Tenderloin Linkage Center which is a place where addicts can go do their drugs under supervision by people that will assist in case of overdose.

It's a really great farmers market and they have discounts for instance if you are using certain types of cards for payment including snap they will give you double the amount of purchase power so if you spend $5 on snap they'll actually give you $10 and coupons to spend with the for the food so for five bucks you get $10 worth of food the they have security there all the time and they're they're intensive and then the police are very close by on the corners of of the block also they monitor throughout the market itself not harassing but just to make sure that there's less of a chance of conflict ...I've never seen any..... As far as I know it's open 2 days a week on Wednesdays and Sundays but during the holiday season it may increase some really not sure but it's a good experience . .... prepared food also

UN plaza is getting cleaner and safer every day, there are now park rangers stationed there as opposed to police officers, which feels like a better use of resources honestly. Its still bustling and busy, but there isn't as much crowding due to impromptu flea markets or that type of activity with all the rangers keeping it clear. The bathroom there experiences some downtime due to high traffic, but that seems to be improving as well.

Every Sunday is the farmers market with outstanding produce and fruits and lots of vendors. However missing is the popcorn 🍿 vendor.

Great place to see the city center. Farmers market on Sundays 🤗

Iconic U.N. Plaza is, despite the broken bottles and trash, the heart of the City. It's almost sad that it's necessary for it to be locked up because residents of the TL could come here to read, play music and games or just talk.

Great place and diverse in people. Spots for the children to go and grass for the dog to play. Parking down below the park it's probably paid parking I've never been down there. One space toilet there usually open late too with an attendant.

This is the new fitness court that the city kicked the farmer's market out for. Hope it serves it's best purpose otherwise the farmer's market removal goes pointless. Hopefully folks see this and make it worth it enough that the city actually protects the asset of it instead of letting it go.

I really like UN plaza it's a good place for farmers market every now and then there's live music for free a little dog park was recently added and there's a church that is held there every Wednesday and Sunday if you're into that kind of thing and you can also buy stolen products for reduced prices there all day every day.😁

For my first time it was extremely fun I would just say no matter what time of the day seemed extremely crowded but that's given. Not complaining just a side note. But overall a beautiful view and some street performances added a nice mix!

Farmers market comes here and there's a bathroom out there but mostly long lines to use it. Not too bad but lots of underground activities going on near here

Very fast pased you can come there and buy almost anything you can imagine for half the price or less but be careful if your not from the area I wouldn't recommend not really your family friendly type place get in and get out if you know what your doing

We also arrived at the parking lot at 10am since stores open at that time. It was so much better than when we left at 1pm after lunch because it was less crowded, and it was easier to take photos of our son and let him roam more freely. We were also lucky that Tulipmania just started, so we enjoyed all the beautiful tulips and other spring flowers that they had on display. The sea lions were also out to sunbathe, so my son enjoyed that until the cold wind started to bother him. If you are a fan of flowers, go check it out before it ends.

My family went to UN Plaza to walk around. We had a hard time trying to find the sea lions, but it was very fun. Many stores and restaurants. Also very busy

Well what can you say about a restaurant that offers such unique food that is also so delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. The aroma of fresh olive oil hits your nostrils as you walk in the door calling your taste buds to attention. The wine list was extensive and even though we didn't have a bottle, the selection of wines by the glass was excellent. We shared everything and were both full and happy at the end of our meal. We tried the special flatbread, anchovies with oranges and arugula, along with the soup and amazing prawns. We topped it off with three little scoops of gelato: marsala/raisin, chocolate hazelnut, and goat cheese fig. Who'd of thought goat cheese could make such an amazing gelato. It was a devine dinner and a place we would heartily recommend.

This place hosts the farmers market on Sunday and Wednesday which is the best. Seasonal produce at its peak sold by the people that grow them for less then supermarkets. But any other day I would avoid this area. It's a hotspot for drugsdealers and people that give the homeless a bad reputation.

A wonderful U.S landmark and public square since the 1950's. Has been a visual and an avid point for vocal demonstrations and protests. Also, the preamble to the UN Charter is embedded in the concrete and brinks leading up to City Hall. (Civic Center Park). I attend the weekly outdoor Church service at UN Plaza through the San Francisco Night Ministry. The services are every Sunday at 2pm, rain or shine! We are located in UN Plaza, on McAllister and Leavenworth which is also near the UN dog park

Beautiful architecture and world-class shopping. The only drawback is too many San Franciscans.

  • 4/5 Jasmine Rose H. 1 year ago on Google
One of the great things about San Francisco is that we are blessed with Farmers markets of which this is one. Different times of the year we are so lucky that there are different special products like different types of fresh fruits/veggies, fresh juices, nuts /dried fruits, pickles and relishes. If you ever get a opportunity to go please do experience one of these adventures!
