A charming shop tucked away with a large cheese + meat selection and even larger wine selection. Everything was delicious! The husband and wife duo were very sweet and we had a lovely time. She made sure we had a taste of the wines that we had chosen before given us a generous pour. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.

This place is a neighborhood jewel! They have wonderful sandwiches, cheeses, wines, etc... The back patio is so charming and original. Unfortunately, there are not many places left in San Francisco with this kind of old world charm. Highly recommended!

Very cute family run business. They have generous pours, and a cheese / wine room! Prices are extremely fair, and there is a cute patio in the back with heat lamps. We always pick a bottle and some cheeses, and order the charcuterie board.

This place is awesome, such a hidden gem! I almost don’t want to write a review to keep it secret but they deserve it! Ring the bell speakeasy style to get in, small little one alleyway store with affordable local artisan and imported goods like snacks, spices, gelato, bread, cheese, wine. Little courtyard in the back with 4 or so small tables (dog friendly!) where you can sit and wine taste a set of wines or buy a bottle from their impressive selection to enjoy at retail price. They do cheese plates and some other small pairing plates, she also has a great selection of cheeses and is extremely knowledgeable about what pairs well together. They have a walk in cooler where you can see the champagnes and other cooled wines, as well as cheese selection. She’s been there for 20+ years and is very friendly! Family run business looks like. Would highly recommend this really cool spot.

Very nice owner, very helpful. Great cheese and wine selection. Good place to go if you are planning a picnic or a house party with a charcuterie plate!

Still my favorite secret HV patio for lunch with a vinho. Shirley has always been the best, most friendly and most accomodating in only the way a small business owner can be... support and treasure these holdouts, because our city does not. Cheese cave, imported delicacies, and of course a wide selection of wines. Still going strong.. NOTE: IT MAY LOOK CLOSED BUT RING THE BELL!! Unfortunately these days the levels of random crime and vandalism require bars and wire where there would otherwise be open doors and sunny windows.

A gem I went to San Francisco for 5 days and I was craving for a good charcuterie. Went to this place which is not really in the touristic area and WOW! What a place! You can choose your cheeses and meats and your charcuterie board is made fresh in the moment and it has a big variety! Shirley is the owner and she’s always there! She’s so helpful and friendly, the great meal we had was mostly because of her. I went to her place once and after that went again the next day cause the food and environment were so good. Definetely would recommend this place ❤️ Cant wait to go again to San Francisco just to go eat a good charcuterie with good people!

17 Jun 23 . Went back again, and as always, the service, wine, and cheese were top-notch. Get a slice of the pate, It was perfect with warm bread. Great ambiance and lovely people. It's a must top for me every time I visit san francisco. 18 Feb 23. Had a wonderful afternoon with great wine and cheese. The place is very cute. You can have a snack on the patio outback or buy some bottles to take home. The owner is very attentive and has great recommendations. I'm sad it took me so long to find this hidden gem.

Planning a trip to Napa this summer so went to this place to learn more about wines. Shirley who runs the place is so friendly and helpful she conducts winetasting parties on Friday night. There is also a olive oil refill policy that you should check out Have to admit though that the cheese is what makes me come back every week! Gouda truffle cheese-is my hands down favorite !

Truly a hidden gem in this city! With an unassuming small door, ringing the doorbell will show you down the long cooridor stacked with an incredible variety of wine, leading you to a secret outdoor sanctuary in the back. The charcuterie and cheese plates are dazzling and delectable. Shirley and her husband are delightful, treating every guest as family. We love it!

Great selection but you have to do the wine tasting in the back. No pretense. Just people who like good wine and cheese and treat you like a friend that they want to share their best stuff with

Unbelievably good sandwiches. I can’t say why they are so good. But they are. So far I’ve tried the Cuban and southwest. But my coworkers say the rest are good too.

Absolutely fantastic! You can shop for wine and cheese, or sip wine with a cheese plate or charcuterie board with a date or friends in the back patio. Pricing is fair and. The owners provide great friendly service.

Lovely place for bites and to host an intimate gathering with some friends. Shirley is a great hostess and super kind, definitely coming back for wine/ tea and cheese!

Food and atmosphere are wonderful. Disappointed only the house wine was available by the glass and Pinot Noir and red blend were not very good. Impressive variety of wines, but can only be purchased by the bottle. Suggestion is to offer flights of wine so an informed decision can be made to purchase a bottle of wine.

We had a truly amazing night at Shirley’s wine & cheese tasting 🧀🍇 With a group of 15 people, we enjoyed 4 glasses of wine and a lot of cheeses, charcuterie, French rillettes, raclette - all so delicious! The service by Shirley was fantastic, she is so enthusiastic and kind. We even got a few extra bottles to drink at the end of the evening. I can’t wait to come back her asap!
