After
four
years
of
living
at
NEMA,
I
feel
compelled
to
write
a
review
of
this
fantastic
building.
I
moved
to
SF
four
years
ago,
and
this
being
my
first
experience
living
in
an
apartment
in
the
city,
I
can't
say
that
I've
ever
had
a
better
experience
anywhere.
First
off,
the
building
is
BEAUTIFUL.
The
interiors
are
modern,
beautifully
designed,
and
always
kept
impeccable
(and
it
smells
great
-
I
want
to
know
who
provides
the
scents
used
in
the
common
spaces).
The
building
has
every
amenity
that
a
busy
San
Franciscan
could
want
-
24-hour
concierge/security,
valet,
a
killer
great
room
on
the
3rd
floor,
incredible
views
from
the
rooftop
sun
deck,
and
an
11th
floor
urban
park
with
BBQs
(my
only
complaint
about
the
building
-
the
park
is
almost
too
windy
to
use,
but
they've
attempted
to
address
the
issue
by
adding
wind
guards).
Packages
are
delivered
INSIDE
YOUR
APARTMENT
-
both
safe
and
convenient.
Gym
(almost
better
than
the
Fitness
SF
across
the
street),
fully-equipped
offices
(two!),
heated
pool,
great
common
spaces...
what
else
could
you
want?
Repairs/requests
have
ALWAYS
been
addressed
promptly
-
most
within
24
hours
of
my
e-mail.
I've
never
experienced
that
level
of
quality
service,
anywhere.
I've
seen
some
reviews
here
used
as
personal
vendettas
against
the
staff.
Don't
believe
them.
The
staff
is
stellar.
Eric
and
Kim
are
standouts.
And
Don,
I'll
miss
you
most
of
all!
Don
always
greets
me
by
name
(in
an
800-unit
building!)
with
a
big
smile,
and
can
always
recommend
a
great
restaurant
or
night
spot
in
the
neighborhood
to
try
out.
As
for
the
neighborhood...
well,
it
is
transitional.
SF
has
a
horrible
homeless
issue,
and
the
building
is
situated
between
two
centers
of
the
problem,
the
Tenderloin
and
SOMA.
But
I
walk
to
my
gym
and
other
places
without
problem
during
the
day
(okay,
I'm
a
big
guy),
but
at
night
I'd
advise
taking
an
Uber.
But
as
the
building
is
on
the
MUNI
and
BART
lines,
you
can
get
anywhere
in
the
Bay
quickly.
And
finally,
the
rent.
Yes,
NEMA
is
more
expensive
than
the
studio
that
you
shared
a
futon
with
in
college.
It's
a
LUXURY
building,
with
LUXURY
features
and
a
price
that
is
somewhat
higher
than
the
city
average.
But
not
that
much
higher.
And
what
you
get
for
that
difference
is
well
worth
what
you
pay
-
if
not
more.
I'll
miss
you,
NEMA.
Thanks
for
an
incredible
four
years
in
my
new
hometown.
NOTE:
This
is
not
a
paid
review,
nor
have
I
received
any
type
of
compensation.
