I gave 1 star for a reason - the billing here is a big disaster, not to mention other problems. For sure, clinics will ask you to contact the billing department via mobile or email. Just be ready that either your call will never be picked or you won’t get your response online within two months. I had a visit on May 17 when the front desk guy checked my insurance and told me I only needed to pay my copay. Three months later I got this email saying my insurance did not cooperate with Carbon anymore so I had to pay my own bill in three days. What a “great” situation: my phone call couldn’t get through, my email was not responded and I had to deal with Carbon, insurance and my credit card issuer. If you wish to add more troubles to your life, choose Carbon. You will never be disappointed.

The nurse who helped me in SF at Fox Plaza was great. I waited 50 minutes after my appointment time because they were so busy. The nurse was apologetic, fast, and professional.

No one wants to go on vacation and get COVID, but it happened to us. The staff at Carbon Health were super professional, compassionate and friendly. Was able to get a Paxlovid prescription. Hopefully, it will be effective and we’ll be able to travel home as scheduled. Really excellent urgent care.

Super bad experience with this Fox Plaza Carbon Health! The doctor is very nice, but the medical assistance (especially the front desk female assistant) is super bad! She didn’t even want to help me at all! The doctor asked me to schedule a follow-up appointment at the front desk, but she didn’t even want to help me schedule it. She gave me a bad face and just wanted to kick me out. I don’t appreciate this kind of attitude in the medical industry! This is the worst clinic I've ever tried! I DON'T recommend this Fox Plaza Carbon Health!

Everything during my visit was fine until I got a call back about my blood test results. I missed the call so called back the front desk and asked what this call might be about as I was a little worried since this has never happened before. The lady at the front desk snapped at me when I asked her to help me figure out why I got a call and then hung up on me. Not recommending this branch!

I had a great experience at Carbon Health. I saw PA Vanessa Hashim and she was very informative and really gave me assurance that we would figure out the meaning of my symptoms and provide the proper care.

Wonderful and caring people. Unfortunately very inefficient and ineffective . 3 hours after my appointment, the physician has yet to file a prescription and the most I've been able to get from folks there is a confident assurance that it will be filed at SOME point- possibly before the day is done, possibly after the weekend... For someone like myself who made an appointment because I'm suffering from a large amount of pain, you can imagine how this is not really very effective. Everyone was very sympathetic though and hoped that I got better soon for what it's worth lol

I had a coworker diagnosed with Covid. Carbon Health U.C. saw me right away. Download the app folks, makes everything super easy. Had the negative results sent by the app in an hour. The DNA test is slower than the antibody test but much more accurate and reliable! Now I have my Primary Care Physician here, got an appointment QUICK!

Incorrect diagnosis, responded to my urgency by telling me there’s nothing to worry about, dissuaded me from pursuing more urgent action. After getting a second opinion from a specialist, it turns out my medical issue is very time sensitive and I wasted precious days doing nothing because my carbon health doctor made mistakes. I will never ever use Carbon Health again. Ever.

Horrible, horrible customer service. Specifically manager Diana Sexton in San Francisco. Have emailed them 3 times and received no reply. They screwed up- and I was promised no bill for the fix it appointment and have been billed. They are a for profit company who will try to get you to do whatever your insurance covers. And when they screw up, apparently no one works their customer service department. Stay away unless it is just for urgent care.

Went in for a terrible sore throat and they were very thorough and answered all my concerns and helped me get relief as soon as possible. The office was clean and the staff were pleasant. Now if the pharmacy across the street was as prompt and helpful I would be all set!

One of the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in multiple states and never had such a weird, annoying experience. Places like this is why people are discouraged, navigating the healthcare system and end up harming themselves because it’s a barrier to Health care and resources. I waited months for my appointment and they told me they can’t see me because my insurance card doesn’t have my doctors name on it. I was not informed of this prior to my appointment. I’ve worked for CIGNA in the past, and Medi-Cal and I’ve never heard of that policy before. Also they say every where in the office they support LGBTQ people, but my first time there I asked the nurse about that and he told me they never heard of LGBTQ resources come out of that location. I guess it’s just there for show. I don’t know why I came back, because the first time I went there it took days for them to fill my prescription. I want to give 0 stars because never again.

Very nice clinic, clean, modern and doctor and assistants very helpful and efficient . I went walk in and I did not have to wait long, very pleased.

Terrible after care service, I came in to clean my ears, i could hear perfectly the way it was, just wanting to clean it up. They clean it for me nicely but once I'm home, I could hear less on one of my ear. I came back the next day and the receptionist said it should resolve on it own. Who to how better than yourself if it’s getting better or not. I came out in worse condition than when i got in!!!!! I don’t live around here and they told me to come back later or come some other day. They don't even care if I have to skip work to fix the problem I didn't cause.

This was my first time coming to this clinic. I enjoyed my experience with them. They were very professional. And they seemed like they really cared. I’m extremely happy with the care I got

The doctor told me more about my lungs than my regular doctor! Very informative, so appreciated. Short wait. Nice helper too. Glad I went there. Assured.

Dr. Hand is a NIGHTMARE. When the nurse opened the door to introduce him, he had just shoved a handful of food into his mouth..he looked at me while chewing and put mask over his face quickly, but unfortunately did not fully disguise the embarrassment. I came in with every sign of bronchitis and he refused to prescribe me antibiotics, yet prescribed 20 10mg steroids to be taken 4/day for 5 days (every person who knows anything at all about steroids knows they should be taking them a tapering consumption pattern, and that they LOWER YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM so don’t prescribe the two together often, and look into patient backdrop consciously

I recently visited this urgent care while battling the flu, and I must say, the care I received was excellent. The team made me feel comfortable, the wait was brief, and they treated me with respect. A truly nice group of people. Their Nursing assistance was phenomenal. What stood out were the thoughtful gestures like offering water and adjusting my chair for comfort during treatment, which made a significant difference when I was feeling terrible. The thorough examination by Katie, NP, clear communication, and these considerate touches further solidified my positive experience. It’s evident that they go the extra mile for their patients, making the overall service exceptional. Highly recommend this urgent care for their outstanding care and attention to detail.

Carbon health actually cares about its patients. I had to go to four different places to get seen in part because places have closed in San Francisco but more so for the right care. They’ve been very attentive and thorough throughout my time with them.

Carbon Heath has got everything! The staff are super nice and you feel everybody there really cares about why you’re there. Not only that , they do in office blood work , make prescriptions (at a convenient pick up location ) and set me up with an X-ray too all in 1 day and I was a walk-in . I currently have health care with John Muir but I now live in SF. Getting an appointment with my primary take months and there are long lines for lab work and the lab is another Uber ride.I see now Carbon offers primary care physicians too. I’m 60 and going to look into that. Quality health care when you need it! Amazing!

Dear Carbon Health Management Team, I am a public school teacher (with an autoimmune disease) which at times can be an unfortunate combination. Chris at your front desk at your Carbon Health Urgent Care San Francisco - Civic Center location was the most exceptional front desk person I have interacted with in any medical setting in my life. Having just recovered from covid, and experiencing the all to familiar strep throat signs I knew I needed to get antibiotics and be seen. I was near tears as each PAMF location I called said they were unable to see me, and Chris said they would try to squeeze me in. Then, when I got home I realized I had accidentally given the wrong Walgreens address and wanted to switch it to make sure I got my antibiotics tonight as my throat is so painful. He called two pharmacies for me to ensure I got my prescription tonight. Given it’s ten minutes before closing as I write this, and just got off the phone, many in his position would likely not go above and beyond just to make sure I got my antibiotics tonight. They are beyond great! Very efficient staff and very nice. The office is very clean. It’s so much better than sitting at urgent care hospital for 7 hours. I was in & out. If you don’t have insurance, no problem. Just pay out of pocket. They accept debit card payment.

I went to carbon health, urgent care close to market and 10th St. Even though I was a walk in I was taken care of efficiently and in a timely manner. The nurse practitioner whose name is Katie. I think, was very thorough and I did not feel rushed by her. I recommend carbon health to anyone needing urgent care.

I was treated professionally and courteously, the booster shot that I had was not painful. Glad that I received bivalent vaccine that is considered most effective for Covid 19 variants.

The staff were helpful, efficient, and sincere. I came in for a COVID booster, and only waited about 5mins from my scheduled appt. Also, when I knew I was running late I was able to easily push the appointment back.

This was an easy, no hassle trip to the doctor. The check-in system was streamlined and I believe it made the appointment go very smoothly. Being on vacation from Virginia, I had no idea where to go when I needed urgent care, so I’m glad we found carbon health.

I love the idea that you can go to this place, without having medical insurance. They serve you quickly, all you have to do is make an appointment early so you can choose the time that best suits you.
