I arrived to the hotel around 9:30pm and was in the restaurant at 9:45pm. The ambiance at that time was peaceful and the quiet tarmac view made for a lovely dinner companion. I had a perfect old fashioned cocktail, sushi that rivals the best I’ve ever had, the lobster and crab tagliatelle (which could have made me float out of the chair if it weren’t for gravity) and it was all beautifully presented. The staff was attentive and worked like an organized team of professionals. Five stars all the way. Can’t wait to return.

This place, much like several well to do neighborhoods in San Francisco, scream affluence, but I found both the staff and the views to be the most accessible and friendly they could be for the price point. Wagyu burger, crepes, waffles, french toast, all delicious and quite reasonable too, almost in line with per diem reimbursement rates. ~$30 per person for a "small meal" (which is subjective depending on your item purchased), $50 for a larger meal with dessert. The staff was nice enough to remember our names and the fact we had dined before, even with a new crew in the morning. I also got a "to-go" cup for the soda 🥤 Very cool place, definitely a good treat for yourself or a companion.

UNREAL. Overlooking the tarmac of LAX but not the busy takeoff area, gorgeous decor, quiet ambience. Great for an anniversary, business meal, family gathering, or to dine alone. Dungeness Crab and Lobster Tagliatelle with MISO FREAKING UNI BUTTER. LIKE WUT. Worth it. Also surprisingly a good and fair portion. Also has sushi which seemed overpriced so I didn't get that.... but everything else WOAHHHHH. Also my server was amazing. So kudos to the guy tonight that reminded me my cocktail wasn't empty before taking the glass. Little things like that separate good from great.

Loved it! What I needed after a long flight from Miami. Super fresh food, great service. Not a huge fan of the menus on iPads but the kids thought they were cool. Speaking of that, they had kids menu options which were great. Also their Moscow mule was great and they had a few other specialty cocktails as well. Highly recommend, especially if you have time to kill around SFO or you are staying at the Hyatt.

Great resturant! I love the open view out into the airport. The signature cocktail list only has 3 BUT they are excellent! My favorite was the Desert Sands though they had one with almond-infused whiskey which was also very good. My favorite appetizer was the crudo and the best dessert by far is the chocolate one. Parking is valet and $10 for 3 hours if you get it validated. Atmosphere has a very high class feel and the service was great (we especially enjoyed the floor manager Joy who made it a point to stop by our table and make sure we were comfortable.

A surprisingly good restaurant. We had both dinner and breakfast and both meals were excellent. The pork dumplings are a must and the fried chicken is nicely brined which makes it really juicy. For breakfast, don't be afraid of the Spam fried rice - the spam is really just chunks of ham and has a really great flavor. Wines are reasonably priced as well.

Updated May 2022: Cocktails (long reach old fashioned) and service are excellent as before but the food has gone seriously downhill. Ordered the pork dumplings - Luke warm, greasy and tasteless. Ordered the scallop rice and it was so greasy that the bottom third of the bowl was swimming in oil - pointed it to the waiter who gave the feedback to the kitchen. Temper your expectations as this is not light airy wok kissed fried rice. I would stay away from the food here altogether and just stick to the Cocktails also served at the bar upstairs. Previous review: Unexpectedly good and very conveniently located at the Grand Hyatt SFO, a short AirTrain ride away from the terminals. The wagyu burger with tater tots was outstanding. The Desert Rose cocktail, mezcal based, went well with it. The views are great, if you like planes, which I do!

Located at the Grand Hyatt Hotel at San Francisco International AirPort. Sean was our server. He was friendly and attentive. What we ordered: 1.) Smoked Hamachi Collar. This was the best dish by fair. The fish was cooked to perfection and moist. Great taste with Soy yu sauce. 3.) Wedge Salad my friend said lettuce was fresh and dressing well balanced. 4.) Crispy Pork Belly Bao the hoisin sauce was too sweet and too much is amount. Pork belly was a bit over done. 5.) crab cakes were moist and tasty the sauce that accompanied them was too salty. 6.) Vegetable Tagliatelle was tasty. 7.) Strawberry Panna Cotta was a bit tart. 8.) Cafe Latte was well balanced. Nice decor and elevated on 3rd floor so you can see the airport gates.

The food was delicious. It has a bit of a limited selection for sushi, however the ones they have are well fresh. My ahi tuna poke was the best out of the dishes I tried, which were the lobster bisque (a tad bit too salty) and the pork dumplings (which I liked but not as much as the ahi tuna) The menu is on an iPad. There is a kids menu that is hidden in the "hotel" section that has burgers, chicken strips, spaghetti, and pizza. The decor was upscale and decently quiet. The dinning room is bright with lots of windows and lights. The kitchen is open but you don't hear too much clanking pots and pans.

Nice restaurant at Grand Hyatt SFO with a view of the runway. Amazing staff and food was ok. Best dish was definitely the pork dumplings. The sauce was AMAZING!!

A true hidden gem on the San Francisco Peninsula adjacent to the San Francisco Airport. The menu is well rounded and has something for everyone. The word fusion comes to mind. Currently I am a quest in this hotel but in the future I would also just come here to dine if I were in town. This evening I feasted on fresh oysters from the Pacific Northwest along with amazing entree dish of shrimp and scallop fried rice which was bursting with flavors from the seafood along with a fried egg and some lovely chili oil sauce on the side. The service was very good and they had a nice wine list and I paired some nice rose with the dishes I choose. I recommend the dining here if you are in the area. The hotel is wonderful as well.

Great service. Got new forks, new knives in between appetizers and entrees which is something even a Sacramento Michelin star restaurant didn’t do for us before. Decaf latte tasted so great that we ordered 2.

This restaurant is in the Grand Hyatt at SFO. The food and service was very good! We had the smoked ahi tuna poke, pan seared scallops and the ribeye steak. Would visit this restaurant again.

We flew in late from Maui, just one hour before the Quail and Crane close for the evening. We had enough time to enjoy some amazing cocktails before diving into dinner. I had the kimchi fried rice and my husband had the wagyu burger with duck fat fries, both of which were executed well. Not only was the food and beverage delicious, the chef came and chatted with us as we were seated on the chef's counter. The service and atmosphere were really pleasant. I regret we only stayed one night and flew out early the next morning, otherwise we would be dining there multiple times. We are still thinking about that tasty meal.

Phenomenal restaurant. Everything from the smooth and warm design layout, attentive staff, and beautiful food presentations was well thought out and delivered with surgical attention to detail. Stayed two nights at their eclectic hotel at which time I was able to dine twice at the restaurant, and had the chance to sample multiple courses—all of which were equal to / if not better than high end restaurants downtown. In fact, I enjoyed my meal here more than my meal at saison, which is Michelin star-rated restaurant. I will plan to return to the restaurant regardless of staying at the hotel and / or just passing through the airport. Also, located above the restaurant you’ll find an equally beautiful and well stocked bar if in need of relaxation between layovers.

Stopped overnight at grand Hyatt SFO which is an awesome hotel. Their restaurant, the quail and crane was an excellent option for dinner. Interesting and varied menu of Asian fusion. They offer an amazing burger too. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Make a reservation to avoid waiting.

this is a funny review. We started out a little shaky they misplaced our order but when they figured this out and realized we hadn't eaten they made it so right that the service just has to get five stars. The food was incredible inventive and nummy. The chef actually served us at our table he felt so bad about the Lost order he was so nice. The atmosphere is really cool and sophisticated.

Great food, friendly service. The menu welcomes vegetarian and vegan dinners, a nice surprise. Cocktails were surprisingly good. Definitely exceeded expectations for an airport hotel restaurant. Dining room is beautiful, with original artwork and a view of SFO. I'd gladly return.

Awesome experience at this restaurant. We had a great meal from beginning to end and thanked the chef and staff as we left to let them know how great everything was. We ordered the wedge salad, scallops and salmon and they did not disappoint. ENJOY!!!

I have eaten here four times now and every meal is incredible, and for an airport hotel restaurant, truly unbelievable. The hotel is lovely in every way, miles beyond the alternatives. But the restaurant is one of the reasons I stay here whenever I have a morning flight. Tonight had the lobster miso bisque, and the seared scallops, and I don't think I've had better versions of either in a decade. The scallops and the lobster were as tender as they could ever be and the flavors were amazing. Service and ambience is great too. They have wines by the glass that you normally must pay for a bottle - and a first rate twist on a Paper Plane if you're a cocktail person. Be sure to get a table by the window to watch the planes...
