This is the moment I wished that I had a tour guide because after walking all day sightseeing I ended up here and its beauty and architecture have so much to tell about its architect and what each piece means. I did not have anyone to ask about it and all I could do was admire its magnificent building. I think that I spent like an hour walking around it and taking photos. There are wonderful views of the entire city - it's well worth taking the elevator to the rooftop for the impressive views. Plus they have helpful signs that tell you what you are looking at. It was a great way to put the entire city in perspective as well as see the hills in the distance. There is also currently a wonderful exhibit commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Unknown Soldier monument with an good explanation in English.

Majestic, amazing, great area. Everything here breathes great history. Wherever you look from this square, there is a deep, majestic history everywhere. Everything must be visited, about all those places it is necessary to read the information given by respected sources.

What an amazing place to visit, during the day or night and I would recommend both. It has lots to do and see in and around the area. It has several museums close by and inside this beautiful building. The architecture is absolutely stunning and I would highly recommend checking it out day and night time when it’s lit up.

Beautiful Victorian aged monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, but just round the right hand side you can walk through Campidoglio Sq designed by Michaelangelo and look out over the ruins of the forum. If you climb the Gemonian stairsconvent of Santa Maria just behind the monument you can see some gorgeous old frescos ❀️ Just an aside this is not near the Spanish steps they are on the other side of town. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Qiz2eDwD4qMWjTKW8

Cool place to see. The buildings and structures are huge and can be best seen from the road crossing. There is a small part to stand and take photographs of the place and the palace. The balcony you can see is where there were political speaches given by politicians.

. An impressive and huge building It's worth climbing all the stairs to the cafe and view the city from all sides, the enter free Waiting in the line just for a few minutes. You can go up to the roof of the building in the elevator for another 10 euros for an amazing view.

The architecture of the building is stunning and to be able to get in and look around for free is an amazing offer with it also providing an beautiful view of rome. The line to get in was a small bit long but is worth. You get to walk around inside the building a small bit but overall an amazing experience to be able to walk around and see it for yourself.

All I have to say is wow. This square in Rome is so beautiful and gives you the sense of Rome and culture. It is a center point in all of Rome and it is beautiful. Recommend a visit during the mornings to avoid long lines and crowds. It’s beautiful to view in the morning!

From the outside this looks absolutely magnificent even though at the time I did not know what I was looking at. Going up the stairs you get a nice view of the coliseum and you can tell this is center of the city with the roundabout right in front of it. However there is not much to see inside in my opinion. Take your pictures from the outside and save yourself some time and do not bother going inside.

A must see place before you visit the Colosseum! Highly recommended. Great view of the Colosseum. We also loved the drinks from the cafe.

What an impressive building! The size, the horses statues at the top, the height, the white color make it look like a standout. You can literally soot almost from any corner of the city. Tips: if you take a taxi, ask the drive to make a stop! Our driver did that while passing by, it felt like a dream 😍 (although we should be careful about road accidents)

Nice white marble structure, but relatively modern. There are several ancient ruins nearby and this structure was built on some of those ancient ruins. Few chapters in History has been lost. Worth spending sometime.

The arhitecture is stunning.A bonus is that children under 18 have free entrance on the roof and adults have a tax of 13€

Amazingly vast. The structure is outstanding to look at from any direction. When touring through here we were shown a photo of the 15 original architects and builders having a meal inside the horse statue - it’s that vast! Pretty impressive. It’s also a great location because any direction you look there’s something fantastic to see and learn about.

Never heard of this spot before visiting but this should be at the top of the list for seeing when in Roma. The monument size and beauty will blow your mind. Highly recommend taking the elevator to the top of the monument where you can see the entire surrounding area including great views of the colosseum and Basillica

This is indeed an absolute must see monument and a central hub in Rome, connecting several other mega historical spots. The monument itself is magnificent, one must see all sides of it to take in the beauty of this architecture. You can walk up the stairs up to the roof, from where the views are spectacular. You can see all the way up to the Colosseum! You could of course take a nice walk all the way up to the Colosseum from here, through Via dei Fori Imperiali along the Forum on both sides. And you could walk the opposite direction from Piazza Venezia towards the Fontana Di Trevi and all the way down along Via del corso to Piazza del popolo. Plenty to see all along the way and you should plan on at least half a day walking these areas. There is so much major history surroundings these areas and a lot to learn and take in!

The buildings design in this piazza is intriguing, and it's quite a different style when compared to the nearby Roman Forum.

I can stay here for sure for all the day! You can not just pass by "Piazza Venezia". It is a wonderful place which is full of lots of historical landmarks and contains a great history inside.

Great views, beautiful building from the outside. Did not like that you have to pay 12 euros to go up the elevator. (Did not go up) inside there is nothing. Too bad.

A must see in Rome. The Alter of the Fatherland, which is located there offers fascinating architecture, tourist atmoaphere and nice view (and thus photos πŸ˜‰). There are also many bars and restaurants nearby and the place is right away of the Colloseum.

Super beautiful… it’s free to enter. You have to pay to get in the top level but overall the free pass will get you a lot.. maybe 1hr in total

A beautiful square in the city center with a monumental monument. admission to the monument (lower part) is free, but it is worth paying 12 euros for the elevator ride to the top of the monument. The queues to the elevator were quite large, because the restrictions allowed few people to enter the elevator at the same time. from the roof, however, there is a beautiful view of the whole of Rome

When visited a Sunday in September, there was the band playing music there, the roads were closed nearby and people were walking around, the piazza itself has a lot of bus lines passing through there so you will go there to find which place you want to visit. The gardens are so well done you can't leave without taking a photo, and behind you will find the monument of Vittorio Emmanuelle II on his horse. So awesome place to go!

The building and the details of the statues are monumental. The trip with the glass lift to the roof of the building is worth a beautiful view in good weather (whether it is also worth the 12 euros - everyone can decide for themselves)... You also get a wonderful view on the other side of the river (at the Paola fountain).
