Clean and quiet hostel in a central location. Showers are hot and strong and there is a kitchen is available. Bringing your own alcohol however is not allowed, so this is a perfect location for whoever is trying to avoid staying at party hostels. The matrasses in the dorms are the worst I've slept on in Panama so far. (Inflatable boat shaped)

Very nice hostel in the middle of the beautiful Santa Fe. The staff was really friendly. The common area is beautiful. The beds in the dorms are not really comfortable but the rooms are generally clean.

Fabulous place, here everything is very "tranqulo", quiet. The weather is more fresh than the hellish David / Santiago and the nature is great. The Hostel Itself is very very cozy with wood walls and a great cure for the detail. Al the travellers here have nice story to tell and it's good to chill out on the hammocks.

Great spot with spacious rooms. We booked 3 nights here and ended up staying for 6. The owners are really nice and the staff are fantastic. The yoga studio is a nice addition to stretch out after a long day of hiking. The rooms weren't all finished when we visited but we got to chat with the owners about their vision and it sounds like it's gonna be amazing. The restaurant is a breath of fresh air with some items that are different from the arroz con pollo that everyone else in town serves. Our only critique is our hot shower had one hot setting and it was scalding hot. If you tried to turn it down it went to cold so we were balancing between super hot and cold showers. That said, this place is in a beautiful location close to town and accessible to many hikes and waterfalls. We appreciate the hospitality and look forward to returning one day!

Very clean and comfy apartment. The stay there is an expereince in itself. They also rent bicycles and e-bikes. I loved their hammocks around the property. There is a lot of morning noise from the nearby roosters.

The property is beautiful, and the staff was very kind. They have done some really helpful work creating a guide for hiking trails and things to do in the area. Without a car you can still see some really beautiful waterfalls and mountains, if you are down to walk. Would definitely recommend a 3-4 day trip if you’re looking for some time in nature. Speaking of the nature, it can be a little loud! Cicadas, dogs, roosters, etc… So maybe bring earplugs for sleep. I might suggest a small fridge for guests, and access to a coffee maker! The restaurant is nice, but open only 7-9am for breakfast & 5-950 for food & drinks. You really can’t find a cup of coffee in town and NO food after 8pm anywhere. I think as a foreigner, Santa Fe is a hidden gem— you can experience “real Panamá” here.

I was in town looking for waterfall hikes. La Qhia has an excellent vibe, the staff is extremely helpful and the location is easily walkable from town. The restaurant is laid back and the food was very good.8

We ate dinner here and enjoyed the meal. The service was good and the fish tacos were some of the best that I’ve had.

Great place with really nice rooms. We came with a plan to only stay one night, but ended up with three. Santa Fe has so much to offer and we could well see ourselves staying here for weeks without getting bored. The restaurant was very nice, and the staff was super friendly. Would visit again, no doubt.

It is a great place to stay. The rooms for 3 are reasonably priced but the dorm is to much. Better deal at other places. That said a relaxing place with a great location. Sounds like once they open the restaurant they are closing the community kitchen. Value will drop greatly but understand it from the business reason. Probably will stay else where when that happens.

This is a quiet and charming place in the mountains of Veraguas in a town called Santa Fé. If you are looking for a place away from crowd and surrounded by nature, here is where you have to go. There are different areas of hiking with beautiful views and magical waterfalls. The weather is perfect all year long, between 15 to 20C / 59-68F. Stephanie, the owner and her staff are wonderful people.

pretty good place to stay. the downside was that there were no towels for use in the kitchen. I kept forgetting and cooking and getting grease all over myself. I ended up repurposing a towel I had been provided for the bathroom as a general purpose napkin. I know paper products are crazy expensive in Panama but owing to the pandemic I could not buy bolts of cloth during the weekend. oh. also: people kept rearranging my food. and I lost track of a piece of meat. I don't think someone stole it - there were tons of frozen meats in the freezer. I just think that it was such a confusion that it got lost. I wish they had provided plastic tubs or bags for organizing your food. this really didn't matter much- I overbought on meat for the weekend and didn't miss the lost piece. lastly: the Panamanians who stay here like to cook complex two burner meals. I just accepted this and would and chill out waiting for a burner to be free. they moved their stuff one time when it was just simmering, but I don't like to brush elbows with strangers in the kitchen so I preferred to chill out and wait patiently. I recommend this attitude for enjoying Panama general, but be aware that you're staying at a hostel and other people may have a huge meal of stewed meat and rice planned. (I tend to just fry a piece of meat and then add veggies at the end)

Stayed here for 8 days last January. Beautiful little town, and this hostel was one of the best I've ever stayed in. The owner is wonderful and so very helpful with hiking trails, buses, things to do. The shared kitchen was outside and very user-friendly. The rooms were clean - I spent the first night in a semi-private room. The dorms were all bunks, but still very comfortable. And the common areas were clean, with spectacular views. I highly recommend a trip to this area, with a stay at this hostel.

We loved our stay at La Qhia, a great accommodation with a beautiful garden and hammocks to chill in. Enjoyed the free and delicious coffee in the morning, that provided the much needed caffeine fix for our hikes. Rey even helped us organizing a night hike with a guide, that was awesome! Thanks so much for a great adventure!
