Serving dim sum is an art in my opinion, much like sushi craftsmanship. It is delicate, unforgiving and beautiful all wrapped up in rice noodles. Yank Sing is brilliant in all of this while adding a beautiful location and wonderful service. An extensive menu and great drink choices round out the perfect total package.

We came here instead because we didn’t want to wait in line - the storefront seems to be connected to their main kitchen so the items served here (although more limited in selection) are the same quality as what they serve in the restaurant. At over $7 per serving, their har gow shrimp dumplings were truly disappointing. The filling is so dry (see photo) it was hard to enjoy. It was around noon on Saturday too, so it’s not possible that they’ve been sitting there for hours. The siu mai was also not great - there were places where the siu mai wrapper was bunched up (in every siu mai) and was super thick. The only thing that was ok was the sticky rice chicken wrapped in leaves. Even without considering the $$$, Good Mong Kok’s siu mai and shrimp dumplings are much better

This place is not what it's used to be before covid. Came today on 1/13/22 for lunch and was highly disappointed. No more take-outs. Just sit down with limited menu. Ordered noodles and thought I would get noodles with veggies like in any Chinese restaurant. For $14.75 I got a bowl of oily noodles with few string mushrooms and couple of onions. What a rip off!

Yesterday my birthday celebration continued and it rekindled my love for dim sum. Serving dim sum is an art in my opinion, much like sushi craftsmanship. There wasn't much dim sum option for lunch. Shanghai Kurobuta pork dumpling was good. Overall the taste was okay but the portion of food is small compare to the price. Also it's not easy to find a parking nearby.

The food was served incredibly Quickly. We got soup dumplings that were pretty good and better than many others we have eaten. The pork dumplings were fried beautiful and rapidly and were the best I’ve eaten. The rice noodles with pork were fantastic. I loved the fact they had pepper sauce at the table (threw the pic in to show what I mean). Wicked good food.

We put in our orders and the food came out within seconds. They said we wanna beat McDonald's speed... I don't know if it's a good thing 🤷‍♀️

I don't understand the hype. Below average food that tastes like American-Chinese dimsum in the Midwest (which in itself is fine, I mean eat what you want or whatever right, but I abhor American-Chinese cuisine so I would've stayed away had I found out beforehand). The fact that cream cheese wontons are on the menu should've sent shivers down my spine, but I totally missed it. All the fried items that we ordered tasted like reused oil (yes, yes everyone reuses oil but there is a technique to it, so it doesn't taste like reused oil). The siumai had an unconventional texture, almost like that of a fish ball or fake lobster meat and it had a weird aftertaste. The turnip cake, is by far, the worst one I've had in terms of texture and consistency. To make matters worse, it is Cantonese dimsum restaurant that doesn't serve changfen and zhong. I literally saw the shame in the waitress's eyes when she said they didn't serve these items. Every dimsum place in Hong Kong and SE Asia, the US and many other countries I've been to has these items, so is it wrong to assume it's a staple? The chicken feet was good, though, which is probably the only good memory I have of this place apart from the excellent service.

Had dim sum one Sunday, it was amazing. I didn't have a reservation so i had to wait about 10 minutes but it was well worth it. The carts were going around and you can order other items. Really good dim sum.

Egg tart was amazing, cha-xiu bun was soft without fatty chunks, and everything else was all good. A little pricy for dim sum, but for the location You would kind of expect that. 5 star for the food quality and efficient service. The menu was short lacking many classic dim sum dishes.

Wildly popular dim sum restaurant in the financial district with a crazy crowd of diners every day. Regarded as the best dim sum in San Francisco, don’t bother showing up without a booking. The food was good, not great, but better than those in Chinatown. A classy environment with fast, efficient service.

Do you know when like you have eaten so much good food? You realize you didn't take any photos. That's this place. Holy cow, the flavor, the speed and just the overall amazingness that is dim sum. Definitely adopt him someplace. Definitely would recommend you won't go wrong. The soup bows I mean I mean everything there was just so good you can't go wrong with him some but this place yank sing definitely a spot you should check out. I was very impressed. Literally I had one thing left on the table to take a photo of...it was that good!

Every time in SF I eat dim sum. Yank sing is one place I always find myself going back to. Great fresh dim sum. Fast service. Minimal changes each visit. Baked pork buns only on the weekend. Delicious. Good idea to make reservations.

food is fine, better to order fresh instead of taking cold dim sum from the cart. Didn’t taste good when pot sticker or the other fried food were cold. Mango pudding didn’t come with the milk and the pudding was too hard. Such food quality doesn’t match their pricing.

Still a consistent and quality choice for your Dim Sum cravings. Courteous staff greets you promptly and will make recommendations on the best way to order and narrow your choices. The bill can be as big as you want. A true pleasure to eat here.

This place is a Dim sum Cantonese food restaurant. There are no carts though. You order the food and they come out very quickly. Service is excellent and fast. Try all of them it's so good. A definite place for casual dining especially if you want to do brunch.

Loved the vegetarian options and there are quite a few of them. I tried all 4 vegetarian dumplings and they were all good, the savory veg dumpling was my favourite. The scallion cakes were also good and different from the ones I've had elsewhere. Definitely use the chilli paste they have on the side and also the other one (not sure what it's called but it had a wasabi like taste and spice level). The portions are quite small so if you're super hungry you will probably end up spending a lot here. The service is really fast. Apart from the dumplings there were a couple of other vegetarian items that looked interesting too.
