Whoa this new park is incredible. They’ve been working on this area for a long time. I used to live down the street and run down the steps by the old reservoir and it was kind of an eye sore. Now it’s an amazing park with incredible views, you can see Marin and East Bay! There’s also a long winding path to get to the second level of the park which is beautiful and wheel chair accessible. Dog park on the first level was a really nice addition!

The Russian Hill neighborhood offers incredible panoramic views of the AMAZING city of San Francisco. It is also the area where the THE CROOKEDEST STREET IN THE WORLD is; really just a section of Lombard Street (which I have also reviewed). If you’re driving, you may have to look carefully for a spot. But you just might be able to hop out of your car just long enough to take some amazing photos. The cable car also runs up Hyde Street to that area (see pictures). HEADS UP: If you plan on taking a tour bus. Tour buses and vans with more than 8 people are banned from driving near the area. So you will not be able to see it from the bus. However, two companies offer Hop-On/Hop-Off service. My wife and I have done both and feel the Big-B Tour was much better overall (number of buses, sound quality, bus quality, etc.) than the Deluxe Tour.

Immaculate park with great views, a picnic area, a children's playground, dog play area, and a variety of plant species. This reservoir-turned-park (according to the signs throughout it) spans about a block. It can be accessed through four entrances (the dog play area has separate gates). The upper Hyde St. entrance provides the best views, in my opinion. There are also restrooms, bike racks, nearby parking, and a community garden (it wasn't open when I was there). Overall, if you're in the area, you should check out this park. If it's your first time, you can easily spend an hour or two just looking at the views.

This park is wonderful to walk around and let the babies be free to explore. Babies including your precious pups. I was fortunate enough to also arrive when a music class was in session and I have to say it was one of the best I’ve seen! The mom who’s name is Roxanne hosts this music class and sings to our babies in 4 languages. Her energy was amazing while tending to her own baby. Was a beautiful day to visit.

One of the best parks in the city. Great place to people watch and relax. Awesome place for dogs. Be careful though, you ll for sure see a coyete. So be cautious of you have a small dog.

I love this park! I live just a few blocks away and am there a couple times a week. Great views of the Bridge and Alcatraz! There is a dog park at the bottom. The upper section of the park is supposed to be leashed dogs only. Most people are rude and don't obey so be ready for dogs barking, running through your picnic and or potentially getting in a dogfight 3 ft from you. All have happened haha! And there are signs literally every 12 feet, oh entitled dog owners. Other than that, great Park!

Absolutely beautiful public space in San Francisco. This historic, now completely modernized public park is built on top of a reservoir. There are amazing views. There is a community food garden. You'll find a dog park at bay Street. The park has a complex network of paths and staircases and ramps. Look for piles of green stone, metamorphic basalt rock, alongside the ramp leading down to Bay street. My only complaint about this park is the ugly 1970s buildings in its backdrop.

Awesome and modern park in the heart of SF. Dog Park down the hill, with beautiful green space and epic kids playground up hill. Great park for the available space that SF has to build these!

Incredible transformation of a city block from a derelict covered reservoir to a fabulous park. Something for everyone, dog park, playground, community garden, picnic areas, lawns. Fabulous views. And - a true SF rarity - public restrooms.

This park is a great example of what makes San Francisco one of the best cities in the world. It's converted an eyesore to a beautiful park for all. Truly amazing.

Beautiful space and views of Alcatraz, Angel Island, & the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day! Somewhat difficult to find parking during those days. Bathroom was actually locked at 8pm when google said they were open. Lots of stairs on one side but seems like there may be a parking lot on the opposite side of the park that is handicap accessible. Access to the park via car is best from either Bay st. or Hyde. Play structures good for older kids, not good for under 5yo.

Love this cute little neighborhood-sized park in North Beach! Amazing 270° views of Golden Gate Bridge and SF! As a local tourist, I’m happy to find the history facts about the old reservoir here that are sprinkled around the park and the elevated walkway. It’s kid-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and much fewer party crowds (at least in Jul 2022). Great amount of space for kids’ playground. I like that the dog park is at a separate lower level - keeps the (un-disciplined) dogs’ droppings away from the seating in the main lawn. Lots of native, drought-resistant plants. My favorite is the Community Garden - must check it out!

francisco is one of my favorite parks in the city! there are 2 dog parks (upper and lower level) with incredible bay views and seating areas throughout. we discovered that this park used to be a water reservoir in 1860!

Great use of space and landscape architecture. Brilliant to use the park as a easy way down the hill from Lombard street to Ghirardelli Square. Great view of San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz.

Best park in the area- great view, very vertical but well designed, and has everything from seating to a kid play area to bathrooms and water to dog areas and a good sized field. Not very loud, I come here to read with a view.

Beautiful location, lots of variety, they have swings, rope course, a dog park, clean restrooms, and amazing views of the Bay. Golden Gate bridge on one side, Bay bridge on the other. Ghirardelli Chocolate only a few blocks away.

Love love love this new park. Made from an old water tank on Russian hill. It has a mini doggie park, separate place for people eating and a new kids playground. Good job SF.great views too and not far from Ghirardelli square (for visitors)

Lovely little park in the middle of the city, close to Lombard street and close to train rail. It is just behind the Ghirardelli street. There are restrooms and you can go with childrens and dogs. Lovely view of the city :)

A beautiful view was my favorite part of this park. I got to enjoy some time with a wonderful person with a great view of Alcatraz (a place I've wanted to visit since I was a kid). We even got to see some interesting wildlife behind the fence. Isn't he a cutie! We didn't get close to him though as I don't think it would be wise to try but getting the chance to see both this guy and that place in beautiful weather was a dream come true. San Francisco really does have it all. I'm so happy I made the move.

Took the stairs coming down from Hyde Street to check out this cool new park. It's pretty clean, looks well-kept and maintained for the short-time it's been open. Drones are allowed, plus this is a recommended droning zone.. so that's cool. There's also public restrooms, which is good to know for emergencies when in the area. There are also lots of dogs and just as many owners exercizing varying levels of caution when letting their dogs roam around; so just keep an eye out and be careful if you're coming with your own dog or kids. All in all, this park is sick! Would definitely love to come here again and hope it stays looking this pristine!

This wonderful new park has a little bit for everyone including your pup! It is a very clean and family friendly park. We used to loved hanging out at Dolores Park, but now with kids this park seems to offer a more comfortable environment. Also very close to Fisherman's Wharf with great views of the Bay and Alcatraz...Check it out!
