I
was
referred
to
Dr.
Tomás
Grippo
for
a
case
of
glaucoma
in
one
of
my
eyes,
after
different
professionals
gave
me
different
diagnoses
without
giving
me
certainty.
Doing
a
little
research
on
his
career,
I
discovered
that
Dr.
Grippo
was
one
of
the
most
important
references
in
glaucoma
in
the
country,
with
a
notable
international
career,
a
pioneer
in
minimally
invasive
surgeries,
and
in
the
application
of
the
latest
technology
lasers,
and
a
long
etcetera.
.
I
thought
it
was
a
luxury
to
be
able
to
consult
a
professional
of
his
caliber.
Upon
arriving
at
your
office
for
my
first
consultation,
I
met
several
people
in
the
waiting
room.
The
atmosphere
was
warm,
cordial.
I
saw
Dr.
Grippo
in
passing,
greeting
some
of
his
patients.
Then
they
made
me
go
to
his
office
to
wait
for
his
consultation,
where
a
painting
that
was
hanging
among
his
many
titles
in
the
specialty
caught
my
attention.
It
was
a
simple
recognition
of
3
generations
of
doctors
from
the
same
family:
his
grandfather,
a
doctor,
his
father,
also
a
doctor,
and
Tomás
himself.
3
generations
dedicated
to
medicine.
When
Tomás
appeared,
I
pleasantly
discovered
the
person
in
front
of
the
doctor;
of
eminence.
He
patiently
answered
each
of
my
questions;
He
examined
me
in
detail
using
the
latest
technology
devices,
and
was
able
to
explain
to
me
in
great
detail
what
my
situation
and
my
alternatives
were.
But,
first
of
all,
he
knew
how
to
contain
with
remarkable
human
warmth
the
fears
and
anxieties
that
I
conveyed
to
him
as
a
patient,
and
with
a
humility
characteristic
of
someone
who
dedicates
himself
to
what
he
does
with
a
true
vocation.
I
told
Tomás:
with
3
generations
of
doctors,
the
Hippocratic
oath
must
mean
something.
He
said
goodbye
to
the
consultation
with
the
most
heartfelt
words
that
anyone
who
practices
medicine
has
ever
said
to
me:
you're
not
alone
