😠 If you want to be treated with dignity, if you want your time to be valued, this is not the pace to go! The receptionists are so rude, cold, and didn't even bother calling me to cancel my appointment when the doctor couldn't make it. I showed up to my appointment 10 mins early and have been informed... Dr Chu was great, but the reception desk... they managed to waste so much of my time. The main receptionist would get my insurance details wrong, tried handing me a different patient’s insurance card, forgot to tell me about a test the doctor ordered, didn’t reply to any of my appointment requests that I left in voicemail. Also I don’t understand why they do not communicate in anything other than phone calls. No appointment reminders over email or text, no way to access your test results online, you HAVE to get on a 1:1 phone call with the doctor herself. I would avoid this place just so I don’t have to deal with the receptionist again.

If you want to be treated with dignity, if you want your time to be valued, this is not the pace to go! The receptionists are so rude, cold, and didn't even bother calling me to cancel my appointment when the doctor couldn't make it. I showed up to my appointment 10 mins early and have been informed that the doctor won't be able to see me due to some other engagement! They didn't apologize or provide an alternative, they were just cold and rude and didn't even take the time to acknowledge that I took time off work and that they could have just called or left a message so I don't have to show up to an appointment that they never intended to honor. I never met the doctor (Dr. Chun) but based on the way her staff treats their patients, I wouldn't reschedule time in their office.

My experience at the clinic feels mixed I am just getting to know my doctor and did not realize that my recent pregnancy would be nonviable. The whole experience was really emotional and upsetting. My first office visit with Dr. Shu made me feel uncomfortable because she performed a pap smear while I was pregnant and it made me worry it caused my nonviable pregnancy. It was my first ever pregnancy and all I wanted was to have a good experience. I am an emotionally sensitive person due to being ADHD and having anxiety. I was made fun of for not liking how I felt during a pap smear and at the time I had an ingrown hair that was scabbed over that she cultured. Inter-culturally the office is indifferent to other cultures that are not as blunt as the Asian culture. I would have appreciated more sensitivity and empathy for my care. She never ran the tests to let me know and confirm if it was what she accused me of having. She accused me of having an STD without testing for it and made me really upset because it was not true. The ingrown hair healed after the culture and the office visit made me feel sour. Before the pap smear my baby was deemed normal and we could slightly see a shadow of the heart. After the pap smear my baby stopped growing and before I knew this happened I had another appointment in 2 weeks with Dr. Chun. Dr. Chun was very professional and understanding about my concerns and sadly I had to have 3 ultrasounds that day to confirm. I was sent to Sutter Health to later discover that my unborn baby never grew to the appropriate size or formed to a fetus. My husband and I had to hold back tears driving home because we really wanted this baby. The ultrasound tech at Sutter told me I would have to have a D and C because my pregnancy is not healthy and I had to wait to hear back from my doctor the following day. The following day the Doctor called me and told me I had to schedule the D and C and gave me the option of doing it in the office or at the hospital under surgery. Due to the procedure being so invasive I choose the hospital to feel less anxiety about the unplanned abortion. I later got called back by their secretary she was trying to push me to make a choice with my body I did not want to make. She was trying to reassure me that going to their office for a surgical abortion was the best when they could not use anesthesia to put me asleep to make it more peaceful and with less anxiety. I let her know I did not want to awake for the procedure and that this whole experience has been overly upsetting. She rudely commented that it was best to do it in the office in her opinion due to the hospital requiring covid testing and they could give me anti anxiety meds and only anesthesia to make me numb. She was trying to push me to do what she wanted and had to have my husband call the office in order to be scheduled to do my surgery in the hospital. I should not have had this whole run around and my decisions should have been respected. I would give a better review if the customer service was more satisfactory and if I am issued an apology for how I was treated by the Administrator. I know her position has high stress and a lot of other tasks to have prioritized. My doctor was really good and sympathetic of my situation. It is unfortunate that I can not give a higher review due to the customer service experience. The secretary making my experience more anxiety ridden and upsetting. I appreciate everything the office is doing for me to make this process as peaceful as possible. I really hope in the future that I can have the chance to have a healthy pregnancy and share my baby with the office. I am uncertain about if I want to stay in the clinic or not due to my recent loss and recent experience that was upsetting with the Receptionist. I really enjoyed the doctor and hope that I can meet with her to discuss options of trying to get pregnant again once I am healed from my Blighted Ovum. It is not easy to become pregnant with PCOS and I want to have another opportunity to be pregnant.

Dr. Chun has been working there since both my daughter and son were born. She is attentive and professional and is very knowledgeable and caring towards her patients as our health needs evolve throughout the years.

My daughter and I have been going to Dr. chun for at least ten years. She is one of the most sympathetic, kind and gentle people I have ever met. We live overseas, daughter in Europe and I in China and although I go to the best hospital in Shanghai, the service and care does not compare to Dr. Chun. My daughter insists on returning to SF to see Dr. Chun for her annual check. The staff at the SF Women's Healthcare is also extremely informative, and caring. The most important aspect which differentiates this from others is the focus and understanding of women's needs, not just medically but the sensitivity with which they approach all aspects of the visit.

Dr Chu is friendly and personable. I saw her for the first time, but she made me feel at ease right away. She is very knowledgeable and she gives sound advice without being condescending. She is a keeper!

Everyone in the office was very attentive and nice. Dr. Chu was very thoughtful in discussing my concerns and definitely wanted to ensure a thorough treatment to ensure that everything is okay. I wish I’d come in to see her sooner during my time in San Francisco, but I felt more at ease during our brief interaction.

👍👍 For being an app, Circle Medical works wonderfully. There are of course limitations to it being an app - everything has to be done through the app, so if you're someone who gets frustrated by that, it isn't for you. That aside, as someone who has a unique health insurance situation, Circle Medical i...

😠 Great for medical care, and you'll need it. Because their billing system is unable to get things straight. This means you'll get massive bills that should have gone to your insurance company. Of course, UCSF billing won't have taken the time to actually talk to your insurance company to understand w...
