I ordered a large (expensive) bag of dog food from Bernal Beasts on June 15th. On June 16th I got an email saying from Jason stating they couldn't fulfill the order until later and asking if I wanted to keep or cancel the order. I wrote back right away saying I needed the dog food sooner and to please cancel the order but I looked forward to being a customer in the future. It has been more than a week since and I have not heard from anyone at Bernal Beasts regarding the cancelled order. I have not received a refund or the dog food either. I have not gotten a response to any of my emails and cannot get answer when I call the shop. When someone takes your money and doesn't provide the products or services, I believe that is called stealing.

Your pet's best friend. This store is so delightful - well stocked with quality products - food, toys, all things pet - plus it's bright, cheery, and clean. Brian was so kind to my mom - who is getting on in years and has vision problems - and walked her through finding just the right food for her finicky emotional support cat. Bernal Beast always has great window decor and just feels like a friend in the neighborhood. Having local small businesses there for you with what you need knits community together. Recommend!

Tried to buy stuff here whenever I could. The staff really cares about animals! And their dog bath in the back is a total lifesaver. Appreciate that they’re part of our Bernal community.

I really enjoy the staff and the whole feel of Bernal Beast. They're super helpful when you need them to be and chill when you just wanna browse. One thing I love about them is how I feel like I can trust their products. It seems like they only stock things that are good for the health of the pet. Prices on most things are reasonable for what they are. I just get a vibe that a lot of love goes into maintaining this place. It really draws me to it!

This place has all the basics for all your pet needs and is one of the only locations in Bernal Heights for pet supplies. I tried going this past weekend to purchase a clicker so that I can train my dog and some dog food. The clicker was $1 more than Pet Food Express and the dog food I was purchasing was $2 more than at Pet Food express. If you live in Bernal Heights, this is a great store to go to because of the convenience factor. If you're trying to save a few dollars, you can go to Pet Food Express.

Online order. Great prices on what I was looking for so I was willing to wait for shipping. Couple items were missing so I contacted Bernal Beast. Fast response and missing items were here in a couple days and I’m in OH. EXCELLENT response time, resolution and customer service. I will definitely order from them again as needs arise. Awesome pet store, they were incredibly helpful in picking out food, treats, and nutrients for my picky puppy and walked me diligently through all of the options, the pros and cons to consider, and what they would choose for their own dogs. Highly recommend this pet store
