**DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE** We did book a small car online, received a handwritten email confirming the booking. Once we arrived at the airport (quite late, when they were about to close), they told us we had booked a van instead of a car and the price had gone up 150€ plus there was 1900€ to pay as a deposit. ABSOLUTELY BONKERS! Couldn't get them to check our booking properly and had no interest in solving the issue, just taking advantage of the ''late night / no other options available'' to make us do such stupid car rental. Don't use this company again, they do take advantage of turists and lie on bookings so they do take more money of you.

I've rented a Renault Clio through DiscoverCar with Locauto. I've got a new Lancia Ypsilon in Hybrid. Very nice, small and economic car.Which was great for driving in Tuscany. Staff was friendly and professional and explained everything in detail. Very pleasant and easy car renting experience. Blocked deposit was returned by my bank the same day. I recommend Locauto and I'm sure I"ll return to rent with them :)

Don’t rent with Locauto, be aware! We rented a car for a week without full cave rage, drove gently and carefully. The car was returned early morning before the Locauto office was opened, so we just parked a car at the indicated lot and dropped a key. Couple days after we got an notification that a wheel has a damage, apparently it’s dented and the whole wheel needs a replacement. The cost is 400 euro!!! When we received a car, the company representative did not even mentioned the tires, besides it was early morning and heavy raining, so there is no way to see without flash light. Long story short, we are still in the process of dispute, requesting them to provide the pictures of the tire state before our rent as we are sure we did not cause any damage. Here is an advise, if you still decide to rent with them, take very detailed pictures of every single side of the car, wheels, interiors, before and after you deliver the car. Obviously this company is just taking the opportunity to scam the foreigners renting a car without full coverage.

Terrible company. We broke down in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany because the clutch on their rental vehicle failed. They then refused to send any replacement vehicle or taxi and also refused to reimburse our own taxi costs or the last day of rental. They left us by the side of the road to make our own way to the airport, miles from anywhere. Avoid like the absolute plague!

Rented a car for the weekend. Professional service at the booking desk and pick up point. Nowadays rarely one finds decent service. The personnel running the boots deserves a pay rise. Car was fine and clean. Car rented through enterprise.

My friends and I rented a car from this company, we ordered a Renault Clio and got a Lancia Ypsilon Hybrid EcoChic. 2021. It was very economical and in excellent condition. The staff were also friendly and quickly gave us a car. We made Smart Check and got our car fast. The only thing that brought a little delay was the registration form on their website, she did not want to upload photos and information. But with the support staff it worked. In the future I will use the services of this company.

Avoid, Absolute crooks. Charged me for damage to the car even though after dropping it off staff told me it is in perfect condition. Refused to show me evidence of the damage and just deducted my card. I am disgusted.

I am almost a fixed client for Lacauto, last time I rented a car in the Pisa airport. I never had a problem or issue in both check-in and check-out (always smooth), the staff are very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Probably one of the best rental agencies we have used. Very fast service to get the car (not asking you to re fill paperwork, very detailled info and thorough check in and out of the condition of the car) would recommend and use again!

Caveat Emptor! Scam company that will rip you off with spurious damage claims on return that are impossible to disprove unless you photograph every inch of the car in good light prior to renting.( see previous reviews that I wished I’d looked at before using this company) PS Thanks Julia, I’ve had enough ‘assistance’. The car was returned in the same condition as it was taken (which was frankly not great) and with no ‘big damage’ Unfortunately the only real recourse the renter has against spurious damage claims is to post their experiences as a warning to others and to avoid your company in the future.

I would happily hire the manager who was there on 29 July. She was dealing with a very dissatisfied customer (me) as I had been driving a useless Citroen spacetourer from their Bologna agency which was meant to be equivalent to a VW Touran. She was patient, courteous, and after I protested at having been given a Seat Leon rather than one of the many Tourans in the parking (that we’re expecting customers), she assured me it was a very good car with proper air conditioning, and it indeed exceeded my expectations. Good things with Locauto: quick service, and policy of scratches less than 5cm are not considered damage. Bad: Advertise a car, and you are likely to get a cheaper, inferior car in the same “category”.

Pre checkin before arrival was great and fast 5 minute hand over of the car. It was a bit unclear from the booking info where to go exactly to find the car rental, but we found it. Exact map coordinates would have to nice. Return was equally fast and trouble free despite the experiences we read from others.

Very easy rental agreement. Found a good few extra bits on the pre inspection so definitely double check the car. Staff very good and helpful.

Great location, 3 minutes walk from both arrivals and departures terminals. Beautiful cars, very clean inside and outside, disinfected (Covid 19). I felt safe renting a car. I got snowchains for free (you never know with the snow ;) ). Moreover Locauto offers different additional insurance packets. Car itself in good technical condition, really new, no issues at all, proper tyres pressure, fluid levels etc. It was very new with low milage. Pleasure to drive. Service crew top, quick service, all details explained, good level of English, no issues with communication. Additional plus: I could use debit card instead of credit!

We had a great experience. Super friendly staff, great value for money, clean car easy pick up and drop off. Security deposit was back in our account within a week. Definitely will rent from them again when in Italy. Mille gracie
