😠 This place will screw you for your money ! Horrible business etiquette here and it’s a shame to see that after years and years of being open they still choose to do things the wrong way. They don’t care about you or your kids here, they only care about your money and they make that very noticeable.... People often mention money, family, classes, training, jitsu,

This place will screw you for your money ! Horrible business etiquette here and it’s a shame to see that after years and years of being open they still choose to do things the wrong way. They don’t care about you or your kids here, they only care about your money and they make that very noticeable. Look at the other claims people have made against this gym, multiple accounts of good innocent people fighting for their money back when they were mislead into believing they’d receive their money back for a trial period.

I use to train at selva Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along time ago I went there for over a year back when it just turned in to selva bjj it use to be new breed they did the same slime ball stuff to my family regarding payment I got injured rolling here some guy neck cranked me so bad I could no longer train they didn't even reprimand the guy that did it either they put the blame on me the victim "well you shouldn't have let it happen" they said last time I checked neck cranks are illegal in competition so why use them in sparring any way I couldn't train anymore they refused to give my family the money back and continued to charge there card you guys preach honor and respect as martial artist but pull this type of stuff? Till this day my neck hasn't been the same I'll give them this though I did learn a lot here but what I had to go threw here it wasnt worth it find a different gym thatll at least refund you your money when there in the wrong I thought about returning but reading the reviews I remember why I never returned

Called to get my 8 year old started. Left a message. Received a text back after missing a call back. When I told them I had kids I wanted to start, & asked about any low cost family options, they said they were maxed out for that age group. Would have appreciated being offered to put on a waitlist, or ‘call back over summer’. But now after reading some comments regarding payments and being shady with money. Maybe they just don’t support local families with needs to budget. Was hoping to support a local business I heard about. I check this one off the list. Thanks guys!

After spending some time here, I can safely say that this place is an excellent gym to learn either Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai properly. If your a beginner or out of shape, i recommend the fundamentals classes. No matter what fitness level you are at, it is a great workout depending on how hard you push yourself. Sparring is, mostly, only done in the gold team class. This class you have to be invited to, by taking enough fundamental classes, or you have proof that you have prior experience in the art. At the end of every month there is an exam based on the techniques that were being taught for belt stripes or a final prerequisite for admission to a belt promotion test. It is a family friendly environment as many children take classes before the adult classes begin. The people are very friendly and try to help you out as you learn. I definitely recommend Selva BJJ.

I have been training here for just over 2 years and the experience has been great. I understand there are many different gyms out there with different styles of training that I have read about but the way Selva is run seems to be pretty effective. The way the gym was run compared to now is totally different and is able to cater to both beginners and veterans. Workouts are tough but it really depends on how hard you push yourself. There may be times where it can be a little hectic around the gym when competition seasons start but you can bet on the gym getting right back on track as soon as its over.

I do the personal training with Monique Selva. Twice a week. Its a clean facility with one one focus, to work your body. She handles me different than she would handle another client. Each session is designed to focus on areas of my body that will benefit me. Ive worked out with her for three months, dropped 35 pounds , become stronger and flexible. I would reccomend this training for anyone who wants to invest in them selves.

I've been training here twice a week since the summer of 2010. Great coaches for both the adult and kids program. My 7 year old son is in the tiny tigers program and goes 3 times a week. When I started I weighed 210lbs now I walk around 165lbs. Can't say enough good things about the academy.

I've been training here for over 4 years and haven't looked back. I started brand spanking new as a white belt in jiu jitsu and through my consistency and coaching here at Selva I am currently a purple belt and competing. This facility is worth every penny, they give you literature on what it takes and the type of training needed to become a black belt in jiu jitsu as well as to compete at a high level. I had no martial arts prior to my jiu jitsu career except for wrestling. The instructors spoke to my style and work ethic which gave me the opportunity to be a 2x IBBJF national champ in jiu jitsu. They also offer MMA, Muay Thai and Women's Only Boot Camp. I Can speak on behalf of the women's only boot camp I did it for 60 days and lost 15 lbs, it gave me the discipline to be able to loose the weight and compete in BJJ.

By far one of the best schools you can ever train at not to mention the Matt space and the professors are sick with it when it comes to technique Jason Fabricio Jimmy Moe these are top of the line instructors so come get your roll on

My son began taking jiu jitsu classes last April. We have seen his self esteem rise up. He is more confident and has matured a lot. The coaches are great. They are teaching him discipline and hopes to be an overall good athlete. The gym is local and very family friendly. In addition, the gym is always hosting family events. Highly recommend it.

I've been going here for about 4 months, I do the bootcamp and when I can I do the women's self defense class. The self defense class is taught from a very practical approach, and coach Mo makes the classes fun. The woman's boo camp classes are lower weight high repetition type of exercises, with some cardio. You go over the exercises before you begin your workout and if you forget the instructor goes over them when your doing them without judgement. It is nice to just show up and have someone else tell you what workouts to do. I have lost about 2 inches of my waist from just this, it would have been more but I like food to much. The place is very family friendly, they have events on weekends like the 323 market and zumba. My nephew does the jiu jitsu classes and it has helped him with his temperament and focus on aspects of his life, mainly school.

My children have been coming here for 6 months and I don't see us leaving anytime soon. Not only are the coaches efficient in teaching the children BJJ technique while building their confidence, discipline, and muscles. The owners are hands on and amazing. They really make it feel like a family as they support each student, child or adult, throughout their journey.
