I was recently in Milan and near the fantastic B&B where we stayed in Via Ripamonti at number 190 you can find a small, clean and super welcoming place called: Il Crostone. You can eat spectacular crostoni and delicious craft beers. The products are of the highest Piedmontese quality. The owner is called Angelo. A well-prepared and very kind boy. He will tell you about how his business was born, the products that come from Piedmont and their origins. If by chance you arrive when it's closing like it happened to us, I can assure you that he will kindly seat you and feed you without making you worry that he was about to lower the shutter. His professionalism mixed with his courtesy and humanity will make you feel at home. And yes... right at home. For me, eating well when you are out means feeling a bit at home. Awesome! Delicious food! We took a crostoni #51 with goat cheese and onion jam, recommended by the owner and then other crostoni. Really delicious, excellent products. 🤩 Small and welcoming place, the red wine accompanies very well!! Table also outside. It's the second time we've been back but we'll be back again. Yummy and tasty toasted bread with beef from Piedmont and lots of flavoured ingredients making the whole meal such a treat. Kind and helpful staff, ready to make suggestions and provide explanations about their "best sellers".

TOP! Piedmontese delicacies in street-food style. Ocelli cheeses, Barolo bresaola and a spectacular Bra. You can't die without going through Crostone first! You will go to hell, otherwise!!!

Angelo always welcomes you with courtesy and a beautiful smile (this is never taken for granted anywhere) the environment is pleasant and very particular with tables made from barrels and the food is extraordinary (all Piedmontese DOP products therefore BRA sausage AND MUCH MORE )!! Truly quality. Absolutely not to be missed and DO NOT CALL IT TOAST because the bread here is an exceptional and artisanal raw material expertly seasoned and served. I go back every week... have you never tried crostoni? shame on you.

An excellent place with a very varied menu and excellent quality of raw materials. And those who don't like bra sausage (the workhorse) can choose other types of crostoni.
