Be careful! Someone of the staff was going through our whole luggage in our room, while we were on the road, looking for money and stealing a part of it. Not all of it, so that it’s not too obvious, but there was definitely something missing and someone had clearly opened the suitcases and backpacks. Confronting the reception they acted really poorly, didn’t really believe us and told us to look again, if we can’t find the money elsewhere in the room or otherwise go to the police. We would have liked to confront the manager about it but it was not able to reach him or her. At the end, the hotel wasn’t willing to compensate our losses, neither seemed to be interested in our story nor it seemed that there were any consequences for the hotel staff. Really disappointing for a four star hotel, something like this has never happens us before!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay. Staff here were excellent. Would highly recommend the wine tasting which included a historical tour of the stunning property. Food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. And the pool at the Bistro at the top of the hill had stunning views. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. It is a real privilege to stay in a property with such a long history. Be sure to visit the town and its beautiful boutique independent shops. This is our 2nd visit to Hotel Casagrande and we will definitely return again!

Our stay was amazing! The staff was very professional and very accommodating. Service with a smile! I do recommend booking the wine tour with Anna. She was absolutely amazing and funny! She made the tour pretty exciting for my daughter as well!. The wine made by Casagrande was very good and super reasonably priced! Luckily we drove from Lux to Italy so we managed to purchase quite a few bottles! The history of the villa was also pretty incredible and very interesting to learn about. Soooo much history in the Villa! We had dinner one night, and the food was amazing as well and the portion size was generous. We also enjoyed the random rainstorm that came in! We enjoyed both swimming pools. The view from the outdoor pool was amazing overlooking the town. There is a lot to do in and around the area. And many restaurants! The rooms were very spacious and massive. The pictures don’t do it’s justice to show the true size!. We booked both the Sophia and Hortencia suites. The beds were very comfortable! The location was perfect as you are in the middle from many of the main cities. I highly recommend Villa Casagrande!

I forgot two shirt in the wardrob. And nobody found it. It was probably stolen by the cleaning lady or something. So be careful, don't forget anything in this hotel. They won't bring it back to you. Moreover, the restaurant of the swiming pool is catastrophic. The food is bad and the waiters are terrific. They forgot our dishes, we wait 1h to have 2 salads, and they did mistake 3 time on our bill, costing 3x more than what i had to pay. Fortunately i didn't par without checking the amount.

We absolutely loved this Villa! The rooms were spotless the sheets and towels top quality and the staff amazing. Marco, the massage therapist is one of the best therapists I have ever been to. Don't miss Anna for cooking class! We will be back!!

Nice place, in the village but on top. Depending on which room you're in, you probably can hear the guests from the restaurant or the street with cars. The receptionist was in his métier, very professional and made us feel comfortable. I haven't seen many like this on my trips, heads up! The apartment we stayed in was nice. Only disadvantage is that you need to pay for a spa experience and the breakfast isn't that great, I expected more of such a hotel. The staff of the restaurant which provides the breakfast for the hotel was stressed and rude. We heared them discussing in the kitchen. We don't know the problem, maybe it was just that day, but this doesn't fit for to the image they are trying rto conceive.

Amazing hotel! All of our rooms ("Rosa" and "Orchidea") were massive, had a kitchen with dining area (with kitchen supplies; cutlery, plates, glasses, oven etc.) and a big bedroom! Rustic Italian feelings. Cooking courses and wine tasting classes were offered by Chef Anna. We opted for the Pizza and Pasta course (gnocchi, pizza, focaccia, pesto, tomato sauce and cantuccini made from scratch). Amazing!! It made me go back in time and feel as if I was cooking with my grandma. Lovely and rustic Italian kitchen. The ingredients were all fresh from the farm or garden. Delicious! Positives: friendly staff, amazing courses, pretty scenery, location (from Figline Valdarno you can be in Siena, Arezzo or Firenze in 1 hour). Plenty of parking places, lovely pools (indoor and outdoor). The hotel itself is beautiful. Negatives: gym (*very* little and old resistance training equipment). Wellness area was under construction/ renovation so it was not accessible. Breakfast buffet was not the best: little to choose from, but most importantly, I would have hoped for (served) freshly brewed coffee and cappuccinos. We instead had to use a coffee machine in the buffet area. Some annoyances here and there about the shower; the water was set to our preference but would turn either super cold or super warm after a few seconds and lasting for a few seconds (for the entirety of your showering).

Absolutely amazing place to stay. So much history, very luxurious, incredible service, amazing amazing amazing restaurant, and so close to such a sweet little mediaeval village, very very romantic. Highly highly recommend, you won’t regret it

Beautiful hotel converted from an old manor house, big rustic rooms and attentive customer service. Best to go out for breakfast though as it was very disappointing.

Very unique hotel. I would absolutely recommend booking the wine tasting as well! You get a tour through the hotel and the cellars and you taste all 8 of the Casagrande wines and you get some small things to eat. The swimming pool at the hotel requires a cap so we went to aqva for the outdoor pool. It is like 3 minutes walking and not hard to do when you are a healthy human being 😉 The breakfast is served for you due to Covid, so it might take some time. However, you are on vacation so you have all the time in the world and when you come early it is not busy at all. Dinner is also very good but there are plenty of other places to eat in town as well.

Nice rooms and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are large, well appointed, and very clean. House wine is very good. On site restaurant was enjoyable. The beds are typically Italian, as in, very hard and not comfortable. Figline is a wonderful little village with some truly amazing restaurants. Very walkable. Easy to get to the local area. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place with amazing history! I would 100% recommend the wine tasting tour. Beautiful garden! The restaurant was a little overpriced for us but we could arrange a little birthday celebration easily which was amazing! Breakfast was rich and delicious!

We stayed for a couple days. Because of the renovations, we cannot say anything about the spa. The old fashioned rooms were good and clean. A perfectly working air conditioning helped through the hot Italian summer nights. The service of the reception was excellent. Unfortunately the breakfast was hardly mediocre. Every day you will get the same choice of food. If you are unlucky, the bread and cake is from yesterday and therefore not fresh or soft. The eggs were boiled till tuning blue-ish , the scrambled eggs were undercooked and fluid though. Every hot dish turned cold quickly, because of no sufficient heating container. Coffee which ran through a big machine was quite okay. But you have a a few option of caffeine-free beverages, which was quite nice. The restaurant for dinner performed similar in quality. The pool looked nice but you have to walk up a hill to reach it. A lounger must be rented for 6€ per day. A small city centre can be reach within 5 minutes with some shops and restaurants. All in all for a hotel calling itself luxurious there is a lot of lost potential.

Our agent booked this hotel as the highlight of the trip but a big disappointment as the spa and pool are closed due to renovations. If we knew we would have chosen elsewhere. Instead we got treated to the construction noise of tile cutting. The shower water was sometimes only lukewarm. There were no amenities we were expecting horse riding, ceramic lessons etc none of it there, basically just a room in a 14th century mansion, don’t expect anything that you read on their website, The staff were great and the food was very good. The town piazza and people were great, there is a rail station to get you to Florence or Pisa or wherever.

We booked 4 rooms for a group of 8 people.  The hotel is a winery inside a castle wall (with no nearby plantation) and the rooms are in well condition, spacious and fully equipped. The dinner were included and had a lot of choices and of good standard. The dinner place is a courtyard and was most enjoyable in the October weather. The captain of the restaurant Christian is most helpful. We have to give a special thank to reception staff Jonas. Our transport to the hotel was an electric rental car but the hotel do not have charging facility. We tried to use public charging on the street but was in vain as we did not have payment account. Jonas found and allow us to use a plug in the workshop so that we could charge our car with a converter provided by the rental company. Without Jonas's assistance, we could continue our journey. In all, it was a value for money and enjoyable stay.
