George's Zoo is a great place to stop for a sandwich or a drink on Sloat. The owners/staff are friendly. I love how you can get a breakfast beer before a bike ride in the morning. They have other carbohydrates like coffee, piroshkis and sandwiches. Good times!

Unfortunately, I did not get a sandwich here but they look amazing and the menu is just as amazing as a sandwiches look. I did get a latte here as I had been walking at the zoo across the street for about 4 hours and needed to pick me up. This place is fun, the staff are super nice and inviting, and there is a lot of wonderful snacks here as well. They have huge cookies up at the front if you need a sugar rush as well as an amazing menu of yummy sandwiches, which I plan to try next time!

This place is a neighborhood staple in the Sunset. It’s the type of place where they know all the regulars and welcome all the newbies. The staff is super friendly! The place has solid sandwiches, a good chip selection, a variety of drink options and some good ole’ piroshkis. Can’t go wrong!!

Checked this place out because of all the great reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Plus, there was plenty of free parking right across the street! We’ll be back.

I used to live in the area and I miss George's Zoo SO MUCH! The service is always friendly and they had a lot of fun snacks to browse through while waiting. My favorite sandwiches were RJ's invention, New Yorker and the Reuben, all on Dutch crunch. I'm convinced cannot go wrong with any of their sandwiches though.

Lived in the area my whole life and never even heard about this place, with good reviews too? I had to check it out. I got 2 sandwiches so I didn’t have to make two trips. I never been there before so I was just getting everything they had in the store! The sandwiches were good, 1 pastrami & 1 chicken. I liked the chicken one better. It was good for how hungry I was, but I wasn’t as amazed as I thought they would be. Well the first one (pastrami) wasn’t anything special, but the second one (chicken) was pretty bomb, so I’d go back for that one. They just got a lot of stuff there since it’s a liquor store, it’s a cool place. Right next to the Zoo

Heres the deal. Georges has an awesome presence in SF. Sandwiches are on point and its a great spot. However, the lady you guys got running the register every day now needs to learn how to smile and show some customer service. When a customer comes in and is saying thank you, spending their money at the store while being polite and gracious, at least show an ounce. Just even a pinch, of a friendly encounter. Sadly going to have to retire going here until she gets replaced.

Great sandwiches, friendly staff. They have my favorite hot sauce (El Yucateco) in a ton of different flavors and I love their variety of craft sodas. Just a solid corner store and a good place to stop before going to the beach or zoo.

I really want to like this place but I find myself dissatisfied more often than not. Charged different amounts for the same purchases, most modifications to sandwiches are ignored or forgotten. Nice people, but not a store i'd recommend to a friend.

Delicious sandwiches to-go that are super reasonably priced for SF. About $9 for a quality sandwich 4 blocks from the ocean. Hard to beat! Great vibes here. I got the Lil Puffer on a Dutch Crunch, would recommend!

I love George's Zoo Deli! I really love the tuna sandwich on whole grain, wine selection, awesome product selection , healthy dog treats, very friendly staff, and the fun atmospere. My new "go to deli"!
